Mage Legend-Chapter 375: Travel and Travel Beyond - Four: Damnation?
Chapter 375: Travel and Travel Beyond Chapter Four: Damnation?
The scene was chaotic; the sudden windstorm disrupted all the arrangements, sending the prepared flowers and drapes flying into the sky. Villagers stumbled over each other, and the soft boots of the Mage trampled over them, leaving a trail of muddy footprints. Cries of "ouch" and "ah" filled the air.
Wislin saw Lynch running over, overjoyed. He shouted loudly, "Lady, Lady! Wake up, see who has returned!" Morgan rubbed his eyes, as if not believing what he was seeing. The dwarf standing beside the ceremony Priest trembled with excitement, but at that moment, the sound of a spell echoed in his ears.
Morgan looked up and saw the Priest about to cast a spell, and fiercely kicked him in the knee. Pate Priest was wrapped in his white cloak and rolled into the dirt, falling in front of everyone. The dwarf clapped his hands, "I’ve wanted to do that for a long time! This nagging guy always said Lynch was dead, I’ve always disliked him!"
Like a gust of wind, the Mage rushed through the crowd, cradling his mother’s frail body. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he could only speak in a trembling, broken voice, "Wislin, what...what should we do?"
It was the first time Wislin had seen the Mage in such a panic, the first time Lynch had lost his composure. He quickly placed his hand on Lynch’s mother’s forehead, softly invoking the power of the Light God Pate, "Great Sun God, praise Pate, grant me a miracle to heal the patient in my hands..." The pure white light flowed into the frail body through her forehead, and Lynch’s mother’s eyelids and lips twitched, appearing to be out of danger.
"Your mother still needs rest; let her sleep peacefully, and she will recover," Wislin placed her into her son’s arms. "Find a cool place for her to rest, and we’ll discuss everything else later."
But matters did not go as planned. Seeing their Priest attacked, the Knights immediately pointed their spears at the dwarf Morgan and the suddenly intruding Lynch. They quickly formed a surrounding formation, ready to strike anyone who dared make a move with their hard weapons.
At that moment, Lynch discarded any precise thoughts, classifying anything daring to stand in front of him as the enemy. His eyes turned pitch black, his pupils swirling like whirlpools; the airflow around him accelerated continuously, and a silver Light Sphere appeared above his head.
Zilvra tore off her blindfold, feeling nervous and flustered at the Mage’s sudden departure. The Dark Elf, who had once adventured to the Limb Temple with Lynch, naturally understood that the silver Light Sphere represented fighting with full force. She drew her thin sword, her pair of purple pupils scanning continuously. With the innate intuition of a Dark Elf, those glistening iron cans were the most unpleasant to her eyes.
"Wait!" Wislin, sensing the bad situation, stood between Lynch and the Paladins, "Who are you pointing your weapons at? He is Mage Lynch, who helped defend Moon Harbor City for our sacred Pate! Do you intend to insult our great God?" He pointed to his Knight Badge on his chest, "I swear by the great Pate, what I say is true. Now, I need to take my friend and his poor mother to recover, heed my command, make way immediately!"
The Knights uniformly withdrew their spears, clearing a path. Lynch glanced at them, then cast a flight spell on the spot, ascending into the sky with his mother.
Morgan patted Wislin on the back, whispering, "It seems this funeral has infuriated our Lynch. He’s not even acknowledging anyone’s feelings, which is quite rare."
Wislin looked at the dwarf, grumbling in his heart, "If you hadn’t kicked the bishop over, it wouldn’t have been this troublesome." However, watching the Mage fly into the distance, he said, "I know where they’re going, come quickly with me."
Deluo, being further away, didn’t hear what was being said clearly. But seeing the Knights put away their weapons, he felt a bit regrettable, "Not getting to tussle with these Knights, what a pity!" In his mind, such a situation was just child’s play for Lynch, with no need to worry about the Mage getting hurt; the only important thing was whether he could fully stretch in this skirmish.
