Magic Academy's Villain Bodyguard: I Must Tame All The Princesses-Chapter 24: Bad Premonition
Turning a corner, Yvan and Azariah finally arrived in a secluded area.
Yvan panted hard as he found himself out of stamina and a lot of mana as well.
Meanwhile, Azariah was let free of his spell’s grip.
He looked at Yvan, knowing that if not for him, he wouldn’t have escaped from there.
"Thanks for the help."
Yvan looked at him for a second as he panted hard before nodding a second later.
He wiped the sweat off his face.
"Be careful next time. As long as you carry that badge on your chest, they won’t take kindly to you."
Yvan pointed to the Division 1 badge.
’He’s right.’
The situation was worse than what Azariah would have hoped for.
The Rosalith’s influence was spreading way too fast. At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before they would invade.
He needed to get stronger, fast.
In a way, his pairing with Yvan would prove to be beneficial. Maybe he was the only person that he could involve in this fight later.
As a main character, he was already destined to go through it.
So developing a relationship right now without having Azariah go out of his way was quite advantageous.
As Yvan and Azariah walked to the Committee offices, the latter reflected on the former.
As the creator of the game he was in right now, he had to admit it was quite unusual as compared to other games.
In most games, you’d expect the main character to hail from a family of pure individuals, as the main character was supposed to reflect those same values.
Under such statements, the real main character should have been Alyssa.
It would be perfect. She had the personality, the power, and Indraths represented grace and light.
However, he still went with the Percivals — a family quite notorious for their experiments, their shady trades, financial conditions, etc.
Their virtues literally revolved around darkness, so it gave the third person a negative image despite their immense power rivaling the Indraths.
Especially with its infamous cruel head, Samuel Percival.
Yet, the main character Yvan was from this same house. His personality and values later on didn’t reflect an ounce of what the Percivals were known for.
Maybe Yuito had done so because Yvan was, in many ways, similar to him.
’Holy self-insert.’
Nothing he could do about it now. He was a big retard when he made the concept of the game anyways.
Focusing ahead, Azariah shifted his attention to his main targets now — getting stronger and identifying the targets in the following days.
That was all he needed to do.

[A week later]
It had been a week now since Azariah officially started his Regulation Committee duties.
During the week, the potion’s effects had finally started to become one with his body, and he was feeling much better.
The daily morning training and the weapon training in classes were yielding great results.
Slowly but surely, he was getting better.
He could handle multiple Division 2 students in riots as well now.
Within the week, his relationship with Yvan had developed quite a lot as well.
Both of them were now used to fighting alongside and taking mutual decisions.
Their actions were coordinated in fights, and the black-haired boy knew when Azariah required his help.
Much like the others, Yvan was also surprised by Azariah’s progress. The latter was a quick learner, and his reactions were insanely fast.
His control of Umbrakinesis was getting better, and in personal training sessions, his cast time for Pixelation was improving as well.
Moving back to the main situation, however, he now had much more information on Rosalith’s move.
Apparently, even within the Division 2’s, multiple groups had formed with one leader leading them all.
That leader...
Was Victor.
It was insane how just a small decision on the first day had led to such a big change. In the game, Victor did not even have the slightest relation to the invasion.
Rather, he was one of the people who helped in defeating them. It was Alyssa, in fact, who was nowhere to be found within the main fight.
In an event where multiple injuries took place, the first-ranked student was nowhere to be seen.
Regardless, the future was different now.
He found out that under the orders of Rosalith, Victor was responsible for making both Divisions clash with each other.
It was easy for him to manipulate the weak-minded boys in Division 1 and use them further for attacks on weak Division 2 students.
At the same time, he would use other individuals with him and save those Division 2 students from his attacks, acting as their savior.
By making himself loved by both, it was easy to manipulate both parties and brew tensions between them.
At the upper levels, Rosalith would use Victor and his pawns to allow them easy entrance into the academy’s premises.
And what better way was there to allow them inside than at a public event where the academy’s security would be at an all-time low at the gates.
Azariah was brought to attention as Evangeline suddenly banged her palm on the table, attracting everyone’s attention.
"Okay everyone, I have an announcement today."
All the students who were gearing up to leave the class stopped in their tracks.
"In the next week, Edo Academy will hold its first public event as it does every year."
Instantly, whispers and excited gossip were heard across the class.
"As you all know, we make sure to prioritize your other talents and skills at Edo other than training and theoretical as well. This is where Societies come in."
Even though everyone knew what they were because of how famous they were, Evangeline still explained them to everyone.
They were basically like clubs or groups for people with other talents or hobbies — such as, but not limited to, cooking, mana robotics, mana foodology, historical sciences, etc.
People who were not part of Committees could join these societies to become a part of a community with similar interests as them.
They were led and managed by the seniors. Trips and activities were arranged by the leaders for the societies through the budget given by the academy.
"For the first year’s inaugural day at their societies, the academy holds a public event every year where the societies demonstrate their objectives and projects in order to attract future prospects."
"It is a huge and important event for the start of your social lives here at Edo, so make sure to choose the best society for yourself — one that aligns not only with your interests, but whose people align with your morals as well."
Evangeline clapped, ending her talk.
"That said, I wish you all well for the coming week, and remember you have a lot of time to decide."
As she left the room to an excited atmosphere, there was only one person who had a grave expression on his face.
’This is going to be fucked.’
Azariah knew that hell was coming the next week.
