Chapter 324: Over A Cliff, Alpha

[RANIA]

The rumors about the revolution had spread, and everyone in Incayon was aware of it. They were, however, not fazed by the risks that were headed their way, because the Incayon warriors had been battle-ready from the very beginning.

They were all aware they had fucked up and in the past three months, as they got to know Kim Rania without the cruel memories they had forced themselves to have of her, they knew she was one wolf that was worth fighting for.

She was worth the chaos and they would do right by her.

They would follow her to war, and would do whatever it took to make sure that she got her vengeance. Incayon was voluntarily rallying alongside Kim Rania and that was something that made Rania feel loved.

Of course, there had been days when she was skeptical and that she thought they would just wake up and decide she just wasn’t worth the effort, but then that time had never come.

Instead, they reassured her their own way, training using her techniques, as if to tell her that they believed in her and the battle they were being thrust into.

"The women and children?" Rania asked Kylian and Darrell who had been in charge of the migration of the wolves.

She knew that she would save her people, especially now that she was mated to Kaia. But she wanted to make sure that the women and children who hadn’t subscribed to the war didn’t get dragged in.

She didn’t want to watch families break up because of her. That wasn’t her dream for Incayon and she wasn’t about to start making speculations today.

"They are safe in the western houses and caves. They have enough food to last them a year, if that is how long the war will take.

"They are safe, and will be okay regardless of what happens out here," Kylian said with conviction, and for a moment, Rania wondered if she would truly win this.

She knew the army that was headed her way was bigger than what she had, but then she had the power too. She just wondered whether the morale of her team would go down.

"Okay thank you. Everyone is in position, right?" Rania asked as she looked at Chang Wook who had been in charge of making sure that the warriors were well positioned.

Of course, the women and children were protected by magic, and one that wouldn’t wear out.

If ever shit happened on this side of their world, the women and the children would be able to start Incayon from the ground up and build a home that was worth it and a home that was better.

Rania was smart enough to know that there would be casualties, but she hoped that everything would be alright in the end, at least for her team anyway.

"Yes. Everything’s as we have gone over and over, Rani," Chang Wook said reassuringly, as he held Dalrae’s hands in his.

They may have been in a time of war, and where love was going to be a hassle, but they knew what they were fighting for and were ready to make sure that everything would be alright.

"I just don’t want to send warriors to their deaths. I know the Revolution has approximately ten thousand wolves, and Incayon has a little over a thousand. It’s not exactly encouraging," Rania admitted and Kaia pulled her toward him.

He knew that she was scared of this going wrong and everything turning out the wrong way. He had listened to her in the night, when she thought he was sleeping. He had heard her ask him if she really was doing the right thing dragging Incayon to war with her.

He had heard her wonder if it would be fine if she went to war alone, and not drag Incayon in the middle of it. It wasn’t exactly pleasing but that was simply Rania being herself. She was worrying for everyone except herself, and Kaia had noticed that too.

Maybe that was also why he had promised to protect her and be there for her through and through. She may have been the one shouldering everyone’s pain, but Kaia would be the shoulder she would always lean on if ever she was tired.

"You are a Lycan now, baby. You are also a direct descendant of the moon goddess. Don’t worry, alright. We are here, and we are not going to let you fight this alone. I know you’re worried, but let Haru, Chang Wook and I do that.

’We will handle everything that needs to be handled, all the heavy work. We also have Paloma, Odelia, and Dalrae. We will win this, so don’t stress. You’re not going to be fighting alone.

"They may be ten thousand, or a hundred thousand, but the seven of us can bring them down easily without having to even put in a lot of effort. If you didn’t want the fight to be fair, I could have easily burnt their battalions to ashes.

"Out there,if you’re scared, you can look at any of us and you will know we won’t leave your side, ever," Kaia reassured and Dalrae just stared warmly.

She was still coming to terms with the fact that beyond all that tough demeanor and psychotic attitude, Kaia Seto was a softie for her sister. He would give her the world if she wanted to and that was the one thing that Dalrae had sighed for her sister.

She loved Rania so much and seeing Kaia adore her sister, and love her like Rania deserved to be loved, made Dalrae feel at ease.

At least the goddess finally answered her prayers, even though she had sure taken her sweet time.

"I trust you, all of you. I was just worried that this may be too much for you or even the Incayon warriors. They have never fought a war this huge, and might get discouraged," Rania admitted, her sincerity warming their hearts over again.

Even in war she was worried for her warriors. She was a sweet soul that didn’t deserve all that she had gone through and they would protect her, no matter what it took.

"We are honored to fight beside you, alpha. There Is no one we trust more than we do you. We know you won’t let us down, and that’s why we will follow you to the pits of hell if we have to.

"Over a cliff, alpha," Kylian said reassuringly and Rania sighed as she snuggled closer to Kaia. She didn’t care what would happen to her in the end, as long as she got her vengeance; and with her team trusting her, she didn’t have to worry too much.

"Thank you. I can feel their presence at our borders. They are here," Rania said and their eyes lit up as they got ready to fight. This was going to be a long gruesome fight, but it was owing that Kim Rania wasn’t going to let it go easily.

"Well then, I guess it’s time to lower the barriers, and welcome them to Incayon, don’t you think?" Han Seong asked with a mischievous glint in his eyes. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢

"Yeah, let’s go be there when they walk in," Rania said before adding, "over the cliff."

"Always, over the cliff," they responded before they made their way toward the borders, with their weapons in their hands.
