Magical Girl with Demonic Time Magic-Chapter 122: Quick Ending
I land on the ground of this forest, watching the Black Hero land softly as well. He stares at me, gripping his sword. Finding him was considerably easy once I tried to see the future.
He was in a subway train with other monsters near the city’s edge, so using the time magic I possess made it simple.
"You seem quite furious. None of that calm, mocking tone from before," I say, watching him quickly lunge forward to try and cut me down. But it’s useless.
He seems absurdly slow—not because he is slow, but because I’m using time magic to slow down my own perception of time around me and accelerate my body.
It’s like slow motion. However, using this makes my head hurt. Because the memories of Number 0 grow stronger, and with those memories come visions of Ayane... visions that fill me with pure hatred and jealousy.
I aim my gun and fire. He’s also very fast and dodges the giant magical beam that gets discharged. He tries to come at me from the side, but I block his sword with my hunting knife.
He looks at me, shocked that his sword can now barely match the hunting knife I’m holding.
"..." I feel a massive magical fluctuation in the environment and immediately fly upward, evading the attack. I look down and see numerous blades of flesh on the ground.
’Even though time magic is incredible, my stamina is still low...’ I watch as the blades grow until they’re dozens of meters tall. I charge at the Black Hero with a thrust of my knife.
He reacts by defending, but I release the knife and change direction in an instant, appearing behind him with my gun pointed directly at his spine. I fire a shot, but he manages to dodge with a jump.
But in that same instant, I’m already close to him, firing numerous shots that generate a barrage of magical beams. He defends using a strange magic that creates a dark sphere of twisted flesh.
Unlike most winged beings who need to gradually change direction and reduce speed, I don’t have to. I can change direction instantaneously while maintaining my speed, which allows for these rapid attacks.
’Defense is too high... Let’s see how it holds up...’ I summon the Sniper rifle. I haven’t tested its power yet; until now, only the pistol was firing shots capable of destroying buildings and even city blocks, depending on the magic I use.
I aim the sniper to shoot at the sphere, but it seems the Black Hero senses the danger. He abandons his defense, charging at a speed so high I can’t dodge, and I lose my arm and the weapon.
I see the Black Hero’s form. It has changed, becoming more distorted and monstrous, his face splitting open into a bizarre and disgusting mouth.
"You damn bitch, you think you can humiliate me?" he says with a horrible, distorted sound that’s painful to hear, moving so fast that even with my slowed time perception, he’s still too quick.
I try using another time magic. The time around my arm reverses, making my arm completely recovered. But the headache hurts even more, and I see a vision of Ayane with Ophelia.
’It’s fake... it’s fake... it’s fake...’ I lose my concentration with this vision of Ayane, receiving a blow that sends me crashing through numerous trees.
Using the power of time proves to be absurdly easy, but with the condition that the memories of Number 0 unfortunately become even clearer.
I get up from the broken trees, seeing the Black Hero charging at me with a demonic smile, clearly wanting to finish me off quickly.
I feel the magic spreading through the air as his sword emits a red glow. I generate the sniper rifle again, holding the stock and barrel of the gun, letting his sword strike the side of the sniper.
The impact is so violent it throws me backward with incredible force. I feel my arms breaking and again use time magic, reversing all the damage.
’3%...’ I feel this number running through my mind. By reflex, I use time magic, completely stopping time within a 5-meter radius. I glance sideways out of the corner of my eye, seeing a blade about to touch my neck.
I notice a violent magic being formed in the surroundings, starting from him as the core, and I realize I underestimated his power. I thought I could defeat him without relying so much on Number 0’s power.
But in the end, even for this, I will need her power. The Black Hero is the strongest category and type of monster. I guess it makes sense that 3% of power can’t defeat him, since he can destroy an entire country alone.
"10%..." I start using more of Number 0’s magic. Another horrible vision appears—Ayane and Ophelia... Ayane betraying me with her. This makes my jealousy explode as I use 10% of Number 0’s power. I force my body to move and point the sniper directly at the stationary Black Hero’s head.
"10%... If I can fight you with 3% of my power, then 5% is enough to kill you. And with 10%, I will eliminate all the monsters on earth." That same black liquid drips from my eye.
"One month... That’s the future I see before the extinction of monsters on earth..." The magic begins to load into the sniper rifle, the bullet taking on a corrosive black hue to ensure his death.
"You couldn’t kill me..." I feel a pang of disappointment at that. Perhaps if he had killed me, I would never hurt Ayane... but I know it’s a useless hope, since I would just reincarnate and Hexael would simply make everything happen again.
"..." I take one last look at him. I feel no satisfaction or interest in this. The fight ended quickly... as quickly as I expected, since a battle between him and me depended on who landed the most lethal blow first.
And in the end... there’s no way he can defeat time itself. The sniper’s bullet, fully charged, signals that his end has come. I pull the trigger, watching attentively to see just how powerful the sniper is.
Its shot fires a magical blast so large and powerful that the Black Hero’s body is completely disintegrated, along with a huge chunk of the forest. I see kilometers of trees completely gone, leaving a profoundly unnatural scar.
The time around me starts flowing again as I notice the Black Hero’s magic completely dispersing until it vanishes.
"That was... unsatisfying..." I say in a monotone voice. One of my eyes observes the destruction I’ve caused, and the other watches Ayane betraying me with Ophelia.
’She wouldn’t do that... but it feels so real...’ I feel this desire to kill them, but I decide to ignore this horrible vision and return to Ayane’s house. I will use every night for the next month to eliminate all the monsters on earth. This is one of Ayane’s dreams.
To eradicate the monsters and make everyone safe... I will fulfill this dream for her, while keeping myself distracted with it.
