Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 637: The Ancient Curse (Cecillia’s Point Of Views)
Amadea’s temple was behind the waterfall. Just walking a few kilometers from our house, there was a temple with quite high steps, and I could see a dagger made of crystal.
One of the werewolves who accompanied me said that the dagger was the one Amadea used to fight against Mera, the leader of the dragon clan. After that, Amadea was appointed to become the Guardian of Birwick Mountain.
I stroked his head, making him smile. One thing that made Amadea different from all the people I knew was, even though he was faced with war, Amadea didn’t change at all. He still protected me, loved me, and also remained nice to me. The war didn’t change him, and that was what made me feel so grateful.
"Amadea, our little snowdrop and I will be waiting for you here. So, be careful."
Amadea nodded then kissed me softly. He sat up straight and closed his eyes to hear the movement of people on Birwick Mountain. He waited for them to do something before attacking them. Amadea never attacked without reason. He would start attacking them if the humans had killed any animals they encountered on Birwick Mountain.
I could see his brow twitching, and this time...
(A female deer) Amadea muttered in his head. I could hear it. As his mate, I could listen to whatever the man was thinking. And it seemed that this time, the humans of Northendell had killed an innocent female deer.
Amadea got up. He quickly transformed into a giant wolf with thick black fur then ran out of the temple. Several male wolves who had been waiting for him came running behind him. Only a few who were still resting were forbidden to join.
I was waiting patiently. One werewolf came back with a wound, and I gave it my blood to heal its wounds. I concentrated on closing my wound again, then a centaur came with a body full of arrows and rope snares. Some of the women and I helped pull off the ropes and arrows. I also gave them my blood to heal their wounds.
That night, Amadea didn’t come back, but I could feel that he was mad. I just kept asking him to be careful until the next day, many Birwick creatures appeared with injuries. I kept on cutting as well as healing my palms constantly.
There was no sense of compulsion. I did it voluntarily. It was different from when I was slashed without my permission. This time I really did it because I wanted to. There was no fear or doubt. I always cut my hand quickly whenever I saw the creatures of Birwick arriving with injuries.
I was treating a bear whose hand was almost cut off. Luckily, with my blood the wound slowly joined once again.
However, all the commotion suddenly became silent. I turned to the east. Flocks of birds flew away from Birwick Mountain, and it seemed I wasn’t the only one who felt it. The creatures around me also instantly fell silent while looking in the same direction.
"Amadea?"
I held my beating heart, which rang painfully. I left the injured bear, and a woman held me down.
"Amadea is hurt! I must heal him immediately!" I shouted in panic.
"No. Amadea forbade you to leave this temple!"
"I don’t care! He’s hurt now!"
I could feel it. Right in my heart, it felt like a pair of cold arrows was pierced so deeply that it scared me.
I kept trying to run so I could catch up with Amadea soon. I didn’t want this. I had to see him right now. I couldn’t be late! But, no matter how hard I tried to escape, their strength was so much bigger than me. I could only cry, begging them to let me go.
A centaur whose wounds already healed approached me.
"Let me take you. If our guardian was injured, I doubt the others would be able to survive. We have to heal him quickly," said the centaur.
Some of the women there still refused to let me go, but several male werewolves who were ready to join the fight again said the same thing as the centaur. Then, the black dragon that represented Mera appeared.
"The dragon clan has decided not to join this war. Mera gave an order that the fire dragon clan must immediately find another place to nest, thus the clan will go. But I... I will take care of you, Cecillia. You and Amadea are the incarnations of the Sun God as well as the Moon Goddess. You two are the guardians of this mountain. And I’m sure both of you can stop this. I will protect you not as a dragon clan, but as a vassal of Amadea."
I let go of the female werewolf’s hands holding me and walked closer to the black dragon.
"If Cecillia goes, we will also go to war," said one of the women there, followed by the others. They nodded in unison.
"We also live in Birwick, so we have reasonable reasons to join forces to protect our land."
I bit my lip and then nodded. The black dragon lowered its head so I could climb on its back. I had never ridden on a dragon before, and flying was something new for me.
"Please protect Cecillia. We entrust her to you!" shouted a bear from below.
"Of course."
I flew to the sky with the dragon. I closed my eyes tightly as I was carried swooping up into the air. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
"You can open your eyes, Cecillia. The views of Birwick will never disappoint you."
I slowly opened my eyes then saw the spectacular sight. Below us, dozens of Birwick creatures left the temple to join Amadea. I would also do the same. I only needed to heal Amadea’s wounds and then promise to come back as soon as possible.
"Amadea wait for me," I muttered.
I couldn’t hear Amadea’s voice. It looked like he built a wall to protect his mind from being heard by me. Amadea often did this when he was in trouble. He didn’t want to worry me. However, the more he hid it, the more it worried me, and this time I wasn’t going to stay quiet.
The little snowdrop and I didn’t want anything bad to happen to the man we loved.
"Amadea, please hold on. I will come to you soon"
