Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 621: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)
I didn’t know how long I would get this kind of treatment. I couldn’t even cry anymore. My voice was not heard. I didn’t know whether it was day or night. I was like a cow whose milk was constantly being squeezed. I could no longer fight back.
I felt numb. I just hoped they didn’t forget to burn the opium, so I didn’t have to feel pain and could fall asleep soundly. Humans... when I fell asleep, I could only hear the words of the mysterious man who always said that I was surrounded by greedy and selfish humans.
I wanted to agree with it, but King Theodore wasn’t like that. Maybe this was the reason why the king protected me so much. The worst thing had happened, and it was useless to regret it because when I begged for help, no one listened to me.
Queen Alicia... I was speechless. I... had sincerely wanted to be her friend. I helped her, but when she saw my condition, she only said she was sorry for it because there was nothing she could do at the moment. She couldn’t stop the maids who always came every night to take my blood.
And now I heard she went to her other residence, leaving me in the palace, completely alone with no one to help me anymore. Everyone conspired, and no one had any sympathy for me at this point.
What was I feeling? Was it the anger from being betrayed or the despair of feeling continuous pain? I didn’t know. I didn’t even know what I was feeling right now. Another drop of tear fell on my cheeks. I didn’t know how many days... or how many months had passed... I couldn’t tell the current time.
Then, I could hear footsteps coming towards my room. Was it time for them to take my blood? I tried to think of good things, so I didn’t have to hear all the horrible things they said.
"Cecil! Cecilia!"
King Theodore? Did I hear it wrong? Was it true that the voice belonged to King Theodore? No way... what was the man doing here? Why wasn’t he on the battlefield?
I wanted to answer, but I forgot that my neck was also slashed by the maids because there were no gaps in my body to make new wounds.
"Opium? WHAT DOES ALL THIS MEAN!?"
I flinched at his booming voice. I didn’t know what happened, but I could only hear the man telling his guards to call a doctor.
"Where’s Alicia? WHERE IS THAT WOMAN!?"
I wanted to ask the man not to scream because my body was in so much pain. After ordering all his guards to gather the ladies-in-waiting, maids, doctors, as well as palace guards who didn’t participate in the war, King Theodore approached me.
The man touched my index finger, one of the places that those humans had slashed in order to get my blood.
"Cecil... I’m sorry... I’m sorry... I didn’t know that it would end up like this. I will kill them all. They should get as many wounds as you have. I won’t let them and their families live in peace after this. Cecil... I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have brought Alicia into this. Cecil... I’m really sorry."
It wasn’t your fault. I wanted to calm the man down. His hand holding my index finger was trembling violently. Maybe he was holding back his anger. It wasn’t his fault. The man had tried to protect me, keeping my power that I also just found out about as a secret. This was nobody’s fault. This was purely due to the greed of humans.
I wanted to curse someone, but I didn’t know who I should vent my anger to. Thus, because I felt so tired, I tried to let it go. Anger, disappointment and hopelessness, those feelings were really tiresome. It made me cry. I would rather live with emptiness than have to endure all the anger that boiled inside me.
I didn’t mean that I forgave them either. I just chose not to think about it. The opium was enough to help me calm down.
However, I felt a little relieved now. After feeling trapped in the dark for so long, I could breathe a little easier now that King Theodore was here.
At least I didn’t have to be afraid if I heard footsteps approaching my room. I no longer needed to fear that there would be countless people visiting my room non-stop to draw my blood.
Then, I heard the sound of several people arriving. They opened my bandages one by one and gasped in shock.
"Your Majesty... these wounds... are starting to get infected. It will take a very long time to heal and also... all of these wounds will definitely leave a mark."
"Fuck. I will kill them all with my own hands. I will slash their entire family before their very eyes. Do everything you can. Heal Cecil immediately if you don’t want your lives to be threatened too!"
"Very well, Your Majesty. We understand."
I heard they were talking about sterilizing every wound on my body. I wanted to cry again because after a long time, someone felt sorry for my condition. They were different doctors; I knew because the touch of their hands was very gentle when handling the wounds on my body.
I just nodded when they asked if it hurt.
"Your Highness... you have bravely gone through it all. Sorry that you have to go through all of this alone."
Once again, I nodded my head weakly and I felt my tears start to fall. I could only say thank you silently. They gently wiped my tears away. Even their treatment was much gentler than my lady-in-waiting who let me cry all alone, wetting my pillow.

Every day King Theodore always came to visit me. He gave me the best medicine so I could get better soon, and slowly I began to be able to move my arms and legs again. Although it still hurt in some places, I felt my body become a bit lighter now. What’s more, the doctor said that I started to get addicted to opium, and that was why they tried to replace it with a milder pain killer, but as a side effect, I would fall asleep more often.
Today, King Theodore also came to visit me.
"Good morning. Are you feeling better?" asked the man.
I nodded. I could sit now while enjoying the morning air coming in through the window, and I smiled at the sound of several birds perched there.
"The wound on your neck is getting better now. It’s good progress. Don’t forget to take your medicine."
I smiled, feeling embarrassed. How could I forget to take my medicine if the man always came to remind me to take my medicine right away without missing a single time?
"The doctor said you should also learn to walk now. But don’t overdo it. Want to try standing?"
I quickly nodded. I was tired of laying down and just sitting on the bed for days. The doctor said the wounds on my feet had dried up. It would be good if I started moving my body again so that I wouldn’t get stiff and could move more freely in the future.
I accepted King Theodrore’s outstretched hand, and the man put his hand on my waist to support my body so I wouldn’t fall. It turned out that after lying down and not moving my legs at all for days, it made my legs feel very weak. I almost fell over if King Theodore didn’t support me.
"Oh, please be careful. Hold my hand tighter."
I nodded and managed to stand up straight. Slowly, the man released his hand. He stretched my hands and pulled them slowly forward. I repeated the movement many times.
"This will help your hands not get stiff. Do it once a day, but don’t push yourself too hard..."
King Theodore stepped aside again. Then, he grabbed my hips and lowered my body to sit back down on the bed. He also lifted my legs to stretch out on the bed.
"After this, you can rest again. Feel free to ask me anything if you need something by using this bell."
King Theodore raised my hand to touch a bell that was right beside me, which was tied with a rope.
"This bell will lead directly to where the maids are. You can ask them anything, and the one next to it, the bigger bell is for calling me."
"Thank you," I said in a low voice.
"Please don’t force yourself to talk just yet. You need a complete rest."
I nodded in understanding.
A guard came and whispered something that I couldn’t hear. However, from the name I accidentally overheard it seemed Queen Alicia’s whereabouts had been found. Since King Theodore returned to the palace, Queen Alicia had not gone back even once. When the guards and knights searched her in her residence, she was nowhere to be found.
