It was a quick all around appraisal on the one piece of metal scrap that Walker picked up first.

' Mana saturated metal

This metal was a piece of iron alloy that was high in wind elemental mana and was able to transfer that wind mana to the wind elemental mana runes after being deflected. Due to an imbalance in the mana and a breakdown of the ruen formation, the mana was constantly transferred in to this piece of metal.

This caused the metal to break apart and the ambient earth mana within the alloy to be forced out. Now it has a high amount of wind mana within it that causes it to naturally attract wind mana while also bleeding out wind mana that is abrasive to other metals and runes nearby.

The best method of disposal is to heat it beyond melting and cause it to lose the majority of properties which make it usable.

The best method of recycling this would be to use it in an environment that naturally leeches out wind mana. This would allow for plants, ores, and even small monsters that require wind mana to grow better.

The wind mana can also be extracted causing the metal alloy to break apart more in to small pieces of partially fused metals. After such it can be reforged to make lower quality items…'

"The issue is that if it is reforged it is more resistant and the blacksmiths say that it will be a wasted metal. That it just becomes waste that needs to be processed in to different items or even ignored as a whole." The apprentice even shared another piece of paper with a clear report from a blacksmith stating that from their knowledge and skill they would not be able to use the metal to be used in the resistance training.

"Even the all around appraisal says that there are options for me to use this metal to help plants grow, or by heating it, or even by using magic to change it. But right now, it is attracting small amounts of wind mana and it is radiating the absorbed mana within which causes it to be unusable."

This was all what they knew and what Walker knew for sure, but he smiled a little and decided he had a better usage for it. "The manas inside these metals are abrasive and will not fade away for a long time or at least until they have naturally done so. Why not use them in a special room for training? Make a resting area with scrap metals placed on the walls for the same elemental affinity people are trying to resist."

The smile was a little blogger now on Walker's face, "When those training in resistance to that mana sleep, they will be training their resistance, when they sit down to eat, training, and when they are just taking a break they will be training. Some of the best training happens when someone is not even meaning to train."

This was just his suggestion since it appeared there would be a larger amount of these broken scrap materials full of mana that could not be used for other things straight away. The processes to make them viable for other crafting projects was a little tedious or generally would just take up time. Therefore, using them in this way would be more ideal since every now and then mages could test the materials and blacksmiths could take them once the manas within faded.

"That's perfect! Thank you, my teachers will be able to plan with that in mind. There is a lot of scrap material due to the experiments done with runes and with other forms of crafting from the crafting guild." The apprentice left Walker alone in his excitement but that was fine.

"I guess there will always be a lot of wasted materials because of experimentation. I wonder if more can be reused?" Walker wondered out loud as he saw Onyx had seemingly been contemplating this as well.

"Sister Remey says the alchemy guild can reuse all the failed herbs as compost and all the failed potions in weaker potions or even in other types of medicines." The relation to the alchemy guild made it a little different.

"It's the integrity of the materials that the crafting guild focuses on, if they had poor materials then they will have poor items and for a forge master that is insulting, but for an alchemist, it is a test of their skill to make even the worst ingredients in to something useful." The mentalities were slightly different but they worked. Onyx nodded along with what Walker said since he could easily understand it.

"What about you, you should have been looking to train more resistances too right?" This was something that Walker expected Onyx to want to focus on since Midnight was much more resistant and Onyx might feel the need to catch up.

"I have been Brother! When I am moving through the different territories with you to check on progress I am able to see and feel the manas around. Just being here I have opened myself to being impacted by many manas. I am letting them move along my body and influence my scales to temper them."

It was an interesting method. Onyx was not naturally using his manas and his instincts to resist the manas around him. Upon looking closer at the flows of mana, Walker could see the ambient manas gathered from testing runes and rune formations moving around Onyx as well.

Each mana was trying to balance to drift a certain way. Onyx allowed them to impact his scales and run along them without the normal light and dark mana that he would use to defend himself.

Just as Walker had suggested, this was a way of constant training. Letting down his defenses had allowed Onyx to be able to greatly protect himself on another level. Was it a simple way to train, yes, but it would be uncomfortable for those reliant on their natural defenses or the defensive skills they had trained to always be active.

"I see, that's a good way to do it, I know the dragons might want to start training in the same way since they use their mana to move through their scales at all times. A few races do similar things. The vampires naturally move mana through their bodies and the angels have the mana that flows through their wings go to their skin too. If they both release their defenses and focus internally they might break through their ideas of internal mana while also strengthening their entire mana defenses."

Making suggestions to others was normally the best when it came to how an entire race could train since Walker was not that race. However, if he made suggestions even if he was wrong the leaders would look in to things.

"Do you think we can make jewelry out of those scraps too?" Now Walker just had to smile.

"Onyx, you are exactly right. If we take the smaller purges and tie them into necklaces or braces then the mana would continuously forge people's resistances." Having a necklace so close to you that she mana so abrasive to the body would be an ideal way to get passive training in.

"We can even use that method to try and enhance resistances for manas that people are very weak to. Like the inner flame race who can't leave the fire territory because water mana is too dangerous to them, most manas but water is the focus here."

Just starting this would be able to help the inner flame race to acclimate faster to the world. It would also allow children who were growing rapidly to be able to adapt faster so that later in their lives they were more prepared to live in the world.

Forget generations, the very next generation of the inner flame race could be freer to travel the world than anyone expected. There would be some discomfort at first but if they took things seriously… well, there would be a chance to have this race and others unite more closely sooner.

End of the day, it was another good idea that Walker would not have heard from anyone if he was not taking the time to focus on Genesis right now. Just the usage for the newest races within the alliance was huge, add on the overall general uses for guards, soldiers, and adventurers made this idea perfect.

"I think we can start making more rounds to see how the other territories are progressing. I heard that the lake where the water elves are has recently built a new garden. It has some rather rare plants." This was a rumor Walker had heard a few days ago but he and Onyx could actually go looking in to now. It might just be more interesting that what he expected.
