Master Of None-Chapter 2826. Time or the Meaning of...

"Well, I got the reward, I have a tugging feeling telling me where the ruins are for the time mage tower. I have a feeling it won't be so much about time mana manipulation and more about potential and maybe even some sort of intuition?"

The others looked at Walker with some curiosity. He had explained his thoughts and ideas about time magic and mana as a whole before. Some of the things she had mentioned in terms of how time magic worked with other manas and how it was a foundational mana like space were tougher to manipulate in any way because of that.

He had even mentioned how space mana was manipulated by changing the ways it interacted with other manas more easily but that didn't mean it was able to be altered or changed in the same ways. But in terms of time mana, it was impossible to try and manipulate like that since it was also attached to life and death mana in different ways than space mana was.

All of that has left them with the feeling that time magic was something entirely out of the realm of potential manipulation for most people. Walker, sure he would learn something. But anyone else? They would be at a loss if they even tried.

"I mean that if someone wanted to glimpse at the future paths someone could take, they might be able to see visions like a seer. Or they might be able to use it as a way to predict how someone in front of them will attack them. Like dodging punches or using the right counter spell in a magic battle."

Now everyone seemed to understand what Walker was thinking about.

They didn't have the hope that they would be able to skip through time or see an undead mage altering the literal past while they explored those ruins. It would more so be that they might encounter traps related to assumed dodges and actions of those who explored the ruins. Something that also sounded very dangerous too, but more manageable.

"I can get behind that, I want to see if you can make more of that internal space you were telling me about. An entire herb garden with you? I want to see if I can go inside some place like that." Remey had her own preferences but knew that Walker would be looking at altering space mana in his own way.

She also knew that he succeeded with his multi dimensional storage skill more than he had admitted since she had seen him storing more elementally specified materials and herbs. Meaning that he had somehow increased the storage ability to be focused on those specific manas without causing any negative side effects.

Not that he didn't have the massive storage ability of general items he still used. But that was just a simple small part of his skill at this point. Just being able to focus on storage in these ways was something that would have made him stand well outside of the norm without any of the skills and abilities he has now.

"I have made some progress. I said that the remnant space from that whole set item settled in to my multi dimensional storage. I think that I am advancing it without consciously thinking about it too, I am a little worried…" seeing his worried expression, Alice squeezed his arm to reassure him.

They all knew that Walker had somewhat lost his focus on all his abilities. He was so varied in skills and strengths that it would only make sense. Even with a split mind skill and perfect memory, Walker had to consider much more than most people when fighting or just traveling. Hence why they were so used to his moments of deep thought or casual wandering while he thought.

"I think you might be too worried about that. You said that stronger origin race members carry literal elemental planes back from the chaotic outer space all around the elemental planes. Some might store those spaces away with spatial magic, so why would the multi dimensional storage you have stay the same? It has to grow with you because it's part of your race's natural abilities in a way."

Well, now everyone was entirely shocked. Gil had the perfect logic that beat any thought about why there might be changes in the skill without Walker knowing. "I would even place a bet that the space you gained after that super advanced arcane storage set broke wasn't because of the items entirely. I would bet that you being you helped it appear as part of your skill because you learned how to do it subconsciously."

They were all still looking at Gil entirely surprised. "What? It's the same as how I learned to do this." he pulled out an arrow and fired it in to the air. They didn't see a target or hear a target, but the sudden screech before a distant thump came to their ears made them register that he had seen a target and shot it with his bow.

"That was a small leamer like monster that has been stalking us for the last few minutes. I can't see it but I sense it, like the trees around me were being marked by its presence. I think it's a skill called high elf's awareness, rare and barely mentioned in books but I sort of just caught on to it."

Now they understood. Gil had been studying the books about the high elves and what the elven race remembered about them. While it was not a major find, it was for Gil who was the only one that most likely had the innate skill right now. It would be invaluable to him and the other elves when he began teaching them about it.

"I feel better about the spatial skills now then, maybe you are right and the fact that I wish to one day have a storage where I can safely store people in dangerous situations only helps push the skill to advance while I grow. Especially since I have been grasping bits of time mana and seeing the potential of someone or something a bit lately. It's all instinctual and gut feelings, but it's enough to add to what skills I should have naturally."

While he had not always been one of the Origin race, Walker has gained that through his growth and changed himself from a human. He was basically going through adolescence or a growth spurt in terms of what an origin race member would be. So this made him feel a lot better about his knowledge and learning about himself and skills related to him.

"Now we go to the ruins?" A push from Midnight made everyone laugh since she clearly was excited to move ahead.

As they started to travel, they spoke about the fairy dragons more. Understanding that they were deeply attached to the flow of the world and had been rescued by ancient mages was just the start. It might have been the world trying to preserve whatever it could as the connection to the elemental planes had been broken.

It would make a lot of sense that the will of the world, broken as it was, had used whatever it could to ensure that the most intricate and delicate aspects of the balance and flow of itself were maintained. Hence why the elemental spirits in dormant states and even trapped in items by foolish races were somewhat a good thing.

Those elemental spirits hadn't faded or been lost because of the elemental panes being disconnected to the world. Instead, they had been preserved somewhat accidentally. But maybe it wasn't all an accident and had just been a small part of what was done to preserve them in the world's actions.

The will of the world and existence were something everyone stopped trying to understand though. They knew that classes for gods existed since someone who embodied aspects of something to the purest form could exist. That was why and how they existed and what happened overall. They had even met some and they were sure of that.

meaning that wills or something of the sort could exist easily. That also played in to the elemental kings within each elemental plane. They were literal embodiments of the mana there and how it maintained balance with others after and during an elemental war.

So the world or the very existence itself of all things having a will form? Yes, that seemed very easy to understand as something possible, but understanding those things and giving reason to the why and how? Well, not something anyone could understand really. That would go beyond just the talk of time mana and seeing potential. It would be beyond even the idea of will in the first place.
