Master Of Astral Summoner-Chapter 150: Short cut
Dr. Marshal then explained that each faction actually has its own rules and structural system, and those systems differ from one another. However, most faction leaders usually appoint one trusted member as a representative or secretary, since the responsibilities of leading a faction are too numerous to handle alone.
"I think Sebastian didn't tell you about that because he worried you might feel intimidated when meeting him," Dr. Marshal said as he slowly rubbed his chin. "That's just my guess."
".... All right, we all understand," Nalira slowly nodded her head. "In other words, courier 020 is your secretary in this faction, right?"
"You could say that indirectly," Dr. Marshal explained. "However, this rule only applies among daemonists, not homunculi."
"So... it can be said that your faction doesn't actually have a representative or secretary."
"That's right... Based on the rules agreed upon by all parties." Dr. Marshall nodded his head. "Because I am the only daemonist in this faction."
"Uhm... Then why don't you try to find other daemonists to join your faction?" asked Chelsie curiously. "Surely there are many daemonists who want to join your faction."
"I've tried before," Dr. Marshal said as he let out a long sigh and lowered his head slightly. "But… I find it difficult. It's hard for me to trust anyone again."
'Huh? W-wait… what is Dr. Marshal actually talking about?'
"Alright. I think we've talked enough for today." Dr. Marshal slowly stood up from the sofa. "Tomorrow, we'll hold the second meeting. Hopefully, we'll have a location decided by then. I'll also try to talk to Miss Daisy and pray that she's willing to help us," Dr. Marshal said. "Have a good rest."
Silence immediately filled the room. After a while, the sound of footsteps faded as Dr. Marshal and Mr. Courier gradually disappeared. To be honest, Shaan still felt curious about what had actually happened to Dr. Marshal in the past—enough to make him say something like that.
"Actually, I want to ask Dr. Marshall about that," Shaan sighed. "It's just... It's not the right time."
"Uhm... Shaan. We're both going back to our rooms to rest," Chelsie's words instantly broke the silence. "
"I agree with Chelsie," Nalira nodded without hesitation. "Tomorrow will definitely be a busy day. We need to prepare ourselves properly."
"I understand." Shaan smiled as he listened to his friends' advice. "Thank you for your concern. I really appreciate it."
"Uhm… then, good night, Shaan."
The two women walked toward their rooms, leaving Shaan alone in the living room. He then lay down on the sofa beside him, and within moments, he fell into a deep sleep.

"Attention to all daemonists present here. Please listen carefully." The officer's voice echoed through the loudspeaker, immediately drawing everyone's attention.
"To shorten the preparation time as the Lunaris Revia event draws closer, we will divide everyone into two groups: male and female."
'Two groups?' Shaan furrowed his brow. 'Dr. Marshal never mentioned this before. What exactly is the purpose of dividing us into groups?'
"The female group will stay here to decorate the Twilight Sanctum city square, while the male group will go to retrieve decoration supplies from the storage warehouse and bring them back to the square," the officer explained. "Do you have any questions?"
"…."
"If not, it's time to move," said the officer, gesturing to the side. "Men's group, follow the red-haired officer. He will take you to the storage warehouse."
"Everyone. Follow me."
"We understand," all the men replied in unison.
Together with the other male daemonists, Shaan began walking behind the red-haired officer at the front of the line. After a long walk, they finally arrived at the storage warehouse, which stood surprisingly far from the city square.
'Oh God… this—this can't be right.'
Shaan instantly scratched his head when he saw that there were far more boxes than he had imagined. The amount far exceeded his expectations. At first, Shaan himself thought that they would only be transporting 10-20 boxes. However, the number turned out to be far greater than that.
"All these boxes contain various items needed for the preparation of the Lunaris Revia event," explained the officer. "Your job is to take these boxes to the town square as quickly as possible."
"Wait, what?!" one of the daemonists near Shaan complained angrily. "With this many boxes, there's no way we can carry them all." 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
After the man spoke, chaos began to spread. Almost all the daemonists—including Shaan himself—started to complain about the task, because carrying hundreds of boxes in such a short time felt impossible.
"Everyone, be quiet!" the officer shouted, instantly silencing the crowd. "I did order you to move all these boxes, but you won't carry them by hand."
Not long after, the warehouse door behind the officer slowly opened. Everyone was stunned to see a row of iron carts neatly arranged inside.
"You will all use these carts to carry all these boxes. This will make it easier for you and speed up the delivery process to the town square," said the officer in a firm tone. "Now, get moving and don't make excuses!"
"Alright!" everyone shouted in unison.
Without wasting any time, everyone moved and immediately began loading the boxes onto the available handcarts one by one. Shaan quickly grabbed several boxes closest to him and placed them into the handcart he had chosen earlier.
"Good, everything looks ready," Shaan said as he placed the last box onto his cart. "This should be enough. Now I need to get to the city square as fast as possible."
With all his strength, Shaan pushed the cart and walked down the street towards the town square. However, the long distance and the long line of handcarts made the journey feel even more exhausting.
'Argh, this is wasting my time,' Shaan grumbled irritably. 'I have to find another way. There must be a shortcut or something so I can get to the town square faster,' said Shaan, looking around. 'But where can I find ...'
His eyes suddenly landed on a narrow path not far from where he stood. The path looked quite steep and consisted of several steps. However, upon closer inspection, it led in the same direction as the city square. It's risky, but faster.
'Hmm… I think I can consider that way.'
