Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 97: One Request From Arielle
"Did you call for me, Your Majesty?" asked Arielle.
Ronan stood up from his throne. He even put Riel on the floor roughly and walked towards Arielle.
"You look nervous. Are you nervous because your two siblings are coming?"
"Y-yes, I think so," answered Arielle. She stepped back because the man was getting closer.
"Tell me the truth, you’re glad your siblings came, don’t you? You expect them to bring a replacement wolf?"
Ronan closed the distance between the two of them. He pressed Arielle against one of the doors of the hall. The man put his hands on both sides of Arielle’s body and caged her in. His heart pounded wildly as he awaited her answer.
However, the man didn’t know that Arielle didn’t feel that way. She was worried about her own desires. She still wanted to go back to the South, but she didn’t want to go back so soon either.
Arielle’s chin was lifted by the king’s index finger. Arielle saw the piercing gaze of the red pair of eyes in front of her. It was so intense.
"Your Majesty, I’m just happy that my two older siblings came to visit," Arielle replied after she averted her gaze.
"Are you sure? You looked enthusiastic when you got the news that your two siblings were visiting, you must expect them to take you home, right?" Ronan said. He remembered Arielle scampering away in a rush earlier.
Arielle tried to push Ronan’s body away. She didn’t like this man’s attitude now. The king’s demeanor this afternoon was very intimidating, it reminded her of their first meeting.
"Arielle, I’ve already told you. If you want to go back to the South, I’ll give you up, right? I know it’s too soon to ask again, but do you still want to go back to the South?"
Arielle gulped her saliva as she felt nervous. She clasped her hands together in front of her chest to stifle her rapid heartbeat.
"I-I guess... I still want to go back to the South."
Ronan growled, not liking the girl’s answer.
"But... but I still hope to stay here longer," added Arielle.
The girl bit her lip and didn’t dare to look at the king. She probably sounded so presumptuous, didn’t she?
One of the man’s eyebrows rose. His head tried to digest the last sentence that Arielle said.
A wide smile formed on his lips. Ronan unhooked the cloth behind his head and removed his mask. He stepped forward once again and erased the space between himself and Arielle.
"Is that true?" asked the man right in Arielle’s ear.
The girl shuddered in shyness and held her ear. Ronan smirked at having discovered the girl’s sensitive spot.
"Tell me one more time."
Arielle got overwhelmed by the closeness of the two. She silently rested her head on the king’s shoulder.
"Tell me if you still want to stay in the North, then I’ll give you my all, Arielle. You like Frostberries? I will have William plant thousands of Frostberry trees in the gardens of Whitethorn Palace. Do you like rabbits? I will search all over the land and bring it to you."
Ronan wrapped his arms around Arielle’s back and tightened his embrace. He put his face in the crook of Arielle’s neck.
"Tell me, Arielle. What do you want, then I will give it to you immediately."
"Anything?" asked Arielle.
"Hm-hm, anything," answered Ronan confidently.
Arielle held the king’s shoulder tightly as the man touched her neck with his lips.
"Th-then... I have one request to extend the postponement of my wish to return to the South."
Ronan stopped his kiss on the girl’s neck and lifted his face. Arielle’s face was turning red, and the girl cleared her throat to erase any trace of her nervousness.
Arielle lowered her hand and rested it against the man’s chest. Her forefinger touched one of the buttons of the king’s golden shirt. She didn’t know why, but the button seemed to catch her attention more than continuing her speech.
Ronan was still waiting patiently.
"Um... I’m just asking for... Your Majesty stays friends with me even though you’ll like my siblings more," Arielle said shyly.
"Huh?"
Arielle peeked up and looked down again when she found the man’s face very close to hers.
"That... My two siblings are charismatic and knowledgeable people, and you’ll definitely like them both." Arielle bit her lip and she held back nervously after she asked such an embarrassing request.
"You’ll definitely like both of them, so I think you’d prefer to be friends with them. Even so! I’m not going to stop you from being friends with my two siblings, I’m just asking... that you won’t forget me. That’s all..."
"What are you saying?" asked Ronan, who couldn’t believe the request of the princess in front of him. "Me? Forgetting you? After all this?"
Arielle looked up, and Ronan could only watch the black eyes sparkle in front of him. Ah, if that was what Arielle wanted, then he would give it. It didn’t take much effort because Ronan had absolutely no intention of forgetting Arielle.
His eyes fell on Arielle’s lips which were red from the girl’s own bite.
"How could I forget this?" asked Ronan before he buried his lips on Arielle’s glistening lips.
Arielle, who was surprised by the sudden kiss, immediately closed her eyes.
The girl was still so passive, unable to return the kiss from the king. Ronan tilted his face so that he could access all of the girl’s lips. He stroked Arielle’s chin and asked the girl to open her lips.
Ronan didn’t waste his chance to deepen their kiss when the girl parted her lips. His hand grabbed Arielle’s nape. Ronan went down and kissed Arielle’s chin. He removed the girl’s coat to give him access to kiss Arielle’s neck freely. After he left a red mark on the girl’s neck, Ronan kissed Arielle again.
One of the doors of the hall opened, and William jumped in surprise to see the king kissing Princess Arielle and also squeezing the girl. Ronan, who felt disturbed, pushed the door closed beside him back and didn’t stop his fondling towards Arielle.
Arielle pushed Ronan away and covered his lips with her palms as the man looked down again.
"Was it William?" asked Arielle, who covered Ronan’s lips to stop his action.
"No, it’s just the wind," Ronan answered simply. Ronan tried to remove Arielle’s hand from his lips, but the girl just stepped away, which made Ronan sigh in disappointment.
In his heart, he cursed William and intended to make severe punishments with his subordinates for disturbing his time with Arielle.
"I think... I should go meet my siblings outside," answered Arielle nervously, who then snatched her coat back from the king’s hand.
Arielle opened the hall door behind her. But before she left the hall, Arielle turned around to ask something. "You did promise to stay friends with me, didn’t you?" asked Arielle. Her pleading eyes sparkled as she spoke nervously.
Ronan could only nod and soon the hall door was closed from the outside. It left him alone, even though he still wanted the girl to stay by his side. He wished he could just pull her back.
