"A project?" Shaan frowned when he heard Sebastian's words. "What kind of project?"

Sebastian shrugged his shoulders. "To be honest, I have no idea. I only read about it in my mother's pocketbook," said Sebastian, shaking his head. "It's just that... I lost it somewhere, and I have no idea where."

Oh damn… so this pocketbook is actually Sebastian's mother's diary. Shaan shook his head. If that's the case, I need to return it as soon as possible.'

"Sebastian, there's actually something I want to give you." Shaan slowly pulled the pocketbook out of his pocket. "I'm sure this belongs to you, and I need to return it."

Sebastian's face tensed up. His eyes widened when he saw that his mother's pocketbook was not lost after all.

"B-but how is this possible?" Sebastian looked confused. "Why do you have it?"

"About that… I actually found the pocketbook when we accidentally bumped into each other while entering the Twilight Spare Parts shop," Shaan explained. "I tried to return it to you, but you disappeared somewhere before I could."

Sebastian fell silent for a moment. "Oh my God—wait, so you were the one?" He suddenly snapped his fingers. "I'm sorry about that incident, Shaan. I had something urgent to take care of, so I rushed off," Sebastian said as he hugged the pocketbook tightly. "Thank goodness… the pocketbook is still safe. Thank you, Shaan. This means a lot to me."

Sebastian quickly opened the pocketbook and began reading every line inside it. "Mother should have mentioned the project somewhere in these notes—ah, here it is," he said as he immediately showed the contents to Shaan.

"Project Eclipse?"

"That's right." Sebastian nodded enthusiastically. "That's right." Sebastian nodded enthusiastically. "But when I tried to dig deeper into this pocketbook, I found nothing. It gives no further explanation about Project Eclipse at all."

Shaan flipped to the next page, looking to see if there was any information about the project that had been overlooked. "Right. I didn't see any other information about it either."

Sebastian put the pocketbook back in his pocket. "I'll try asking Miss Daisy. Maybe she knows something."

"Uh… about Miss Daisy." Shaan slowly scratched his head. "Could you help me meet her?"

"Meet Miss Daisy?" Sebastian stayed silent for a long moment. "For what reason?"

"Uh… there's something I want to ask her, and I'm sure Miss Daisy knows the answer."

"Hm…" Sebastian folded his arms and lowered his head slightly. "I don't know, Shaan. It's not that I don't want to help you, but Miss Daisy has been very busy lately and rarely meets strangers she doesn't know. I doubt she would want to meet you."

"B-But I've already met her," Shaan said, trying to convince him. "It's just that... when I met her, the situation wasn't quite right."

Oh… I see." Sebastian rubbed his chin. "I'll try asking Miss Daisy. Maybe she'll consider my request."

"Thank you for your help, Mr. Sebastian."

"Sebastian. Just call me Sebastian. I'm still in my twenties, and I'm not as old as you think."

"Okay, I understand, Sebastian."

Not long after that, Eline entered the house with Chelsie and Nalira. Sweat ran down the little girl's face nonstop, and part of her clothes had grown damp. Even without asking, Shaan could tell that she had grown quite tired from playing with Chelsie and Nalira. Even so, she showed no sign of exhaustion on her face and smiled brightly instead.

"Big bro, what are you talking about?" Eline sat down beside her brother, curiosity clearly written on her face. "Why does your face look tense?"

"Ah, about that." Sebas gently stroked Eline's hair. "Shaan wanted to ask me for a favor."

"Ask for help?" The little girl looked at Sebastian, furrowing her brow. "What kind of help?"

Jeez, I never expected Eline to be this chatty. Shaan shook his head. She stayed so quiet earlier.

"Shaan asked me to help him meet Miss Daisy."

"Miss Daisy?" Eline was silent for a moment. "Oh... your friend with glasses, right?"

"That's right." Sebastian smiled. "Oh, so you still remember Miss Daisy."

"Hehe, of course." Eline smiled proudly. "Big Brother Sebastian likes her, after all."

"Hah!" Sebastian's face instantly turned red as he lightly tapped Eline's head. "What are you saying? Don't talk nonsense."

"Huh, but didn't you once—"

Sebastian immediately covered his sister's mouth before she could continue. "That's enough. Go clean yourself now. You're sweaty and smell awful. Go on."

"Yes, Big Brother." Eline flashed a teasing smile and ran out of the room.

An awkward atmosphere instantly filled the room after Eline made that statement. Nalira and Chelsie could only laugh at her innocent words, while Shaan remained silent and smiled at Sebastian.

"Oops. Looks like someone just got caught," Shaan said with a hearty laugh. "Kids rarely lie, Sebastian."

"H-hey, w-wait. Don't misunderstand, all of you," Sebastian said as he let out a sigh, his face still flushed. "This isn't the kind of 'like' you're thinking about."

"Uhm... what do you mean by that?"

"I… I simply admire Miss Daisy," Sebastian replied. "At such a young age, she already leads a faction."

'Yes, I agree.' Shaan nodded his head. 'That woman is indeed very talented. Even Dr. Marshal himself admits it.'

"...Oh, I see." Nalira stroked her chin, her expression still doubtful about Sebastian's words. "Just admiration, huh... hmm."

"Good grief, why do you all sound so doubtful?" Sebastian said as he tried to convince them. "Eline talks nonsense. Trust me."

"Enough, let's stop bothering Sebastian," said Shaan, getting up from the sofa. "We have to go back now. Dr. Marshal must be looking for us."

"Uhm... Yes. I agree." Chelsie nodded her head with confidence. "We have to go back now."

"Once again, thank you for looking after my sister." Sebastian smiled and bowed his head slightly. "Without you, Eline might have been lost."

"You're welcome. I'm glad I could help." Shaan smiled, then walked toward the door. "See you, Sebastian."

***

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"

"Wait a moment," Dr. Marshal called out as he walked toward the door and slowly opened it. "Oh… It's you. Where have you been? Why did you take so long?"

"Uhm… earlier, we met a little girl who had gotten lost."

"...That's right. And we agreed to take the little girl back to her house."

"Ah... I see. " Dr. Marshal stroked his chin. "It's getting cold outside. You all come inside quickly, we'll continue our conversation inside the house."

"Okay."

The three of them entered the house, and Dr. Marshal invited them to sit in the living room. Shaan then explained everything that had happened, while Dr. Marshal listened with a serious expression.

"Fortunately, you managed to bring the little girl home safely," Dr. Marshal said. "Twilight Sanctum is vast, and she could have easily gotten lost if you hadn't found her."

"Uhmm… yes, we thought the same."

"Dr. Marshal, but something really surprised me when we met the little girl's family."

"Surprised?" Dr. Marshal frowned. "What do you mean by that, Shaan?"

"It turns out the little girl we helped is the younger sister of a member of the Science Faction. His name is Sebastian Wright," Shaan said. "You must know him, right?"

"Sebastian Wright?" Dr. Marshal fell silent for a moment while rubbing his chin. "Hmm… perhaps. That name sounds familiar in—"

"He is the secretary of Twilight Codex, Mr. Marshal." Mr. Courier suddenly appeared from behind, interrupting Sebastian Wright's conversation. "He came here once and spoke with you."

"Ah, yes, yes. I remember now." Dr. Marshal tapped his forehead lightly. "The man who always wears a black hat, right?"

"That's right, Sir. Marshal."

'W-wait, what?' Shaan's eyes widened instantly, and his expression stiffened. 'Oh my God… s-so Sebastian is actually Miss Daisy's secretary? Then why didn't he say anything about it?'
