Chapter 1299: Chapter 945: Sending Ash to the Sword Maiden’s Bed

Slap.

The little one slapped him, and Felix felt much more at ease.

She caressed Ash’s cheek where he had been hit and softly said, "Ash, do you know that Filly likes you... Even knowing you’re just a promiscuous trash can, she’s still willing to jump in without hesitation. Hmph, maybe it’s because you’re a colorful trash can?"

"Filly told me, that man couldn’t take care of me because of the Stars Blessing, that man tried his best to protect me, and that man loves me in his own way... He even used himself as an example to persuade Filly to leave someone like you who’s always two-timing."

"Does he really love his daughter?" Felix murmured, "I wish it weren’t true, but I also hope it is."

"If it’s false, then I can hate him entirely, and hate the Vosloda Family; but if it’s true..."

Felix paused, took out her star diamond necklace, and held Ash’s hand, placing it together with the necklace.

Ash, I pray for you to protect Filly, may she not be hurt, may she not be heartbroken.

Stars, I pray for you to bless Filly, and also...

Bless me with the chance to meet my father again.

...

...

On the second floor, in the Sword Maiden’s room, the scene of Felix clasping Ash’s hand in prayer was vividly displayed on the Light Screen.

"Hmm—" Diya tilted her head: "It seems... Felix probably doesn’t like Ash, right? She just slapped him not long ago."

"It’s only a matter of time." Sonia said calmly, "She’ll like him sooner or later."

"But Ash is just lying there unable to do anything—"

"But it’s Ash, after all." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

In Sonia’s words, five parts were absolute confidence in her lover, and five parts were helpless sighs about him.

Diya thought for a moment and couldn’t help nodding: "So should we stop her from seeing Ash?"

"Swap with someone else, and then there’s one more person who likes Ash?"

"Then we can change it to a guy..."

Diya trailed off as she saw Sonia’s subtle expression, immediately realizing the flaw in her thought. Annoyed, she said, "What should we do then? Take turns taking care of Ash? Swap every day or every three days?"

"Or just let me take care of him." Sonia crossed her arms, glancing sideways at Diya: "Considering you can control human muscles, I definitely wouldn’t let you have long contact with Ash."

"I wouldn’t break Ash!" Diya protested.

Sonia continued, "In the Dream Heaven, you must have noticed there are two people who have been around but haven’t spoken much. One looks a lot like me, and the other looks a lot like Felix, they’re our shadows in the Kingdom of Allstars, named Nia and Filly."

Having interacted with Felix for so long, Sonia guessed right away what the relationship was between them when she saw Filly.

"Filly is the one who helped Ash summon the Holy Grail, and what they summoned is the Dull Holy Grail, which is enough to show that Filly is a demon." The Paw-wielding Sword Saint pondered: "A demon holds strategic importance in the Kingdom of Allstars, Filly is probably the only demon Ash can trust."

Diya blinked: "What do you mean?"

"I’ve been wondering if our interactions in reality necessarily influence the fate of the Kingdom of Allstars." Sonia said, "For example, the fact that Nia likes Ash doesn’t surprise me at all."

"The Ash in the Allstars still needs the help of the demon Filly. In such circumstances, it’s not harmful for Felix to have more contact with the Ash in Dazzling Star."

Looking at the calm and orderly Sonia, Diya suddenly felt something strange, frowning as she asked, "But aren’t you very against someone else touching Ash?"

"Right now, rescuing Ash is the top priority," Sonia said casually: "Anything to improve the success rate is worth trying."

"Speaking of which," she suddenly changed the subject: "You could use the Divine Being of Gospel to monitor the surroundings... You weren’t spying on what I did in Ash’s room, were you?"

Facing Sonia’s amused smirk, Diya’s heart skipped a beat, but she quickly stuck out her tongue: "Aren’t you forgetting Liss? If we saw anything inappropriate for a child by accident, it would be troublesome, we need to care for Liss’s growth, we wouldn’t spy on you!"

"Also because of Liss, my interactions with Ash have always been very aboveboard, unlike how reckless you are!"

"Oh...?" Sonia’s lips curled up: "Let’s say that’s the case."

"I’m going to cuddle with Ash to sleep later." The Witch slipped away, "I’m off to take a bath first."

"I’m going to sleep now too, my soul is exhausted, my body hasn’t recovered at all." Sonia waved her hand: "Good night."

After leaving the Sword Maiden’s room, Diya felt an inexplicable sense of discord.

But she didn’t think much of it, hurriedly took a bath, changed into her pajamas, and headed straight to Ash’s bedroom.

At that moment, the Witch suddenly remembered she should inform the Sword Maiden of a piece of intelligence from Inchi, so she turned to the Sword Maiden’s room. Just as she was about to knock, she found the door unlocked and, feeling playful, tried to sneak in to wake the Sword Maiden and pay back for blocking her earlier.

Inside, the lights were already off, with only starlight gently caressing the curtains. The Witch tiptoed over, saw the Sword Maiden already lying asleep, and quietly approached her bedside, preparing to capture her startled awakening.

But just then, Diya stopped.

She gazed at the figure in bed, her face filled with disbelief.

The Sword Maiden was crying.

Sonia lay curled up on her side, seemingly trying to protect herself. Tear streaks lined her eyes, sparkling tears sliding along the seams, dampening the pillow.

Diya stared blankly at this scene, finally understanding where her sense of discord had come from—the Sword Maiden had been too calm since coming back, too concerned with the big picture, too unlike herself.

Perhaps ever since others appeared, she had been sulking. No matter how confident, brave, and perfect she appeared, discovering the lover had four other companions (including Diya herself), how could she not feel wronged?

Even if Ash truly liked her the most, it didn’t matter, Insatiable Greed was Sonia Sevi’s nature, the largest share wouldn’t satisfy her appetite, she wanted it all.

But she absolutely wouldn’t reveal her vulnerability to others, especially in front of rivals, she had to triumph over everyone with elegance and beauty, as vain as she was.

When Ash was present, she could hold it together. After returning to Dazzling Star, she couldn’t bear the negative emotions in her heart anymore, feeling exhausted and wanting to sleep, even if it meant crying herself to sleep.

She was actually overwhelmingly aggrieved, but the person who made her feel that way was the one she most wanted to rely on.

Diya quietly watched her for a while, then suddenly climbed into bed to lie beside her. Sonia remained motionless, seemingly in a deep sleep.

But the Witch thought it still wasn’t enough, so she contacted Felix through voice:

"Felix, bring Ash to the Sword Maiden’s bed."
