Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 631: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)
Amadea and I looked at each other. We were also both confused about the information that was said I was pregnant. I tried asking Mera who had turned into a dragon and his wife was riding on his back. However, Mera just clicked his tongue in annoyance and said why I still questioned it. Then, he rushed to leave the place because he couldn’t stand Amadea’s stench.
Though, the last sentence wasn’t true. Mera was just exaggerating.
After Mera and his wife said goodbye to me, I was left alone with Amadea. The man still looked surprised. I let him sit for a moment and waited for the man to say something.
However, even after several minutes passed, Amadea hadn’t uttered a single word, and when I looked at him, he was still in the same position with the same shocked expression as before.
I took a deep breath and grabbed the vegetable basket to approach him.
"I think Mera and his wife said the wrong thing," I said to break the awkward atmosphere between us.
After I turned around to go back home, suddenly my body seemed to float in the air. The basket containing vegetables fell to the ground. I asked Amadea to let me down because I knew that the man would run very fast with me in his arms.
I didn’t like it because it sure would make my head feel dizzy. However, Amadea turned a deaf ear to my refusal, and in an instant, we were passing through the waterfall to enter the cave where the man lived before.
Amadea frantically looked for Hylios who was talking with the mountain troll near the mouth of a cave which was full of vines.
"I’m here. What is it? You look panicked," Hylios said then stood up to get closer to the both of us.
I took the initiative to get down from Amade arms, but the man didn’t fully let me go. He held my waist to stay beside him.
"Mera said that Cecillia is pregnant. Can you see my children?" asked Amadea directly without beating around the bush.
Helios blinked in surprise at Amadea’s request. Hylios said that Amadea had never asked for a future insight before. He was always the one who came to tell the man, and it was an unspoken rule in the unicorn clan.
"We are forbidden to read the future upon request. We have to do it of our own accord."
"Then, do it. Make yourself want to see the future of me and Cecilia. Is it true that the two of us will have children?"
I wanted to tell Amadea to calm down. The man looked so sure about Mera’s words, while I was still confused and didn’t know what to do. I knew the shape of a pregnant woman from the book I read, but I hadn’t had the experience of someone close to me being pregnant, so I didn’t know how to react.
I wasn’t even sure that I was pregnant right now.
"Amadea, there will always be a way to check pregnancy without looking into the future," Hylios said then stretched out his hand towards me.
I stared confusedly at Hylios’ hand.
"Then, do it. I want to make sure about it. Hurry up."
I glanced at Amadea who seriously asked Hylios to check on me. I was really curious too. Thus, when Amadea looked at me expectantly so that I could take Hyliose’s hand, it made me even more nervous.
"Cecilia, please give your hand to Hylios," the man begged.
I pulled back my hand. "Amadea, what kind of hope do you have?"
I wondered about the thing Amadea wanted. I needed to know it first so I could adjust my next response. Maybe I could copy the man’s response because I didn’t know how to react now. I also didn’t know if I should welcome it or feel disappointed. This happened so suddenly that I, who had no plans for this, was overwhelmed.
"The thing I hope... of course I hope that you are pregnant. It means that both of our love have a hard proof. Our baby will be a powerful proof of our love."
Love? I knew I had the same feelings as Amadea, but it was still hard for me to express it.
"What if all of this is just a misunderstanding? Are you going to be disappointed?"
Amadea gave a gentle smile that made me feel calm again. All my worries and annoyance slowly disappeared after the man said that everything would be fine. And I believed him.
"I will not be disappointed, Cecillia. I love you, and that means I will continue to prove my love for you. We still have a long way to go. Let’s spend our lives together."
Somehow, all the man’s words sound so convincing, and I felt like a fool for believing it right away. I believed them all without an ounce of hesitation. I nodded in understanding then reached out my hand to touch Hylios’s hand who had been waiting for me.
Hylios’ cold fingers touched my veins while looking me straight in the eyes. I could see his eyes gleaming mysteriously as he was reading my future. I couldn’t read what was going through his mind and what he was looking at because Hylios kept a flat expression on his face.
There was no smile at all, and it made me nervous.
"We cannot intervene. We can only watch," Hylios muttered and I could hear it clearly.
"Hylios?" called Amadea who wanted to know the result of what Hylios had read.
"Congratulations, Amadea. You and Cecilia will have a baby."
I held Hylios’ hand in disbelief. The anticipation that was bubbling up as soon as Hylios touched my hand turned into an absolute shock. I turned to Amadea who was smiling very broadly now. I had never even seen his smile this widely before.
"Cecilia...."
"A-amadea!"
I screamed in surprise when Amadea suddenly lifted me into the air while laughing excitedly. All the creatures around us gathered together out of curiosity. They wanted to know the thing that made the guardian of Birwick Mountain feel this happy.
"Cecilia, you make me the happiest man on earth!" Amadea exclaimed in a loud voice.
I held his shoulders so I wouldn’t fall, but Amadea’s hands were so strong that they held me tightly. Then, slowly the man lowered me down. He twirled me around while still hugging my body. I was really embarrassed because the many creatures that were surrounding the area also looked at us.
"Amadea ... I’m dizzy." My head couldn’t stand it anymore because the man kept spinning me while laughing so happily.
Amadea listened to what I said this time and stopped playing with me. I was so embarrassed when he announced my pregnancy to all the creatures in Birwick. He even told them to share the news with their respective clans.
However, something bothered me. Hylios looked visibly riled up. Usually, the man would be the most supportive person for our relationship or anything related to me and Amadea, but when Amadea announced my pregnancy, Hylios didn’t look happy.
I couldn’t describe his expression. The edges of his eyebrows curved down like a sad person, but his lips curled up into a very faint smile. Then, he looked down at my still flat stomach.
Amadea pulled my hand to return to the house near our lake. I looked back, waving my hand at Hylios who replied with a sweet smile. This time the man was really smiling, and all his expressions made me wonder what kind of future he had seen.
Amada offered to carry me until we reached our house, but I refused. As a result of the man’s excessive anxiety, the basket containing the vegetables that I picked earlier fell on the edge of the mountain, and I didn’t know what to eat at this time.
"You can’t go anywhere. From now on, you can’t move much. I will find you the quietest and safest place on Birwick Mountain."
I chuckled at her excessive worry. I wasn’t a dragon that every time I got pregnant, I had to stay in a special place. I felt comfortable in the wooden house made by Amadea. Moreover, our house was near a lake so I could freely enjoy my time with my other animal friends.
"But, I hear any pregnant female is going to be very, very, very sensitive. That’s why Mera is now looking for a cave for his wife to live in," said Amadea.
"Yes, but I’m a human. I feel normal, not sensitive at all. And I prefer this place."
"Are I sure? But, I know the most hidden place on this mountain."
"Really, I’m fine. It’s fun here," I replied to convince Amadea that this place was enough for me. I didn’t need an isolated place because that would make me feel as confined as if I was in Northendell.
Amadea played with my fingers. Then, my cheeks blushed as he pressed his lips against it with a smile etched on his face.
"Cecilia, thank you. I really didn’t expect this, but I’m really happy to hear it."
"Amadea, I don’t know whether I can be a good mother or not. I’ve never been pregnant, and the mother figure I’ve seen so far is just a mask. What if I let you down in the future?"
Amadea came closer and kissed my forehead. "I will never doubt it. I believe you will become a responsible and loving mother. You’re going to be the greatest mother I’ve ever met. You will love our children sincerely, and from there you will know how to become a mother. Besides, I will always be by your side. I will help and always accompany you."
Those words felt like powerful magic. Again, I nodded my head, believing every word the man had said.
