Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 129: Who are you?
The police took Axel to the police station and when Zane, Olivia and Leo were about to leave, Olivia’s parents stopped them.
"You can’t do this Olivia. He is your brother," Philip started.
"He was never a brother to me," Olivia responded.
"He is still your brother. Forgive him and stop this madness now! Mr. Yul?!" Olivia’s mother joined in, also directing her pleadings to Leo.
"Can you hear yourselves?! Mr. Shipman, Mrs Shipman! Olivia is also your child, she is your daughter and you let Axel treat her in the worst possible way.
"From what I heard, you also endorsed and participated in this act Mr. Shipman, I should also have you arrested if not for one thing. And you, Mrs Shipman, you did nothing but standby while your daughter got hurt both emotionally and physically," Leo took a pause.
It was as if his words were truly sinking into their minds. They stood there embarrassed because their heads were a little bowed especially Mrs Shipman’s.
"You knew Axel was no way capable of handling the company but you supported him and his dubious acts and what, huh? Olivia was like an investment you all look on to fall back to?" Leo continued.
"How shameless! You both should be grovelling for forgiveness right now, Olivia’s forgiveness! For how you have ignored her all these years, and not interceding for that sorry excuse for a son.
"I’m sorry Mr. and Mrs Shipman, but we’ll see you both in court because Axel will go to jail. Apart from Olivia, he has other crimes piled up, such as swindling, rape and money laundering and we have all the evidence against him. He simply can’t escape this one." Leo concluded and the trio left.
"Leo..." Olivia held Leo’s arm when they were about to enter the car they brought.
Never in her widest dreams did she ever think that he will defend her like that.
"I’m sorry Olivia, I didn’t mean to disrespect your parents like that. It’s just...SIGHS" Leo sighed.
"It’s upsetting, I know. But it’s not that...thank you," she told.
’I’m angry at myself too,’ he thought, but he just nodded at her.
Then they entered the car and drove off.
...
Axel really couldn’t escape going to jail, he had already had too many other cases piled up against him, waiting for the right time to explode on him.
Today was his trial day and apart from Olivia, the other people who pressed charges against Axel, came to the court.
The case was already straight forward, so after a long while of advocating by the lawyers. The judge found him guilty of his crimes and Axel was given a long duration of jail sentence.
"You think you have won after this," Axel glared at Olivia as the police escorted him in handcuffs, to the van which would be taking him to the city jail.
"The jail sentence given to you isn’t enough to make up for all the things you have done. But...I just hope you learn some life lessons from this. I hope you change your ways, I really do," Olivia responded as Axel entered into the van.
The van soon drove off.
"Are you okay Olivia?" Silvia asked.
"Yes," Olivia replied, she was glad that everyone that matters to her was here with her.
"You sure?" Cia added.
"Yes." Olivia replied.

Olivia’s parents came to the villa to see Olivia and Leo. They all sat at the study room and Mr. Shipman began;
"We came...to apologize Olivia. For everything, especially me. I wasn’t the father that you needed, and I wasn’t the good husband that your mother needed.
"I’m so sorry, my actions were what led Axel astray and I’m only realizing it now. I really do feel so ashamed of myself,"
"We are really sorry, Olivia. Please find it in your heart to forgive us...to forgive me," Olivia’s mother started to shed tears.
"It’s okay," Olivia responded, trying to hold back her tears as well.
Her parents were truly and genuinely sorry.
After some while of emotional moment between child and parents, they started discussing on another topic- The company, what now?
"Well, I was thinking we should sell it," Mr. Shipman suggested.
"No we can’t simply do that, honey," Mrs Shipman replied.
"But what do we do with it now? We are lucky it wasn’t closed down from Axel’s mistakes. It is bankrupt, useless now," Mr. Shipman responded, disheartened.
"But the company is out sweat, our handwork. We built that company over several decades. (Sighs) It’s what makes the Shipman family, the Shipmans," Mrs Shipman continued, feeling sad about it as well. Her husband was right.
"It’s okay father, mother. We won’t sell it," Olivia told.
"Then what are we going to do with it?" Philip asked his daughter.
"Give it to me," Olivia uttered.
"You want to manage the company?" Philip inquired.
"No, I no longer have interest in the company. I want to own a bookstore and I’m already learning how to manage one. I will hand the company to my husband. That’s, if he doesn’t mind?" Olivia offered, her gaze switching to Leo.
"What?" Leo responded.
"I want to hand the company affairs and management to you Leo. It won’t affect Yul enterprises in anyway because they are not specialized in the same field." Olivia paused.
"Actually, Shipman enterprises can be of great help to Yul enterprises, under your management, as it is just a shipment company. But, do you mind? The company is bankrupt and might just be a burden to you-"
"No, no I don’t mind," Leo interrupted.
Olivia smiled at him, "Thank you,"
"Okay then. Since you have already made up your minds, we shall process the documents and contract," Philip added.
...
Davian stood in front of his mother’s grave. Everyone that had accompanied him for the remembrance had already left gradually.
"I think we should go now, Davian," Silvia suggested, holding his hand.
Davian continued standing there unmoving, for the next few minutes, before he decided to go with Silvia.
It was still like a dream to him. How he lost his mother within the blink of an eye?
Silvia noticed that since the remembrance, it was as if Davian remembered the pain of losing his mother, he had been so quiet and sober these days and he usually spends a portion of the day, just drinking.
It was really breaking her heart.
"Let’s have lunch together," Silvia told him.
"I’m really not hungry," Davian responded. She had made lunch and when she went upstairs to call him to join her, she saw him in their room.
He sat on the ground, his back rested on their bed. One leg inclined and the other on a straight line as he drank his glass of whiskey, which he constantly refill from a bottle of whiskey.
"You know Davian, drinking wouldn’t really take the pain away. Trust me," Silvia informed.
"You think I don’t know that?!" he replied, his tone on the high side.
"But it does, for a few minutes at least. She was all I had, the only family I had," Davian added.
"You still have me Davian, am I not family to you?" Silvia questioned.
"Your words not mine, I didn’t mean it like that. It’s just...why are you even so indifferent about this? It’s... only natural though, I’m the one who lost a loved one.
"Everyone will give you their condolences, some not even heartfelt and they expect you to just get over it as if it’s that easy," Davian elaborated.
"I know it’s not easy and I don’t expect you to get over it that easily. She was your mother and a mother to me at some point too, you think losing her doesn’t pains me as well?" Silvia asked.
"I don’t know, you don’t act like it. You know, if it wasn’t for my mother we wouldn’t have been married, I wouldn’t have signed that contract," Davian pointed out.
"What..." tears started to form in her eyes. "What are you saying? Are you regretting signing the contract or something?" Silvia asked.
"It was all a total waste, she still died," he replied.
"You must be drunk. What are you even saying? Are you regretting marrying me? The contract was what brought us together," Silvia continued.
"Don’t put words into my mouth Silvia, stop making it sound differently from what I’m trying to imply. Would you please just stop?! Stop being so annoying to me right now!" Davian stood up.
He was able to stand and walk easily now and he will soon be ending the therapy sessions.
"I’m being annoying to you right now?! I’m just saying the truth. You don’t want to let me help you get over this, you don’t want to get over this?" Silvia mentioned.
"You think I like feeling this way?! Especially because I can’t even get justice for her death," he replied.
"So you think wallowing in your pain will bring your mother back?" Silvia questioned.
"Shut up Silvia, you don’t understand! You have never lost a loved one before, do you know how it feels?!" Davian told.
"Yes you are right, I haven’t. But get a grip of yourself. Do you think your mother will be happy to see you this way?" Silvia replied.
"I said shut up Silvia, stop mentioning her!" Davian ordered.
"No you shut up and listen to me-"
"I said SHUT UP!" he yelled and threw the bottle of whiskey across the room, shattering it.
Silvia was so shocked by what he did, she even flinched to the sound of shattering glasses. She stared up at him with teary eyes and that was when he realized what he had just done.
"Silvia... Silvia I’m-"
"Who are you?" she asked.
