Chapter 1305: Chapter 951: Ordinary Without Miracles

"Cheers!"

In the Secret Garden of Sword Flower University in the Kingdom of Stars, four female university students were clinking their glasses, catching the frequent sideways glances from nearby students. But that was all, as no one would be foolish enough to disturb the mood of the strongest young generation in Jiale City.

"I’m treating today!" Adelle said generously, "A round of drinks for everyone, on me, the Mage!"

Other students smiled and congratulated her, while Lois said with a hint of exasperation, "Those who don’t know might think you’ve achieved something legendary."

"But I became a mage in my second year, which is top of the class in the Water Magic Department!" Adelle proudly said, "Now I only need six years to earn enough credits to graduate!"

Lois poked her forehead, "At least graduate in four years!"

Ingrid sipped her classic iced tea and laughed, "Now everyone in our dorm room is a mage."

In late December, Adelle successfully resonated with the Void Realm and summoned the Water Therapy Technique Spirit, making their dorm the first elite dorm where all second-year students were mages.

It’s important to know that the majority of students at Sword Flower University become mages in their fourth year, and becoming one in the third year is already considered excellent. Achieving mage status in the second year is regarded highly, even at Truth University.

Sonia laughed and said, "I thought you, Adelle, would eventually summon a ’Film Review Technique Spirit’ from watching too many dramas, but I didn’t expect you to secretly cultivate Water Magic."

"I didn’t do it secretly!" Adelle grumbled, "Ingrid has been practicing swordsmanship every day, Lois is busy cultivating, and you’re never in the dorm, so I had no one to share my dramas with, and I reluctantly started learning... I’ve been studying for several months now!"

The Sword Saint winked, "That’s rare, are you going to continue your studies?"

"Huh? Why should I continue learning?" Adelle raised an eyebrow, "I’ve already completed my life’s main task perfectly, and I can assuredly inherit my father’s title. Now I just need to wait till graduation to get married and enjoy life!"

Lois clicked her tongue, "I knew it."

For both Guard Palace nobles and Court nobles, the title can be directly inherited, but the basic requirement is that the inheritor must be a mage; otherwise, it will be stripped. Adelle’s father only has her as a daughter, so if she couldn’t become a mage, the inability to inherit the title is one issue, but more importantly, the estate tax would be extremely high, and any asset linked to the title (like companies with over a hundred employees) would be seized by the state—"Title" and "Assets" will never be entrusted to incompetents.

For the sake of her future well-being, Adelle had to become a mage anyhow.

Now that she’s a mage, she can live a carefree life off her inheritance alone. The fact that she still wants to graduate from Sword Flower University shows a significant level of ambition.

"But haven’t you experienced the wonders of the Sea of Knowledge and would like to see a higher view?" Ingrid said with longing in her voice, "The Time Continent of Golden Rain, the Dream Bubble Shadow in the Distant Realm, and the Holy Land of Ruby Mountain for mages..."

"The Distant Realm is already destroyed," Sonia said, "Now the new third layer of the Void Realm is called the ’Dream Stairs’."

"But those places are so far away. It requires sailing thousands of miles in the Sea of Knowledge and breaking through to the Golden Level in Magical Realm," Adelle shook her head as she swirled the ice in her glass, "Besides, the scenery isn’t as captivating as movies and shows. Watching dramas is enough for me."

"But you could get stronger,"

"What good is getting stronger?"

"Getting stronger allows you to live the life you want."

"But I can already live the life I want," Adelle tilted her head, "After marriage, I’ll have afternoon tea, go shopping, raise pets, and watch dramas every day. Getting stronger won’t change my lifestyle, except now I can heal my small injuries myself. Yay!"

Lois said, "By getting stronger, you could find a better partner."

"No, changing would make me uncomfortable, and he would be sad too." At this point, Adelle stood up and twirled around happily, "This outfit was chosen by him when we went shopping yesterday. It looks better than what I usually pick!"

"I rarely comment on others’ lifestyles," Ingrid said, "But don’t you think having more power to control your life, Adelle, is better than relying on others?"

"It’s better, but it’s also more tiring," Adelle shrugged, "I don’t want to leave my comfort zone. Besides, isn’t today a celebration of me becoming a mage? Why does it feel like you’re criticizing me now!"

Lois: "We just want you to be happy."

"Actually, Adelle might be the happiest among us," Sonia laughed, "Without envy or blindly following others, knowing what she wants and being able to hold onto it... Adelle truly possesses a mage’s wisdom."

"See, see," Adelle said with a look as if she’d found an ally, "That’s the difference between you and a Holy Sanctuary Mage!"

"But as a Two-winged Mage, you can graduate without exams. Since you’ll be studying for credits anyway, why not use the study time to delve into Magic?" Sonia changed the topic, "The things you learn for exams will be forgotten soon, but Magic has a longer shelf life. Even if you don’t use it, wouldn’t it be better to choose an investment with a longer shelf life?"

Watching Adelle sink into thought, the Village Girl winked at the other two. Lois and Ingrid couldn’t help but sigh at the difference between themselves and Sword Flower—you can’t persuade Adelle with talk of future or grand philosophies; only credits and exam exemption could touch her heart.

"Is the accessory on your wrist some sort of trend?" Sonia asked with curiosity, "Why does everyone have one?"

"It’s the latest Rune Watch. We saw it while shopping and bought it," Adelle turned the watch, and the runes on it lit up, "When you turn it, the rune lights up to tell the time. Isn’t it pretty?"

"But doesn’t the Miracle Bracelet also tell the time?"

"If miracles surround you, doesn’t the ordinary without miracles seem particularly precious?"

Sonia was taken aback but then nodded, "That makes sense. I’ll buy one when I have the time."

"Oh, I have a gift for you all."

Sword Saint took out three Artifact Spirits, "See if you like them."

The three of them received the Artifact Spirits and absorbed the information inside, "Miracle Technique?"

"They’re all Miracles you could find useful," Sonia said, "As for the Technique Spirits, you’ll have to buy them yourselves. The gift budget I prepared only covers the Miracle Techniques; a bit more would hurt my wallet."

"Ugh..." Adelle scratched her head, "Mastering Technique Spirits is a hassle."

"This is the time to say thank you politely," Lois said with mild exasperation.
