Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 103: Grudge
Davian didn’t respond, he just continued driving. He got to the building where the penthouse was located and parked his car at the parking lot.
They got out and got into the building. They walked towards the elevator after giving the receptionist a quick greeting. They entered into the elevator once it opened and went up floor. The trio continued walking when they walked out of the elevator.
Leah’s heart was hammering violently against her rib cage. What would Mrs Elizabeth say or do once she sees her? How will she react? She hasn’t seen her until now, she was a little shaken.
Davian pushed the button of the door bell. They had already removed the bodyguards, they didn’t see any need for it since the storm was over and Elizabeth wasn’t too comfortable about the whole bodyguards idea anyway.
The door opened and the housekeeper, Rose came into view, "Oh, welcome sir Davian,"
"Thank you. How have you been? How are you doing today?" Davian asked as he walked in with the other duo.
"Very fine, sir," Rose answered very simply. She shared a brief greeting with the ladies.
Elizabeth who was in the living room initially, stood up to welcome her son immediately she heard his voice.
She shared a hug with him, smiles on their faces. When they broke the hug, that was when she finally noticed Becca and...
Leah?!
She was more than surprised to see her, she was agitated. This woman put her son in a total break down years ago- Almost leading to severe depression.
"What is she doing here?" Elizabeth demanded.
Leah bowed her head, "I’m so sorry, Mrs Randell,"
"I really don’t get what you are apologizing for," Elizabeth replied.
"For everything. For even thinking of showing up here," Leah continued.
"Mom..." Davian held his mother’s hand and brought her aside, put of the living room so they could talk.
"What is she doing here?" Elizabeth asked again.
"(Sighs) Where do I even start mom? Leah just came back to town-"
"And so? What difference does that make? Why is she here? Have you forgotten so easily what she did to you years ago? Don’t tell me you still have a soft spot for that woman after all these years? After what she made you go through? I thought you loved Silvia now?!" Elizabeth questioned.
After Silvia had admitted her feelings to Davian and they decided to go on the honeymoon, that was when both Davian and Silvia had told his mother what they were sincerely feeling for each other.
They informed her that what was now binding them together wasn’t the contract anymore, but they had both developed feelings for each other. Elizabeth could not bring herself to believe it at first, I mean her son Davian...well maybe.
But Silvia Reyes? In love with her son? But slowly she started looking at Silvia in a more different light after then. Slowly, she discovered that what Silvia felt for her son was truly sincere. She got to know the girl even more and she realized she wasn’t really that bad of a person.
Gradually, Elizabeth’s relationship with Silvia not excluding her mother, Janet Reyes had deepened and become less uncomfortable. Now, Elizabeth couldn’t lie about the fact that she has grown quite fond of the women.
Now this?!
"No mom! I don’t know why everyone keep insisting that I still feel something for Leah. I don’t, I used to but not anymore. Sincerely, all I feel for her is rage and resentment but I’m just trying to be civil," Davian responded sincerely.
"Civil? So you have forgiven her so easily?" Elizabeth continued.
"I already forgave her a long time ago mom, I held a grudge against her for a very long time and slowly I discovered it wasn’t doing me any good. So I let it go, remember? That was how I was able to get over my depression," he replied.
"But it doesn’t mean I have forgotten about what she did. I can never forget-"
"Then why is she here?" Elizabeth asked once more.
"She works as a business promoter now and recommended my firm to companies as her way of trying to make things up (Scoff) I really didn’t ask her to. Three of the companies are interested in making business deals with 3D.
"I decided to accept the offers but I wouldn’t have if I had known she was required to be present at the first meeting with the companies since she was the one who recommended us," Davian responded.
"I see, but what if that woman keeps coming with more deals so that she can be close to you-"
"I won’t accept more, mom. I...had only accepted this because she look so sincere, so eager to make things up and I knew she must have put a lot of effort into it." Davian interrupted.
"What about Silvia? Does she know? Is she aware of this whole thing?" Elizabeth inquired, obviously worried.
"Yes." Davian responded simply.
Elizabeth sighed, "Fine. But tell her to get out and don’t you ever bring her here again,"
He nodded.
They went back to the living room.
"Uhm, Leah, Becca. You both should head back on your own, I’ll go back to 3D once I’m done here," Davian instructed.
"Okay. Good bye Mrs Elizabeth," Becca was the one who responded. Elizabeth just nodded at her.
The two ladies walked out of the penthouse.
"Well that didn’t go down too well," Becca started.
"Why did you apologize immediately? It was as if you were guilty of something," she added.
"I am guilty of something, I left Davian. I did something wrong," Leah responded, matter of fact.
Becca groaned in frustration, "You shouldn’t have apologized right away. Ah, see...from now on, while you are trying to win Davian over also keep in mind that you have to win Mrs Elizabeth over too,"
Becca didn’t like Leah one bit, any woman in love with Davian was a threat to her but...she was trying to see if she can use Leah to break Silvia and Davian up. If that happens, then she will dig up some dirt to get rid of Leah.

There was a gentle knock on the door of Sentencia’s office. "Come in," Cia told, wondering who it must be because she didn’t have any appointments at the moment.
The door opened and a woman walked in. The woman was a middle aged woman, tall and still looked so alluring despite her age.
"Hello," the woman smiled at her.
"Hi, please have a seat," Cia offered her a seat which she took.
"So how may I help you?" Sentencia continued.
"Well for starters, my name’s Anita Manchester. I see you are very much acquainted with Logan, I am his godmother," the woman told.
Oh...
Then she’s not here for a medical check up or counsel and the way she just used the name Logan so intently and informally, she must be referring to Logan Preston.
"You must be referring to Logan Preston?" Cia inquired.
"Very correct," Anita responded.
"Okay. Is something wrong?" Sentencia asked further.
"Nothing is wrong. I just want to talk to you about Logan," Anita answered.
"What... about him?" Cia asked cautiously. The woman let out a breath as she collected a card from her purse and place it on the table in front of Sentencia.
"This is my card. I don’t feel or think the hospital is the right place to discuss this at, though it’s nothing to be tensed or worried of. Why don’t you just give me a call whenever you are free? Then we can meet up and chat a little," the woman smiled but Sentencia only stared at her.
...Few days ago...
"Her? This is her?!" Jenny responded as she stared intensly and intently at Sentencia’s picture which her mother had handed to her.
"Yes, she is the woman Logan has been spending time with and I am sure she is clearly the woman he is interested in. Apparently she is a doctor and she works at White bridge hospital owned by the Reyes and from what I heard, she used to be the ward of the Reyes after she lost both her parents," Anita elaborated to her daughter.
"What is so special about her? I’m even prettier than her, what does Logan sees in her that he is so interested in?" Jenny questioned.
"I asked myself the same questions," Anita replied. "She is also acquainted with Finland Lee, because she is also seen associating with him," 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"What? (Scoff) She must be a gold digger-"
"Nah, she doesn’t seem like the type. I don’t think she even knows that they are part of the syndicate, if she does? That is what I am more worried about.
"What if she is a spy working for Finland Lee? Or worse? We just can’t be too complacent," Anita responded.
"So what now?" Jenny inquired.
"I’m going to pay her a little visit at her workplace," Anita grinned.
