Chapter 630: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)

I really enjoyed my time in Birwick. Amadea and Hylios taught me many things related to my power. Amadea had the power of flames, so he taught me how to control flames while Hylios taught me to heal my own wounds so that every time I healed the wounds of many creatures in Birwick, those wounds would heal and disappear quickly.

All of that through a fun process. Now Amadea wasn’t as possessive as in the beginning. I was allowed to play with the other creatures, including the monkey that the man had accidentally injured before. I forced Amadea a bit to look for the monkey so I could treat its wound, and since then the monkey had become one of my friends.

Amadea said that Birwick was still stable even though the war outside the mountain was getting heated up. He told me not to worry about anything. My father’s kingdom as well which was on the edge of the mountain would automatically be protected as well.

Mera was a dragon who was said to be Amadea’s rival from the start, but now Mera became one of my friends who loved to listen to my stories. Mera was different from the dragon I met when I first came here. Mera was the leader of the dragon clan. His scales were as red as flames, and his yellow eyes burned like the sun.

Amadea said the two of them got into a duel to win the blessings of the Sun God, and Amadea is the winner. So from that he got the power as well as the task of the Sun God directly. Amadea once told me that at first he was just an ordinary werewolf. However, like me, he had a different power than most of the werewolves.

Hylios, a unicorn, who accidentally met with Amadea stated that Amadea had the blessing of the Sun God and from birth, and the man would become the guardian of Birwick Mountain one day. At that time, Mera, the red dragon, didn’t accept it and then challenged Amadea. Mera thought that dragons were the strongest creatures on earth, and there were no creatures that were higher than dragons, thus he confidently stated that he would beat Amadea easily.

However, what happened afterwards proved that Amada was far superior. So, since then the dragons held their own grudge against the werewolf clan, especially Amadea. Whereas the brown-skinned dragon that I met at that time was just a representative of the dragon group in Birwick so that they would remain under Amadea’s control.

Mera, the leader of the dragon clan, was quite a stubborn man. Somehow it reminded me of my father. When I accidentally met Mera, he insulted me and Amadea, who had a mate from the human race. I didn’t really mind it because I had heard a lot of Amadea’s stories.

Dragons naturally felt that they had a higher position than most of the other creatures because from the outside, they had stronger powers. It made them get arrogant, and the way to deal with arrogant individuals was by feeding their ego. I learned from my mother who always fed my father’s ego. Because of that, I quickly befriended Mera, making Amadea frown and wonder what kind of magic I did so Mera wanted to listen to me.

"I still can’t believe you earned their trust so easily."

"Ahahaha, I’m just speaking as it is."

I got off from Amadea’s back who was now in his wolf form. After making sure that I could take care of myself, Amadea allowed me to collect vegetables and fruits in the forest. Meanwhile, Amadea was going to resolve the conflict in the border where a wolf was found dead near the foot of the mountain.

I waved my hand telling Amadea to go.

"Don’t go anywhere. I’ll pick you up again in a few minutes."

"Yeah, I promise."

I closed my eyes when Amadea brought his face closer to give me a soft kiss. My heart was beating really fast, and I could feel my face getting hot again. I was still not used to all the touch from the man. Even though we had done it many times, there was something that kept me from being able to fully respond with all my heart.

I knew what it was, but I kept trying to brush it off. Amadea had said that I didn’t have to think about it, but my guilt still kept me from being able to fully return the man’s feelings. Every time Amadea expressed his love, I could only smile and say thank you.

Now it was the same.

"Okay, then I’ll go first. I love you."

I just nodded. "Yeah." That was all I could answer.

I wanted to say the same sentence, but my tongue felt numb. I had slowly started to accept the fact that I was Amadea’s mate, and Itried to forget my life in another place completely. Birwick was a pleasant place so slowly the intensity I thought about other places slowly decreased.

I also started picking some leaves that I could eat. So far, Amadea only ate raw food and I could follow him. I had to cook it first. Amadea had also made a kitchen for me to use to cook food from the forest.

I could differentiate edible mushrooms and poisonous mushrooms after being taught Hylios.

SSSK SSSK!

I looked back and found no one. It felt like I heard the sound of the bushes, but I saw no one there. I tried to divert my mind, thinking maybe it was just another animal that accidentally passed by like the monkey incident at the lake.

When I turned back to take the papaya fruit and the leaves which were taller than me, I heard the sound again.

I adjusted my hearing, but for some reason my legs felt weak and my head suddenly became dizzy. I had been feeling this discomfort for the last three days. Amadea also said that I was paler than usual. It seemed like I had eaten properly. Someone from the deer clan also said that the food I ate was harmless. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

I also felt like I didn’t move much. If I wanted to go somewhere, there would always be Amadea to take me. Before that, he never told me to walk alone. He would carry me on his back in his wolf form or run really fast. I forbade him to do the second option again because it really made my stomach churn. Last week, I threw up because the man took me running fast.

Then, I put down my slightly filled basket and sat down under one of the big trees. I heard the sound of the bushes again, and it was getting closer. I was already prepared to run in case a dangerous animal lunged at me. Amdea said that I was not completely safe alone. In Birwick, there were lots of dangerous animals.

Because we hadn’t done the mating process yet, Amadea’s scent couldn’t fully stick to me so if I stayed away from him for too long, the man’s scent would disappear and wild animals might tried to get close to me because they didn’t know that I was the mate of the guardian of Birwick Mountain.

"Are you Amadea’s mate?" asked a woman who was so beautiful that I was fascinated.

A golden haired woman approached me. I had seen a golden colored dragon before. Was this woman her human form?

"Yeah. Are you Mera’s mate?"

The woman chuckled and nodded her head.

"I’m sorry I haven’t introduced myself. It was my first time seeing Mera so close to a human so I didn’t want to interrupt the moment."

Then, we introduced ourselves. I saw her growing belly. I heard that pregnant female dragons were the most sensitive creatures and they often stayed alone with their mate in a desolate place.

"What are you doing here?" the woman asked.

"I’m resting. I’m actually waiting for Amadea while looking for some vegetables."

"You look pale. Are you okay?"

I nodded. I did feel dizzy earlier, but after resting for a while under the tree, I felt fresh again. I smiled as the woman looked at me intently.

"Oh, my. You have to be even more careful if you’re pregnant. You have to ask Amadea to find a cave."

"Huh? Pregnant?"

"Yup, you’re pregnant, right?"

Me? Pregnant? I looked down at my stomach in confusion. Since when was I pregnant? And how could this woman know that?

I wanted to ask what the women meant, but Mera suddenly appeared. The leader of the dragon clan followed his wife and planned to find a cave for his wife to occupy. That was why they came to the edge of the mountain to get away from the density of Birwick Mountain.

Mera frowned after seeing me.

"Where is Amade? Why didn’t he accompany his pregnant mate? Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Werewolves and their barbaric habits. How could they be so low as to let their mate stay alone like this? Oh, Cecilia. You are an unfortunate woman to get an insolent mate like Amadea."

I didn’t know what kind of answer I should give. Everything seemed to get tangled in my head. The words of Mera and his wife were enough to make me confused, and that question still didn’t find an answer yet when another voice came from behind.

"You’re pregnant?"

I turned and found Amadea who was dumbfounded in his place.
