Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 297: In Which Love Had Beautiful Memories [1]
[RANIA]
Whoever said beauty was in the eye of the beholder had clearly never met the two women who were standing at the entrance of the pack house. They looked unreal in their long gowns that matched in every sense, save for the colors that had been mixed up.
They were both in black and silver gowns, both that had a touch of gold and had a satin top. Rania was wearing the black and gold gown, while Dalrae was wearing the gold and silver gown.
They both had their hair in long curls and were pretty much looking like siblings. They were perfect.
Of course, Dalrae had tried to change her gown earlier, but Rania had insisted that this wasn’t just the night of Rania’s birthday, but this was also the night they would celebrate being sisters and best friends for more than twenty-four years.
This was their night and they were determined to own it.
"Are we that good-looking?" Dalrae fake-whispered as she looked at the warriors and everyone else who had stopped to look at them.
It was like they were the center of attraction, which was true because today they looked so beautiful and unrealistic. It was almost impossible to tell them apart but then this was happening and they were here.
Today, they would make the ebay of the night.
"I think they are looking at you. If I didn’t have Kaia for a mate, I would have taken you from Chang Wook," Rania teased and Dalrae looked at her sister as if the woman was blind.
All the attention may have been on them, but it wasn’t hard to tell who had the hearts of many.
Even at her own ball, Kim Rania was oblivious to the truth that was staring at her like a long rose that had withstood all the challenges to make it to this very point.
"Have you met you? The feminine you?" Dalrae teased and Rania just shrugged, before they walked down the stairs, their hands entwining with each other, to prove that even to this day, they were never going to let each other go.
They weren’t going to be the ones who let the other go. They were in this together and would always be each other’s shield if ever the world was against them.
They were the sisters for a lifetime for a reason and they loved each other more than life couldn’t have thought possible, especially given the lifelines they both had But that didn’t matter to them.
The only thing that mattered was the fact that they were together and wouldn’t leave each other’s side.
As the two walked down and towards the ceremonial setting, their mates were staring with their jaws on the floor.
Chang Wook looked like this was some alternate reality that didn’t make any sense and yet it was a reality that he didn’t want to leave. It was a reality where he was seeing his sister be free for the first time in so long.
It was one in which he could see the smile on his sister’s face and it was a genuine smile. He loved his sister so much he wouldn’t ever be able to hold back if someone tried to cause her so much pain.
Rania looked so gorgeous, she was like a gem to the eye and everyone finally could see what they hadn’t seen in a long time.
They could see a girl who was just like their children, a kid who deserved to be happy, and at the same time, they could see an alpha who had grown into a powerful and beautiful woman.
She was their defense and her beauty was everything.
Chang Wook then looked at his mate, the woman who made his heart beat a hundred heartbeats in one minute and he felt himself flat.
There wasn’t a day that he had ever imagined this possible, and yet right now, he was seeing that day. He was experiencing that day. He could see the smile on Dalrae’s face even as she looked at Rania.
They seemed to be in their own world away from the wolf of people who were visibly mesmerized by the beauty the two had. It took everything in Chang Wook not to rush to his sister and mate and shower them with kisses.
Goddess, if his heart continued ramming into his chest like it was right now, there was a chance that Lim Dalrae would probably end up mateless. And that was something that Chang Wook couldn’t do.
"Moya krushka," was the first set of words that Kaisei had managed out from the moment he had seen his beloved walk side by side with Dalrae. He didn’t have words to describe what he was feeling and the pride that was in him.
He felt like this was what the world deserved to see, his woman, his perfection. Sure, she was the alpha and whatnot, but right now, Kaia felt like a proud alpha male who was ready to shout to the world that the woman in the long black gown was his woman.
She belonged to him. She was his lifeline and he didn’t even want to hope that he was hers, because, to him, she always deserved better, someone who would be kinder to her, someone who cared enough for her.
She would always be the best thing that happened to him, and Kaia couldn’t help but be thankful that he had accepted her offer to come to Incayon, because damn, this was a sight he would never ever forget.
This was his woman, his and his alone and heavens be damned, he would make the world bend so low if they so much as tried to see his beloved in pain.
"Well, is he frozen?" Rania asked when she noticed that Kaia was just standing there, staring into her beautiful black eyes like he was determined to get lost in them.
He looked like he could watch Rania for years and years and never get bored of that. He wanted to make her a lot of promises and wanted to make sure that she lived her happiest and this time, there were no maybes.
This time, he would make sure that his mate was happy, and if he had to go to hell and make sure that happened, then Kaisei Seto would do it.
"You both look so stunning you got our jaws on the floor for a moment there," Paloma admitted and Rania just let out a low chuckle of amusement.
Dalrae on the other hand, seemed to have locked eyes with her mate and was probably thinking of all the possible things that could happen between them.
"No one is fucking anyone right now. You two, snap out of it," Han said as he came in between Chang Wook and Dalrae, both of whom looked like they had really been caught. But even if they had this wasn’t a crime right?
They were just two mates in love, two mates who wanted the best for each the and two mates who may not have been able to make their worlds a reality or fact, but they would eventually make it real.
Love and life were something they had always banked on and no matter what happened, they would always make sure that life was better for all of them at some point in time, right?
"Kai?" Rania tried and Kaia let out a sigh of relief.
"You’re real."
