Married to the loveless CEO-Chapter 75: Unwanted visitor
Silvia walked away from him to get it. It was room service done by two young lads, they brought in their dinner.
They placed it on a table and excused themselves. Davian engulfed her in a bear hug through the back as soon as they were gone;
"Ah, you’re getting me all wet Davian," she whined with a smile on her face, that reached her eyes lighting those amber jewels up.
"Hmm stay still," he replied and continued hugging her. His hands wrapped around her waist as his head fell on the nook of her neck. She held his hands on her waist, it was a comforting embrace.
"Let me help you dry your hair," she offered and he nodded in agreement.
He sat on the bed and she began drying up his hair with a towel. He loved the way her fingers moved cautiously on his hair and scalp.
He got dressed when she was done and they had dinner together which also consisted of a hot well brewed tea. After the meal, they both got on the bed.
They cuddle to sleep in each other’s arms, she snuggled more into him the more she felt his warmth, their scents comforted each other in the cold night.
The only sound that could be heard were the cracking of the woods at the fireplace as it burns and the steady rhythm of their breaths and heartbeats as they quietly and peacefully drift off to the dream world.
Both wishing that the night could just last forever.

Cia let out a sigh as she skimmed through a patient’s medical file. A knock on her office door finally made her to lift up her head for the first time since hours.
"Please come in," she could swear she didn’t have any appointments at this time.
The door opened and an unwanted visitor walked in.
Her eyes almost bulged out her glasses at the sight of Logan Preston in her office.
"Hello doctor," he smiled at her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked on alert, her fingers were already at the bottom of her table ready to push the security button on him if he tries any thing funny.
"What am I doing here? I came for a check up," he replied and started faking coughs.
"I don’t buy that," she responded.
"Believe what you want, doctor..." he trails off staring at her name which was inscribed on a glass prism placed on the table.
"Sentencia Norman," he beamed even though he already knew her name.
"Sentencia, wow... that’s a nice name. Believe it or not Sentencia, this is all a coincidence but designed by fate. Since we got to meet again, how about I get your number before we part ways," he continued.
"My number is currently unavailable and I’m currently busy so go to any of the other doctors for your check up," she turned back to her work but her fingers still remained at the bottom of her table.
’Playing hard to get I see,’ he thought.
He moved closer to her and leaned forward, his green eyes held her brown ones.
"I’m not going to give up until you finally agree to be my woman," he vowed. She felt her cheeks heat up at his words, he smiled really amused at how cute she looked blushing with those glasses.
Was his words finally swaying her?
"W-What?" she stuttered.
"Like I had said, Sentencia. I really like you and I won’t stop until you finally fall for me. Just give me a chance, three dates and if you still don’t at least grow fond of me, I’ll back off," he offered.
"Like I said, I’m not interested. I don’t date trouble makers," she informed and he scoffed.
"But you are dating Fi," he pointed out.
"What? No, we aren’t dating. We’re just friends," she responded.
"But it’s obvious he’s in love with you," he stated, her heart skipped a beat at his words.
"Well, it’s works more for me that you guys aren’t dating. That means I have a greater chance of winning you over.
"Hear this Sentencia Norman, today marks the day I’ll officially start courting you till you agree to my offer. Or better still, till you fall for me," he announced seriously.
"In your dreams, that will never happen," she sneered at him.
He laughed, "We’ll see." he ended and walked out of her office.
...
Olivia was at the Yul mansion, Mrs Yul had requested for her, she wanted to have tea with her daughter in law and even though Colleen would be there, Olivia was happy that she was finally leaving the villa for the first time since she got married to Leo.
They sat at a patio of the mansion and discuss randomly as they savoured the quality of the tea.
"So I hope you aren’t having any pains Olivia? Pain at early stages of pregnancy, I’m afraid might lead to miscarriage," Helen inquired.
"Not at all, mom. Apart from the various pregnancy symptoms, I don’t feel any pain," Olivia responded and Helen nodded.
"So it seems like you and Leo aren’t planning on going on a honeymoon, are you?" Helen asked.
"No, maybe later," Olivia answered.
"My brother is too busy for that and why would he?" Colleen’s eyes glanced up from her tea cup to Olivia.
"Why would he go on a honeymoon anyway with a woman he never wanted to marry?" she added.
There was silence.
"Anyway, what do you plan on doing with your life, Olivia? Well, apart from squandering my brother’s money-"
"Colleen!" Helen interrupted.
"What? It is the truth, I don’t know why you’re so ignorant about it," Colleen ended.
Helen returned her attention to Olivia; "But what are your plans, dear?"
Olivia thought deeply, she was really bored of staying alone at the villa, well apart from the house staffs. She needs something to keep her mind busy.
"Well, I have always wanted to own a bookstore," she finally answered and she loves reading books of all kinds.
"That’s just lovely. I believe you have a degree?" Helen added.
"Yes, B.sc in business management," Olivia responded.
"Wow that’s good. Have you managed a business before?" Helen questioned.
"No." Olivia responded, how could she when she wasn’t allowed? She was barely allowed to step out the house, she even thought what was the need to get a degree when she couldn’t even use it.
She wasn’t even allowed to work for the company no matter how many times she pleaded. But now she was free from that bondage, free to fly because nothing would hold her down anymore.
"So you haven’t managed a business before, well do you mind doing a period of apprenticeship? There’s this friend of mine, a woman, she owns a bookstore as well, that’s where I get all my books from.
"The business might seem to be easy that even a lame man can handle it. But the kind of bookstore I want for my daughter in law, it’s one where you buy and sell books worth thousands and hundreds of thousands.
"You know there are books like that, maybe it’s the last original copy in existence or the very first printed copy of the author," Helen took a pause to see Olivia nod in agreement.
"Book lovers like myself can even buy such books for up to a million. You will organize book auctions sometimes and even go to book auctions to get these kinds of invaluable masterpieces. Are you ready?" she added.
"Yes, I’m more than ready," she was happy.
"Okay. You’ll still sell cheaper books though, that means you don’t mind learning from a superior in the business for a short period of time. You really need to know all the aspects of managing these kinds of bookstores-"
"So that it wouldn’t go bankrupt like your company," Colleen who had been silent since finally spoke up as she found a way to pick on Olivia but Olivia refuse to pay her any attention.
"No, mom. I don’t mind being an apprentice, I’d even love that," Olivia responded.
She would be surrounded by different kinds of books that would keep her busy for a long time, plus she will be able to leave the villa everyday. These were the first steps in finally becoming a free woman.
She really appreciates Mrs Yul, she was so free with her. She is even more comfortable with her than her own mother.
"Okay then. I’ll inform my friend and we will pay her a visit after," Helen informed and Olivia nodded with her smile.
Colleen tsk under her breath, ’Two face socio climber,’ she wondered what sort of witchcraft she used to convince her brother to sleep with her without protection, he never does that and now she was using same thing to gain her parents favour.
After the tea, Olivia was taken home by the Yuls’ driver who also picked her up. It was already late, maybe eight in the evening. They had talked for a long time and the ride back to the villa took some more time.
She sighed as she walked into the house, she was about to walk towards the stairs when she heard that jolting familiar deep voice.
"Where are you coming from?"
It made her flinch, she turned to face Leo who was leaning on a wall staring calmly but intensely at her.
