Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 316: The Long Revolution
[OBREN]
"Oh, how beautiful your hope is. But I’ll just tell you what you will find there. Nothing and no one. The palace doesn’t even exist anymore. Kaia burnt it down yesterday with magical fire and made sure that everything including the tunnels was blown to bits.
"The only thing you will find here is absolutely nothing, not even a trace of what home once was. As I mentioned earlier, the royals were kidnapped by Kaia and taken to Rania in Incayon.
"You won’t find anything," Ilsun said as if to remind the two brothers that there was a thug worth hoping for anymore. There was just no reason for them to be hopeful, because hope was toxic and there was nothing for them to even go on over there.
It was all chaotic and hopeless.
"Are you guys just going to let one woman bring down the hope we worked so hard to build? What of the warriors who are still on classified missions? What of those who are deeply embedded in other realms, and are waiting for the king to come for them?
"What if they were your family members, would you just give up and let the king, the only person who can defend our friends and family, be left to die in the hands of a woman who went psycho?" Nate asked angrily, though he wasn’t mad at Rania or even at the visitation.
He was mad that he was never going to be able to get to Yanangida, and he was mad that the brother had reunited and that had taken away his leverage.
He was and that the impossible had happened and now all he had to do was wait for the perfect time, but then his daughter was dead and there was no perfect time. What the fuck was he even supposed to do about the situation at hand?
It wasn’t like he knew much of how Obren operated, and then he couldn’t even go to Paloma for help because she had declined his help and yet was on Rania’s side. Oh, but Nate felt like screaming his lungs out in agony.
He was desperate and angry.
He was mad at the wolf and everything that had gotten him to that point. Maybe if he hadn’t been a stubborn mule, he would have been able to save his child, but how could he when he didn’t even know he had a child?
"Well, we may be trained, but going against the Seto twins is just a death sentence for many. They ruined calindra, I’m sure you already saw that mess. There is no home to defend.
"But if it helps, there is a team of insane people who started a revolution and have been preparing to go and are rallying for incayon. They are determined to get the rolls back. It’s crazy.
"However, they believe that with the king alive, and functioning, everything will be back to normal. I just hope they don’t get mauled to death by Kaia’s immortal hybrids," Ilsun shrugged and the brother just stared in silence.
Well, that was some hope, however little that was, it was something to go by and they couldn’t deny how relaxing this had been. Hearing that someone put there was willing to stand up to Rania had to mean something.
Of course, it was more than once obvious that Rania wasn’t just going to hand over the king just because the revolution had begun, but it was the effort that mattered.
"Where are they? My friend and I will go join them," Nate said and Ilsun signed defeatedly.
He however understood the brothers.
They had come home as warriors and were not going to sit by until they got back their commander-in-chief. That was what any sane warrior would do.
Well, that was good for them though, because Ilsun and his friend were not going to go to battle with the father of all devils. There was just no way they would lose their lives to try and protect the king who would live a healthy life when they were dead.
"Luna Park of Calindra is leading the revolution. You can join them and the other elite warriors from other packs. She also has the lead female warriors from Calindra.
"All the men in Calindra were murdered by the immortal army and well the women and children were left alive. They are west of here and could really use your skills seeing as you are well-built men and could join the fight," Ilsun said earnestly.
He knew that this wasn’t what anyone had wished for, but this was the Obren they were living in at the moment. They could try and deny their misfortune, but there was only so much that they could get out of this.
Hopefully, when all was done and dusted, they would be able to call Obren home once again. But until then they had to go to safety.
"Thank you," Nate said and Ilsun just nodded.
"Be careful though, they might kill you guys if they suspect you of colluding with Kim Rania. That woman is a sore spot for everyone in the realm right now," Ilsun added before they bid each other goodbye and went their separate ways.
"So it turns out the Luna wasn’t lying and now she had an army to go to Incheon With? Damn, that woman would run the kingdom if she wants it," Bai said and Nate just sighed.
He knew that Luna Park had taken up arms because she wanted to protect whatever was left of her people.
She wanted to make sure that her children and her warriors were safe.
She wanted a home for her people and as long as Kim Rania lived and breathed, there was never going to be any peace, much less a home for them to go back to. Kim Rania had taken their home and she had claimed it would be available for the markets.
Sure, they hadn’t done anything yet, but Kim Rania was certainly not going to rest until she turned Calindra into a market as a lesson to anyone who tried to oppose her. She was a dangerous woman but thankfully the realm was aware of that at the moment.
"Well, at least we know Rania is going to be a hard one to take out. We will make sure she goes down, no matter what army she has with her, besides everyone always has a weakness, and once we find hers—
"—We will be able to make her bend the knee and we will get revenge for my little girl," King Nathaniel said and Bai Ting just nodded at his brother.
Of course, he knew that his brother was angry and was thinking with his emotions, but then he also knew that this was easily the most dangerous mission in the history of all their missions.
Kim Rania wasn’t going to be an easy target, that much they were aware of. But a king could hope, right? After all, Kim Rania was just a normal alpha wolf who thought the world was hers to conquer, right?
"It won’t be easy, but we will have to do it," Bai Ting said to his brother before they continued west, in the hope of getting to the revolution and offering their skills and their mary if that was a demand.
King Nathaniel would do anything for his little girl.
Oh but if only he knew she was the devil that needed to be taken out.
"We’re here," Bai said to his brother when they made it to the revolution camp an hour later.
