LUCKY REINCARNATION: REINCARNATED WITH A HAREM SYSTEM-Chapter 107: Quin Xuxu’s cousin
No one knew how it happened or what had caused it. That night, after the end of the competition to decide who would be the next prime disciple of the Falcon sect, the protective barrier that surrounded the entire sect ground, which was dozens of kilometers wide, was broken!
The protective barrier was a level 3 formation that prevented beasts from invading the sect and also stopped anyone without the sect token from entering the sect.
But tonight, the barrier shattered like pieces of fragile glass.
Immediately after, large groups of beasts rushed into the sect along with martial artists from the demonic sect.
The disciples of the Falcon sect were caught off guard by the sudden invasion, and before they could react, it was already a massacre; corpses of their fellow disciples were scattered all over the place, many of the sect buildings were on fire, and blood shone with a crimson glow.
The ferocious beasts and the people from the demonic sect were already upon them, they were thrown into a confusing battle where they were forced to defend themselves against attacks from beasts and martial artists.
All of the higher-ups of the Falcon sect had immediately rushed over after the barrier shattered and were met with the devastating scene. Without having a moment to understand what was going on, they engaged the higher-ups of the demonic sect in combat, shaking the earth with their attacks.
….
Leon stared at the enormous skeleton shadow that glowed with ominous red light in the night sky, his heart thumping.
The pressure from that skeleton made him, who was already a level 4, feel fear; Quin Xuxu must be involved with why such a powerful attack had appeared.
Without thinking twice, Leon dashed in the direction of the skeleton’s shadow.
He might be afraid of death but one thing he would never allow was to let others bully his women!
Leon dashed through the chaotic sect grounds, avoiding people of the demonic sect and beasts that tried to attack him as well as slashing a few who were unguarded.
He was like a graceful saint in the middle of a bloody battlefield.
After running for minutes, a group of people caught up with Leon.
They were Bai Quing and some elders of the Falcon sect.
"Junior brother, where are you going?" Bai Quing asked after reaching Leon’s side. She didn’t ask if he was wounded since it was evident to the eyes that Leon was in very good shape; not a single drop of blood could be spotted on his robe.
"Senior sister, I think Master is in trouble; I’m going to help," Leon replied as they kept running.
" It’s going to be dangerous, you should return and assist the other disciples instead." Bai Quing said with concern.
Leon was her Junior brother, after all; she could not bear the thought of him dying.
Leon looked at her and shook his head stubbornly.
" I only care about Master," he said with all seriousness. Continue your saga on novelbuddy
Bai Quing and the other elders were stunned, they all looked at Leon with surprised expressions.
Bai Quing was especially so; she was touched that Leon cared about their Master as much as she did, but a part of her felt…sad, sad that Leon only seemed to care about their Master.
’Would he react the same way if I was the one in danger?’ she asked herself before fiercely shaking her head to disperse the thought, this wasn’t the time to be thinking of such things.
"All right, Junior brother. Just remember to stay behind and don’t put yourself in danger, you’ll only make things difficult for Master if she has to save you while fighting." Bai Quing voiced out with a soft tone.
"Mm," Leon nodded.
They said nothing else and continued to run toward the location where the shadow had appeared.
They arrived after a couple more minutes, it was the forest right outside the outer sect ground.
A large radius of five hundred meters had been razed to the ground, not a single tree was left standing and large craters filled the place.
Standing dozens of meters opposite each other was Quin Xuxu in her graceful white robe.
Her expression was solid and her eyes were cold as she stared at the six people from the demonic sect. Her hair fluttered with invisible wind as she stood straight like an arrow, a sword in one hand and a scimitar in the other hand; she was dual-wielding!
Opposite her were the six higher-ups of the demonic sect; they each wore dark red brocade robes and held different weapons made from the bones of creatures.
Two of them were at the 6th level while the other four were at the 5th level; they had red ominous energy surrounding them, and the faint image of a skull formed behind them as they stood side by side.
"Stop resisting, Quin Xuxu. You are a disgrace to the Quin family, a stain on our reputation! Not only did you bring shame with your talent, you even tried to frame my father hundreds of years ago!" One of the level 6 men of the demonic sect shouted with fury in his voice. It was a man with a huge figure and a thick beard.
Leon listened while he stayed hidden; his mission was to steal the ghost mother or whatever it was, which meant that Quin Xuxu and the others would be able to deal with these people as long as he stole the ghost mother. So until he saw the ghost mother, he would not show himself.
While listening to the man’s ranting, Leon realized what the problem was.
It turned out that this person was a cousin of Quin Xuxu when she was still in the Quin family hundreds of years ago; he was sent away to train in another sect at that time because he was deemed talented and wasn’t around when the situation between Quin Xuxu and her uncle unfolded.
He had only heard that Quin Xuxu had been banished from the family for trying to frame his father and that she had returned after many years to slaughter everyone in the Quin family because no one supported her when she was banished.
Had he not been away at that time, he would have been killed as well.
Leon shook his head, he could understand why this man was so angry. His father was killed, and his family was wiped out by someone who was said to have tried to defame them; he was acting in blind rage because he didn’t know the truth; Quin Xuxu was innocent and had every right to do what she did, this man’s father forced himself on her.
’Sigh, would he even decide to stop if he knew the truth? There are lots of unreasonable people in the world after all.’ Leon sighed internally and continued to watch.
"To get my revenge on a scourge like you, I joined the demonic sect to get stronger quickly. Who would have expected that a trash like you, who had no talent back in the family manor, would enter the 7th level before me? But it doesn’t matter, because today, I’m prepared to end it all.
Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. I’ll only cripple your meridians and sell you as a free sex worker, you’ll suffer till your death!"
The man shouted with a loud laugh.
