Chapter 108: Passage

After being reminded by Yasin, Sophia suddenly realized and stood up. She excitedly took Yasin’s hand and said, "Yes! Why didn’t I think of it!"

"But... we don’t even know where the warehouse of this mall is..."

Yasin smiled confidently again, and under everyone’s expectant eyes, he pointed to the drawing that Sophia had just drawn and said, "Obviously, the warehouse cannot be on the third and second floors, and Sophia has already explained the layout of the first floor very clearly, so there is no warehouse on the first floor! According to my experience, if there is a warehouse in the mall, it must be in the basement of the mall!"

Yasin’s analysis was rather arbitrary, but it also seemed to be very reasonable.

The people who had originally fallen into decadence and confusion suddenly had hope in their eyes!

"But...but how can we get to that warehouse..." Clarissa Thorne asked with some fear: "What should we do if there are zombies in the warehouse as well?"

"At this point, we can only take risks!"

Kory gripped the homemade spear in his hand and said nervously, "We can go down the elevator shaft! Even if there are zombies in the underground parking lot, there shouldn’t be many. I think with so many of us, we should be able to fight!"

Although they were still young, they had already followed Sophia to kill some zombies. The zombies on the third floor were cleared under the leadership of Rick, Sophia, and others.

Kory, who was already strong, agile, and aggressive, made a significant contribution in this. Killing zombies was not a scary thing for Kory.

Even Clarissa Thorne had previously killed two zombies under Sofia’s training.

"When I came up just now, I observed the passenger elevator. The passenger elevator can reach the -1 floor, which means that we can go to the basement through the elevator shaft.

However, we just came up from the passenger elevator, which means that if we go down from here, we will reach the underground parking lot instead of the underground warehouse.

There must be a large number of zombies in the underground parking lot, so I don’t plan to go down from the passenger elevator!"

Yasin shook his head and rejected Kory’s proposal.

"Then we go from..." Sophia looked at Yasin curiously. At this moment, she realized that she had been holding Yasin’s hand. Suddenly, Sophia felt like she was electrocuted.

She quickly withdrew her hand, lowered her head, and asked nervously, "Then where do we go down? In addition to the elevator that can go to the underground -1 floor, we can only go down from the parking lot entrance outside the mall."

"Let’s go down from the elevator!" Yasin continued confidently, "However, we are not going to take the passenger elevator, but the freight elevator!"

"That’s right! Why didn’t we think of that?! The warehouse must be connected to the freight elevator! Those goods have to be transported up from the freight elevator, so the freight elevator must be installed next to the warehouse!"

Clarissa Thorne immediately thought of the profound meaning of Yasin’s proposal.

Sophia looked at Yasin with some surprise and couldn’t help but look at this smart and brave man with some admiration.

"I know where the freight elevator is, but we have to go back the same way we came up to the third floor of the mall, and then go to the northernmost part of the mall. There is a freight elevator there."

Sophia said a little excitedly.

"Okay, let’s go to the third floor without further ado!"

Yasin said, looking at the twin sisters, and added: "After we go down to the third floor, we will find a store as our temporary shelter. You two sisters, stay in the shelter and wait for us. Remember, don’t act rashly or expose yourself. Blake and his men will not let you go easily. Everyone else, come with me to the warehouse!"

After saying that, Yasin turned around and walked towards the elevator control room.

The iron door of the elevator control room was on the east side of the rooftop. When Yasin took Sophia and others through the east rooftop, Blake and others were still brutally raping those young women.

But the original wailing screams had turned into weak groans and cries.

The young woman named Susan had been overpowered by the young man with the tumor. She was restrained against the railing, her body trembling as the man loomed over her with a wild, unsettling grin.

Nearby, the young woman’s husband watched in horror, his face twisted in anguish as he was forced to witness the cruel spectacle. The man with the scar sneered, pressing the barrel of a gun against the husband’s temple.

"Watch closely!" the scarred man taunted, his voice dripping with malice. "See what happens to those who can’t protect what’s theirs!"

The air was thick with fear and despair. The other survivors huddled in the corner, their eyes wide with terror, knowing that resistance would only bring more suffering.

Yasin observed the scene with detached indifference. This was the world now, one where power dictated survival, where morality had crumbled along with society.

A grim smirk touched his lips.

Perhaps, in these end times, it was better to embrace the darkness than to cling to the remnants of a dead civilization.

But even as the thought crossed his mind, he felt no desire to partake in such brutality. If he were to indulge in the chaos of this new world, it would be on his own terms, not for the sake of mindless cruelty, but for something far more calculated.

His gaze flickered over the terrified faces in the room.

This was just the beginning.

A middle-aged woman saw Yasin, Sophia, and others open the door to the elevator control room, and immediately chased after them nervously and asked: "Can you take me with you? These people are too perverted... I... I would rather starve with you... I don’t want to stay... I don’t eat much, just share some of the food you find with me..."

The middle-aged woman’s face was pale and she was trembling all over. The scene on the rooftop frightened her so much that she turned pale and looked a little crazy.

Sophia suddenly felt a little bit sorry and looked at Yasin with a questioning look.

Yasin glanced at the middle-aged woman with disdain, sneered and said: "We no longer have any food. We want to try our best to escape from here and find a new shelter. It would be great if you could join us! When we fight the zombies, we will have more strength."

Hearing that Yasin and the others wanted to leave the mall full of zombies, the middle-aged woman took a step back in fear. After looking at the densely packed zombies outside the mall in panic, she couldn’t help but cursed, "Mad! You guys are going to die, I won’t go!"

Afterwards, she retreated back into the crowd.

Yasin shook his head in disdain and walked into the elevator control room with Sophia and others.

Of course Yasin knew what this middle-aged woman was thinking.

What she said about following them was false; the real reason was that she wanted to seek refuge with them and get free food and drinks.

Yasin is not a saint, and he will not keep an ungrateful person. If this middle-aged woman is an alluring beauty, Yasin might consider taking her away and training her as his sex slave.

But this middle-aged woman was so old and ugly that Yasin felt sick just looking at her.

Everyone followed the elevator shaft to the third floor with ease, found a clothing store, settled Elena and Siona, and then, led by Sofia, headed towards the north side of the mall.

The third floor of the mall is mostly occupied by fashion stores and daily necessities stores. In addition, there is also a cinema and several small fast food restaurants.

Whether it was a fashion store, a daily necessities store, or a fast food restaurant, almost all of them had been emptied by Sophia and the others.

There were not many zombies on the third floor to begin with. After being cleared out several times by Sophia and others, there were almost no zombies left on the third floor.

Occasionally, a few zombies that climbed up from the second floor by chance were easily killed by Yasin.

Under Sophia’s leadership, the five people quickly arrived at the north freight elevator door.

"The freight elevator door is closed. We must find a way to open it." Sophia tried to pry the elevator door open, but the freight elevator door was so large and thick that she couldn’t budge it at all.

Before Sophia could finish her words, Yasin took out an electric saw like a magician. The roar of the motor rang out, and the elevator door was easily and roughly opened by Yasin.
