Lust System: Sword Genius in Women's World-Chapter 143 - Dragon [Part 1]
The dragon watched all four of them get ready, spreading out while the Harpy flew up; even though there were four, none of them was a match for her.
The red dragon stood before them, her body covered in thick, crimson scales that glowed faintly like heated metal.
She was a little large but not bulky, her form sleek and powerful. Her long tail swayed behind her, lined with sharp ridges, and her massive wings stretched wide, ready to take flight.
Two black horns curved back from her head, framing her piercing, crimson-like eyes that burned with fury.
Her claws, each as long as a sword, scraped against the stone floor, leaving deep marks.
When she opened her mouth, sharp fangs gleamed, and the air around her shimmered with heat.
The four of them knew this was going to be a hard-fought battle. Xavier wasn't sure they were going to win, but they had no choice; if escaping was an option, that would be their choice, but right now, it was kill or be killed.
[Challenge 7: Survive 5 minutes]
[Reward: Spell(Barrier Magic)]
[Challenge 8: Deliver the final blow]
[Reward: +50 to all stats]
'5 minutes, and then deal the final blow against a dragon, I'll get a barrier spell and an increase in my stats'
Xavier wasted no time as he cut himself a little, and his plain sword transformed; with his [Regeneration], he healed himself, and he was currently facing the dragon head-on while Sylve and the dwarf were sideways.
"I have nothing against you, but you should accept your death, and I'll make it painless." Her voice echoed on the floor, but none of them were fazed; she wasn't as big as the Hydra, but she wasn't a Hydra.
Xavier had no idea how to proceed, her powerful were flames, and as a dragon her flame would span a long area, though his new skill gave him increased magical resistance, he couldn't afford to get burnt
The dragon smirked at their silence, her wings shifting slightly as if testing the air.
Another problem was the floor was far too big; it was big enough for a dragon to fly around, which would make their battle even more difficult.
"So, no last words?" she mused, eyes locked on Xavier. "Fine. Let's begin."
Without warning, she inhaled sharply, her chest expanding.
Xavier's instincts screamed at him as he knew what was coming.
He dashed to the side just as a wave of searing flames erupted from her mouth, washing over where he had stood.
The heat was intense, even from a distance, and the stone beneath the fire turned molten, and the dragon didn't stop.
Sylve reacted quickly, slamming his staff onto the ground. A thick wall of earth shot up, blocking the flames from reaching him and the dwarf.
The fire roared against the barrier, but cracks formed almost immediately—the dragon's flames were too powerful.
The dwarf, taking advantage of the distraction, charged in with a roar, swinging his hammer toward her front leg.
The blow landed with a loud crack, but the dragon barely flinched. Instead, she shifted her weight, her tail whipping around like a flash of red lightning.
*BAM!*
The dwarf barely raised his hammer in time to block, but the force sent him flying, slamming into the far wall with a grunt.
This time, he didn't let what the Hydra did to him repeat again; he blocked the dragon's attack with his hammer and slammed into the wall without any of his bones breaking.
"You're durable," the dragon said, tilting her head.
"Let's see how long you last."
Xavier used the moment to attack, dashing in with his sword glowing slightly. It still hadn't absorbed any blood apart from the tiny drop from Xavier, so it wasn't as strong. He aimed for her wing joint, trying to disable her flight.
But the dragon was fast—too fast.
Before his blade could reach its mark, her claw lashed out.
Xavier barely blocked in time, his feet sliding across the stone from the sheer force. The impact rattled his arms, causing them to vibrate furiously; the difference in strength was clear.
The dragon was built differently than what he imagined; dragons were supposed to be big, but she wasn't; that would explain why she was so fast.

Above, the harpy saw her chance and dived from above; she wrapped her wings around her body and used wind magic to go into a diving state, and with her talons, she aimed for her eyes.
The dragon reacted instantly.
Her wings flared, and in a blur of movement, she twisted her body.
Instead of the harpy hitting her eyes, she was met with a powerful gust of wind from the dragon's wings.
The force sent her tumbling backward through the air but she quickly spread her wings to stop herself from slamming into the wall.
"You're all so predictable," the dragon sighed, almost disappointed.
"Do you really think I've never fought warriors like you before?"
Xavier gritted his teeth. They had barely scratched her, and she was already testing them like toys. They needed a new plan, and fast—because at this rate, they wouldn't last much longer.
"So you have fought warriors," Xavier spoke, and she turned towards him; she had her eyes on all of them, but her focus was on Xavier.
"Yes, I have" she replied.
"Then how are you here, this is the domain of the god of death, so you're dead, isn't that right?" Xavier asked.
Since she wanted to talk, he was going to talk; at least this way, he'd waste enough time for 5 minutes to pass. He wasn't sure how powerful the barrier spell would be, but it would be better than nothing.
"I was killed, everything down here was killed, so were all of you, and you're going to die for a second time, this time by my hand, and you human, I'll make sure your death is the worst of them all.
