No one wished to bother Walker. Not because they were afraid of him or because he had explained that he needed to be left alone while he tried to spread his mana senses across large distances.

Simply put, they were worried about the mana they could see condensing around him.

While Walker had grown significantly and he was still starting to gather more about that, he also had to open his eyes when he meditated. He was causing manas to condense and be much more visually seen by those who would normally not notice mana unless it was denser.

Walker also made a show of doing so with much purer manas since he was clearly stronger than other people. He just had no idea that he made the mana in the area around him so visible that it caused some issues.

These strands of condensed and purer manas were actually like tendrils. They were connections to Walker as he reached out to sense the flow of mana to track down even more.

While some sensory mages had managed to accomplish similar things, they would not create a phenomenon like this where the manas they reached out to would seemingly willingly condense to make it easier to sense and track manas over greater distances.

Then again, it wasn’t just any naturally formed rune that Walker was trying to search out. He was trying to push his ability to sense manas further and further so that he would be able to find a specific kind of naturally formed rune. One that would inspire and assist in the creation of a properly made floating island.

Right now, the lack of control was not a bad thing. It was possible to use several rune formations to control the floating, movement, protection, and even more about the original rune formation that the rune artisan had used. All that work to trace the original formation was majorly important.

Yet, if they focused on this way of adding more formations, they would end up with layers again. The same mistake that caused everything to be so hard to repair and add on to that the angels now faced. The very reason that so many of their cities had fallen back to the ground over time leaving them unable to travel as they wished. Even the weapons they used had been repaired but using them would put so much strain on the floating cities remaining that they would fall immediately.

That was the best case scenario though. Worst case, the city would fall in an explosion of manas.

Many naturally formed runes had appeared since the start of Genesis attempting to bring them back. The shift in the world brought out runes that had formed naturally in many wilderness areas along with some appearing in gardens or unique places like deep mines. Even a few of the naturally formed runes had been spotted along trade routes when a certain merchant looked up and saw the clouds moving in stranger ways than normal.

Mapping all of them was still underway and Walker was not going to force that to happen. He was instead going to focus on the fact that he could find specific runes.

The maanas needed to mix and form gravity had started with earth, the denser and more focused the better. But, this was not the only form that the rune needed to take since the formation was the control of gravity and the release of it.

Meaning that the rune seen so many years ago had to be more unique. Not purely gravity but a more unique mana that utilized a mix that Walker could somewhat sense from the experiments across Genesis.

The flying ships were made to float using wind mana, gravity magic, and other forms brought about by crafting and rune formations. Not to mention some magic used as the base at one point.

While these designs kept changing to improve with the next floating ships being built, they were not even close to the goals that some wished to achieve, meaning that experimentation of similar rune formations were happening in multiple places.

That was why Walker could use his ability to sense manas in the first place to understand the slightest differences from those experiments and the ways that the original floating angel cities felt.

The compounded feeling found that lightning mana was mixed with gravity, something unexpected. A situation he didn’t think would or could happen. Yet, in the assistance he sensed that, he understood that just as the world was always mixing and breaking down manas in a natural cycle, he should consider when the rarer forms of mixed manas met. Or when they met the denser and unique singular aspects of one of the manas.

"I am going to bring you along with me. Keep your eyes closed until I say to open them. You will struggle with the teleportation skill I am going to use seven or eight times to get where you need to be." Walker had moved quickly, ending his meditation and mana sensing.

It surprised a few of those working and testing or preparing for future tests. The rune artisan also started to grumble about kids trying to force their ways and how there wasn’t any respect, but Walker had already started to move using spatial mana.

The change in scenery was enough to make anyone unsettled, trees changing to clearings, becoming mountains would do that to someone. Regardless of the dizzy feeling, the older man froze when he realized he was looking at something complicated and breathtaking.

"I thought that we were going to be seeing a gravity rune naturally formed somewhere with a lot of earth mana. I was missing things though. I hadn’t considered that there could have been a lightning storm in an area creating changes to even the heart mana that would have resisted the lightning strikes."

He looked around more carefully seeing the charred earth. "I also didn’t consider that certain ore veins would attract lightning strikes and that when a naturally formed rune occurred in that area the unique rune would be one that embodied the earth and the mixed manas that make lightning. It’s making something I think we already sort of know about but not many people can utilize due to having a unique form as a whole."

This rune is a very rare occurrence that formed during the formation of an earth elemental rune. However, the ores in this rocky terrain attracted the lightning causing the rune to absorb that mana as well and alter all the metal within this area. The magnetized ores are able to attract to one another countering gravitational force as a whole.

Therefore, this rune is formed with that principle in mind. Not only can it be utilized to increase the growth of unique metals and traits within metals, it can also be utilized to transfer lightning or to affect metals otherwise.

Walker began to share a little of the rune’s appraisal. It had formed naturally and there was a lot of evidence of that. However, the rune artisan was wide eyed and seemingly too stunned to speak. He was witnessing a sight unseen since ancient times when the first angels were being inspired to create their floating cities.

"This is how they did it. Every strand of this rune they tried to copy from memory. It could have been years that they studied this. Or they could have seen it for a second and lost the chance. But they did it. Kid, you did this."

"I spread out my senses and let myself find what felt to be matching the cities that the angels already used. It was lucky it was so close since I spread my mana out for a while there." Walker joked a bit but was also studying the naturally formed rune. He didn’t miss the bits of iron ore that floated about the ground and bumped in to other rocks getting stuck or repelling from them.

"You were sitting like that for eight hours, kid. You didn’t just sense this or that, you were causing a show for everyone to worry about with all that elemental mana condensed in to dangerous things." This gave Walker a slight pause but he registered that he had caused some trouble. He could make up for that later though.

"So, will this work for rebuilding their layered rune formation in to something good? I can’t say we can stay here because we are pretty far in the wilderness, but seeing it should be enough for you?" Walker didn’t tell the older man that there were monsters nearby who seemed to enjoy this area, Walker could study that later.

"I want to bring this there and make a copy, but my mind is sharp enough to do close to that." The wild grin was that of a man seeing more potential to use than he had ever seen before.
