Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 709: Back To Business
Arielle just looked down in embarrassment. Perhaps because she never knew about those things, she couldn’t get used to it. She turned towards her husband, still with her flushed face.
"Then, what about you? Do you have any preferences, Ronan?"
Ronan just smiled. "My preferences don’t matter. The most important thing is that you enjoy our lovemaking. That already makes me very satisfied."
Could it really be like that? However, hearing Ronan say that made Arielle feel like a selfish person... sex required consent. Were Ronan’s preferences extreme enough that the man was worried she would be uncomfortable and reject him?
Was it really fine?
Arielle suddenly became restless.
"Thank you for thinking about me, but I really want to know what your preference is," she said, making Ronan bite his lip.
Ronan took off his mask briefly and placed it on the table. The man looked at his wife’s lips in longing. He certainly had his own preferences.
"If you look at it more carefully, I have several times shown you my references when I fucked you, Arielle," Ronan whispered right in front of Arielle’s lips.
"Oh! You Lovebirds ... I’ve only left you for a while, yet you already kissed so intimately like that, hihi," said Grandmother Bertha, which surprised Arielle. She briskly pushed her chair away until she almost fell if Ronan didn’t hold the chair.
Grandmother Bertha opened her fan and fanned her face, which looked very happy upon seeing Arielle and Ronan who couldn’t stop putting their hands on each other’s bodies.
Ronan straightened his head again, then sat properly in his chair. He didn’t even realize that Grandmother Bertha had arrived. He invited the old woman to sit on the chair in front of them. Ronan could talk about this with his wife later. It was a fun and exciting topic to tease Arielle, and he didn’t want anyone else to see the girl’s blushing face. Even if it was his great-grandmother.
Back to business...
"So... I heard that you are gathering some information about the past to find a way to break the Northendell curse?" Grandmother Bertha asked her great-grandson, Ronan.
"Yeah and I hope you can help us with some questions."
"If your question is about the woman named Leonor, I have already given all the answers I know to your wife."
Ronan nodded in understanding, but that wasn’t all he wanted to ask Grandma Bertha.
"Grandma, as your great-grandson I need some help... with Thebis."
Grandmother Bertha raised her eyebrows in interest.
It was no longer a secret that Princess Bertha was close to the Thebisians. She became a close friend of the late queen and now the relationship was passed down to the second wife, Princess Zohra, the sister of the current King of Thebis, King Nasser Al Wahny.
The relationship between Northendell and Thebis had a pretty poor record. Unlike Northendell and Wolgast, where Ronan was close enough to the current king, and so far they had any problems.
Even the construction of a new canal connecting Thebis directly to Wogas via Northendell was approved by him. The canal then became a new trade route, avoiding neutral territory where there was still no clear security.
At the beginning of the conflict in the neutral territory, it always started with Thebis who always sent their troops to that area, making the area as if it belonged to them.
However, Northendell, as the holder of the ownership certificate for the area, of course couldn’t accept it because in the treaty of the kings, even though the area was under Northendell’s hand, it must become a free area to facilitate trade between Thebis, Northendell, and Nieverdell.
However, as time went on, the hope of the predecessors wanted was very difficult to happen because Thebis was always trying to take over the place. The neutral territory that was envisioned as an area with the successful trade of the three kingdoms failed and turned into a slum with a high crime rate.
Northendell also had no intention of taking over and allowed it to continue to happen until the neutral territory became unruly land. Ronan also made a canal a few years ago to connect Thebis and Wolgast through the Northendell as a trade route.
Ronan did it first before Nieverdell did the same thing and took all the profits of the newly built trade routes at Niverdell. To anticipate that, Northendell did it first.
And so far, the trade route that he had just formalized in the last few months had been going quite well until recently Thebis began to move and send some of their troops to neutral territory to take control of the place.
Ronan certainly had to anticipate it and invited Archie, as the new King of Nieverdell who was now the landlord of the neutral territory, to work together to clean up the place from military forces.
And what Ronan did actually made the relationship between the two kingdoms, Northendell and Thebis even more strained. That was what made Ronan very busy lately, and he had to resolve the matter before the day of their departure for vacation.
He left the palace to continue to survey the neutral area...
And here was his opportunity. Grandmother Bertha was granted freedom to go in and out of Thebis by the late queen of Thebis.
"And what can I do for you? Aren’t you a king? I believe you have an easier chance to speak directly with King Nasser."
"That’s right. But right now, I need to get into Thebis without being found out."
"Oh, my great-grandson... you know I’m quite close to Princess Zohra. Don’t you think I’ll tell this to Princess Zohra? Don’t you get suspicious of me? Because logically, you and I are not close at all. We haven’t met in quite a while. We just happen to share one ancestor. Are you fine with that?"
Ronan chuckled, then smiled broadly. The man touched Princess Bertha’s hand, which was already adorned with wrinkles, and kissed it slowly.
"If you don’t care about me and Northednell, why don’t you leave this kingdom from the start like the D Ashryver family, my dear grandmother?"
Princess Bertha chuckled.
"Oh, you sweet little wolf... that’s why I like you. You’re more cunning than your mother, so I really like you. Tell me, what do you have to say about Thebis?"
Ronan’s red irises glistened with interest, and he was ready to reveal his plan to invade Thebis. Arielle already knew about this plan, considering it was related to Princess Cecillia’s memoir. Thebis was the place where Princess Cecillia brought Amadea’s heart before she took her last breath.
