Marvel: Symbiote Spider-Man (Moved)-Chapter 29: CH 28: Killing Amazing Universe’s Electro
Chapter 29 - CH 28: Killing Amazing Universe's Electro
"You web me to a... car...? Whoa, what's going on?" Gwen Stacy of Earth-120703 (Amazing Spider-Man movie), had her words die down before they could leave her.
Why? Because she was looking at her amazing boyfriend, Spider-Man, and another guy who... also looked like a Spider-Man. Well... at least his clothes looked like something like that, if the giant spider symbol on both his shirt and jacket said anything. He wasn't exactly wearing a spandex, so she wasn't sure.
"Uuh... who are you?" She pointed at him, while glancing in confusion at her own Peter. Peter turned to Blasphemy "Uuh, actually, I was going to ask the exact same thing. Who are you, exactly? And did you just dropkick that guy away?"
"Oh, yeah, right." Blasphemy took off his mask and stretched a hand with a polite smile "Peter Parker, Spider from another universe. It's the reason why I probably look different than you. Pleasure to meet you."
They were shocked about the name he uttered, then just recoiled at his next words. Peter's eyes widened "Dif- wait, excuse me- did you just say different universe?"
"I said another universe, but yeah, sure." He shrugged. As Gwen walked up to them, Peter pointed unsurely at him "Y-you think he's saying the truth? That he's from another universe?"
She was as shocked as him "I-I... I mean, maybe? He did just say your actual name, so I guess?"
"Y-yeah, I guess that's something. But an alternative universe? How? Why is he here? Wait, why are YOU here?!" His head whipped towards Gwen "You shouldn't be here!"
"Oh, is that so?!" Gwen glared at him "So you tie me up to go off to war? I know how to help you!"
"What are you doing here?!"
"I know the grid specs! I can reset the system!"
"You can't be here right now. I'm not messing around. You can't be here right now. This is insane."
"Okay, guess what? Nobody makes my decisions for me, alright? Nobody. This is my choice, okay?"
"Oooh..." Peter gave up tiredly, shaking his head as she pushed on "My choice. This is mine. Now, how do we stop him? Either of you got a plan?"
Blasphemy nodded "Glad that your argument's over. Anyway, here's the plan. The city's lights are completely out. Meaning all the hospitals and the airport. So not only are patients dying, I'm pretty sure two airplanes are going to crash in a few minutes.
Gwen, you said you know your way around this place. Get the power running as fast as you can. Peter, help her out and make sure she doesn't get hurt. As for that guy,"
Blasphemy turned to where Electro had been thrown. There was a vicious grin on his face as he cracked his knuckles, causing their eyes to widen as electricity surged through his body "I'll take care of him."
"You sure you'll be alright?" Spider-Man 2 hesitated.
"Yes. Yes, I'll be alright. Now go already. We're in a hurry." Blasphemy huffed, shooing them away. As they ran off towards the control room, he turned back to Electro, who had woken up and was coming at him with a swing.
(A/N: Let's get the elephant out of the room first. This fight doesn't make any sense, even in the movie. Like, this Electro in particular is quite literally pure energy. Look "Electro's body was transmuted into pure electrical energy." So the fight doesn't make sense!
Normal variants of Electro are humans who can generate and manipulate electricity, so Spider-Man beating them up makes sense. But in this case, it's like punching electricity that had taken the shape of a human! It doesn't make sense! But who cares, we're just here for the action lol. So just enjoy the fight.)
Electro was a dangerous foe, only held back by his stupidity. But nonetheless, he was powerful and dangerous. Unstoppable, even, if he could use his brain. In the few instances that he had, he had caught Magneto's attention, blitzed through the Avengers as pure lightning, soloed Thor, Invisible Woman, X-Man (Nate Grey) and had even hurt She-Hulk and the Thing.
So, honestly, it was a blessing for Spider-Man that he was an idiot. At least a blessing for this universe's Spider-Man, and every other Spider-Man. But for him, who had Electro's own powers? Oh, Max needed a blessing instead.
Because as he rushed at him like lightning, a punch square in the face sent him flying away with the same speed. He shook his head before looking at the unfamiliar teen in shock. Blasphemy smirked, holding up his electricity clad fist "What? Shocked? Huh."
He suddenly appeared in front of Electro, leaving a trail of electricity behind as he uppercutted him into the air. He didn't give him a moment to rest, immediately blitzing after him before punching him away again, and again, and again.
Once Peter and Gwen were in the control room, they couldn't help but watch in shock as the Spider-Man in black clothes punched Electro around as if playing with a ball. Max couldn't even fight back.
He did try, but whenever he shot a bolt of lightning or released a wave of electricity to get some space, Spider-Man would simply absorb his electricity back into himself to punch even harder.
"Aww, resisting?! How adorable!" He laughed out loud, a cruel smile on his handsome face "But don't bother! It's not the first time you're getting manhandled by me after all!"
Electro, in a fit of pain and rage, grabbed him by the neck before electrocuting him with all his might. Electricity poured in through his hands and mouth as he roared at his face. But it all came to a sudden stop when a blade clad in black flame impaled his stomach.
He looked down in disbelief, searing pain burning his stomach "H-how? T-this... isn't possible... It's not... logical..."
He was right, it was by no means possible. After all, unlike the normal variant of Electro, this Max was a being of pure electricity. No human form, just a being of pure electrical energy. To be harmed by bullets or swords such as the one currently going through his stomach and emerging from his back wasn't logical at all.
But unfortunately for him, Blasphemy's Devouring power devoured everything. Physically bodies, energies, and even souls. How else could he be able to devour the special cases but powerful beings of Marvel?
As the sword stabbed him, he could feel it eating away at him. He looked at Blasphemy with disbelief and horror, but was met with a vicious grin and wide open eyes but constricted pupils "Sorry, but I don't do logic."
The blade was pulled out of him, causing sparks of electricity to fly around as Electro screamed in pain before he swung the sword again and effortlessly cut off the hands holding his neck. His biomass moved to swallow the hands still holding on, causing him to lick his teeth at the delicious, zappy taste.

Max yelled louder, before he was kicked flying towards the roof of the police car Gwen had brought. The car caved in considerably as he crashed into it, leaving him groaning as he tried to get up.
But Spider-Man crashed feet first onto his stomach, making him yell loudly in pain. He heard the systems coming back online around him, but his focus was on the villain writhing under his feet.
"Game over, Electro." His features had taken a sadistic expression as he put more strength under his foot, making him groan. But his eyes widened when he aimed the greatsword at his chest, right above his heart "Hasta la vista, baby."
Peter and Gwen's eyes widened as he reeled the sword back. But neither of them intervened. Gwen looked at Peter, but when she saw him shake his head in defeat, she didn't do anything either. The next second, a road of pure pain erupted from Electro as the sword went through his chest before being completely devoured by the blade.
Blasphemy gave his sword a swirl before a sharp swing, cleaning it off of the imaginary blood. Peter and Gwen were quick to come down and check on him "You okay? Hurt anywhere?"
"Me? Hmph. Nah." He smiled "What about you guys? You alright?"
Gwen "We didn't really do much to get hurt."
"That's not true. New York is basically facing an apocalypse without electricity. God knows how many hospital patients you saved."
"Heh, glad we could be of help." Peter smiled beneath the mask. But the air went quiet, filled with awkwardness. He could see and sense their glances at his sword, before Peter finally voiced his question "Was that... really necessary?"
They stared at each other for a moment before Blasphemy sighed softly "Sometimes, the only way to save lives of many is to take the lives of few. Keep that sentence in your mind Peter, just beside Uncle Ben's words.
I told you already, New York is ruined without power. God knows how many people have already died in the hospitals because of what Electro did. Their blood is on his hands. Or was, I guess.
He had already made his choice. Who says he wouldn't do it again if he was spared today? Remember this one advice from me, Peter. From one Peter to another."
He walked up to Peter, his sword vanishing in his hand before he placed a hand on his shoulder "Sometimes, killing the villain is the only choice. Because if we don't kill that one person, tens, hundreds, heck, even thousands and millions of other people will die instead.
Take it from the guy who goes to different universes, I know what I'm talking about. So, please, promise me that you won't let some childish naivety ruin your life, just as it has to many other Spider-Men out there.
Because if you do, it's not just some random people that will suffer. You will suffer more than anyone. And whether you like it or not, your loved ones will be pulled into the storm too because of your bad choice. So, please, promise me.
I'm not asking you to murder every single criminal that you find. But to make the right choice. Not the choice that appeals to your gut feeling, to your morality and your empathy. But the choice that your reasoning tells you is the best choice. Will you promise me that?"
The pure hurt in his eyes took them aback. They couldn't even imagine what he, despite his young age, had seen to have saddened him so much. It wasn't something that could be faked. It was a genuine hurt that went all the way to his soul.
Peter hesitated. He looked at where Max's body had laid moments ago. Then he looked at the destruction that he had caused. The destroyed power grids around him, the still flickering lights in the city.
He took a deep breath before nodding solemnly "I... I promise." He wanted to say more. To comfort the soul of his hurt counterpart. To ease his worries. But he knew that more than any speeches, any long sentences and paragraphs, those two words mattered most.
The relieved, happy smile that appeared on Blasphemy's face proved him right. He nodded back "Thank, man. You have no idea how much that means to me, after all that I've seen."
After a final pat to his shoulder, he brought his hand back. Peter turned to Gwen and joked to lighten the mood "You know, I think we can still make your flight."
Gwen and Blasphemy chuckled, before the warning of the two Spider-Men's Spider-Sense and a loud, lunatic laughter and the whirring of something flying caught everybody's attention.
