This was a smart monster that wanted to do the best for its young. If acting like a deterrent and taking bits of lost mana would do that, then so be it. Therefore, letting another being benefit for the future was well worth it.

The bonus was that this whip flame scorpion would also help protect to a degree as well. Not many monsters would want to fight both of them unless they were immensely more powerful and resistant to the dangerous venomous flames that the scorpion possessed.

"The nature here is just as unique as the world. We are just seeing a different side of it. That monster could fight and cause a lot of damage, but it knows it’s better for it to act peacefully and take advantage. It’s strange and beautiful in its own right."
