Mage Manual-Chapter 1295 - 942: The Guardian Spirits of Five
Vishi almost immediately stood up, staring intently at the purplish-red phantom appearing behind the Sword Maiden.
The most ferocious Guardian Spirit, the Dragon of Extinct Grudges!
While it is not uncommon for a Legendary Mage to have a Guardian Spirit, it is extremely rare for them to be able to harness its power. Even Vishi herself could only borrow the power of a Guardian Spirit during her second reincarnation when she was at the mortal stage.
Being able to borrow the power of a Guardian Spirit surely guarantees becoming a top-tier Legendary Mage! Even if not achieving demigod status, one can still roam the world freely!
"If that’s the case, then indeed others have no chance against the Sword Maiden," Vishi sighed inwardly, "Damn, I wanted to see rivers of blood..."
But contrary to Vishi’s expectations, the others were not intimidated by the Dragon of Extinct Grudges; instead, they each erupted with astonishing auras!
At this moment, behind Diya appeared the Bronze Dragon, with the sun, moon, and stars engraved on its left wing, and scales and feathers of beasts etched on its right. With a resonant chime, the Bronze Dragon bestowed the Witch with the power of time acceleration!
The Guardian Spirit that commands time, the Chiming Bronze Dragon!
Vishi’s brow twitched wildly; another Mage capable of summoning a Guardian Spirit?
But remembering how Ash often spoke of the Sword Maiden and Witch, clearly indicating that the Sword Maiden and the Witch should be of the same genius level, she was no longer surprised, merely silently impressed by Ash’s excellent taste in women.
It seems there will still be rivers of blood, but the victor will only emerge between the Sword Maiden and the Witch—
Clang!
When Tamasi’s Triangular Pointed Shield met Sonia’s sword edge, the shield surprisingly managed to barely block the purplish-red sword light. Sharp thorns spread across the shield, and a black Dragon Shadow emerged around Tamasi. It had a raven’s sharp beak, was entwined with black thorns all over, and appeared to be bleeding every second, its ferocious and terrifying demeanor faintly exuding a touch of sacredness!
The nearly immortal Guardian Spirit, the Thorny Raven Dance Dragon!
Before Vishi could be astonished, she saw Hanna raising her Hand Cannon, surrounded by a mesmerizing purple light. Within the purple light, a noble and elegant Dragon Shadow emerged. It seemed to be wearing a hazy veil, radiant wings shrouding Hanna’s form, and Sonia’s sword light couldn’t even touch her!
The Guardian Spirit with Absolute Defense, the Purple Forbidden Consort Dragon!
Finally, it was...
Vishi looked at Freyja and noticed that even in the midst of the Guardian Spirits’ clash, Meiwa was not overwhelmed at all. Fully unleashing her Bewitching Aura, Meiwa’s pupils turned into heart shapes, as she turned to look at Ash, and a pure white phantom quietly rose from her body.
It was an existence of unimaginable beauty.
The pure white large fox clung tightly to Freyja, appearing as if Meiwa was immersed within it. Its fur was fluffy and smooth, and its charming visage held bright and clear eyes, with countless soft fox tails gently brushing everyone, even though separated by a distance, causing Vishi to feel ripples in her heart.
The most beautiful Guardian Spirit, the Luminous Love Dragon!
The five Guardian Spirits simultaneously erupted with power, intertwining purplish-red sword light, time acceleration, thorn enhancement, purple hidden domain, and luminous ripples, surpassing mortal combat power and shaking the world, coloring everything in chaotic hues!
Crack!
A massive rift traversed heaven and earth, and everyone felt a mysterious repelling force on their souls as if being expelled from this world!
"Did they shatter the Dream Heaven?!" Ash managed to spit out his ribbon gloves and asked foolishly.
"No, it’s the other way around — Dream Heaven is shattering, which is why they can fight!" Vishi immediately realized, "I tried summoning my Guardian Spirit before, but the Mysterious Chains blocked the Twilight Rosy Cloud Dragon... now as Dream Heaven is collapsing, the Mysterious Chains have silently failed, allowing them to summon their Guardian Spirits!"
"The third Angel Hunt... is really about to end!"
The five in battle seemed to realize something as well, but they couldn’t stop and could only turn to look at Ash.
Yet endless white light engulfed everything, completely disassembling everyone’s souls.
...
...
"Hah!"
Ash jolted awake, gasping for breath.
"What’s wrong?" Igula, sitting in the front row, asked while drinking water.
Ash was startled, realizing he was sitting in a car, driving on the highway. His mind hadn’t caught up yet, and he wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, murmuring, "I think I had a nightmare..."
"A nightmare, my foot!"
Nia kicked Ash’s seat from behind, making his head knock into Igula’s seat with a bang. She was truly angry: "There were five involved in the fight just now, and counting in Vishi, you’ve already entangled with eight women, you jerk! You, you, you’re too much!"
"Oh, am I included too?" Vishi, sitting next to Ash, asked calmly, "But, Nia, are you counting yourself and Filly in this?"
Nia’s lips quivered, lightly biting her lower lip unable to answer, so she vented all her anger on the seat, giving it a fierce kick. However, Ash had already grabbed onto Igula’s seat, at least his head wouldn’t hit it again.
"Can someone explain what happened?" Igula raised an eyebrow, "Seems like I missed something very interesting."
"Don’t worry, I’ll tell you during the counseling session," Ash mumbled.
Harvey turned the wheel, making a turn back to Gasiya, saying, "I want to know too."
"It’s nothing much, just that Sword Maiden and the others fought over me."
"Oh, then I’m not interested."
"Ash, your lips are so dry." Filly handed him a bottle of mineral water, "Have some water."
"Thanks." Without much thought, Ash twisted it open and drank, catching a glimpse of Filly drinking water as well. After taking a small sip, she stuck out her little tongue and licked her lips, making a gentle pop sound, all the while discreetly watching Ash, almost making him choke.
"Filly," Nia suddenly said, "did you just French kiss Ash?"
Igula slapped the car’s audio button, immediately took out a phone, and started recording, turning to look at them. Vishi’s eyes widened, "Master, when you and Igula do the counseling, can I give you a foot massage?"
"Keep dreaming." Ash tapped the maid’s head and explained, "It was circumstantial, not what you think—"
"Exactly." Filly nodded too, glaring at Ash with a hint of grievance: "And even though it was a kiss, Ash was holding Sword Maiden’s hand outside the door."
Everyone visualized that scene for a moment and looked at Ash with changed eyes, simply put, as if looking at trash.
Filly, a bit annoyed by Nia’s deliberate provocation, couldn’t help saying, "By the way, Nia, didn’t you say that Ash touched you all over before?"
But the little lamb regretted it right after saying it, noticing that Nia immediately lowered her head, not daring to speak, her body slightly trembling like a timid hedgehog.
Nia’s character was like that, pride hidden within inferiority, self-love born from feeling lowly. If not for competing for a chance to see Ash, she wouldn’t have brought it up—she never intended to use it against Ash.
She wanted to get closer to Ash, yet felt she didn’t deserve him, so when Vishi and Filly exposed her thoughts, she immediately shrank back, so ashamed she wished no one noticed her. But seeing others interested in Ash, she couldn’t help but step up and attack.
Sharper than a hedgehog, frailer than paper, Nia perfectly embodied the phrase "offensively strong, defensively weak."
"Sorry." Filly held Nia’s hand, apologizing quietly: "I, I didn’t mean to..."
"Shouldn’t I be the one saying sorry?" Ash said: "Though that time was also circumstantial, I definitely owe you an apology, Nia—"
"Thank you."
Nia stared at him blankly, her brain circling a few times before reacting, decisively kicking again!
Ash’s head banged against Igula’s seat again, and he promptly grabbed the Swindler’s phone to delete the recording, feeling relieved. More than making Nia angry, he didn’t want to see her sinking into an inferiority complex, though the price was his reputation taking another hit.
However, Ash felt that Nia and the others should have completely reevaluated him—after witnessing that big battle just now, any normal woman should keep their distance from him...
"Master, I’m actually curious about one thing." Vishi suddenly said: "Though they all seemed to assume you’d choose Sword Maiden just now..."
Filly and Nia’s ears perked up, thinking what’s there to question about that? Even they could see that Ash favored Sword Maiden the most among those five, and when all five pushed him to state his choice, Ash clearly could only give one answer.
Vishi slowly asked, "But was your answer really ’only’ Sword Maiden?"
Ash blinked, not answering.
Three seconds later, Nia kicked again.
