Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 330: A Desperate Attempt At Freedom
[OBREN]
With the misfits gone, Daehyun looked at the hurting leaders with a lot of questions. He knew they had come because they wanted to save them but even they should have known that Rania had an impossible army rallying behind her.
They should have been ready for whatever came their way, and instead, the only thing that Daehuun saw was chaos after chaos. Their people were losing so badly and there was nothing they could do about it. But was that it really?
"They’re gone, wake up guys," Daehyun said to the other five prisoners who were standing at the podium. They were still in terrible shape, but they all shared one common goal. The desire to make a run for everything here.
They wanted to leave and go home, they wanted to find peace, and more than anything, they wanted to forget all the things they had gone through here.
It wasn’t going to be easy seeing how messed up they had been but even that was never going to be enough to make them understand the situation right? 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
"What’s happening?" King Seojoon said when he heard a lot of screams coming from near him.
He had been trying to mute out everything but the slower screams were asking him questions about everything he believed in. Well at this point, believing in anything was futile. He knew that already.
"That’s black magic at work. King Nathaniel, Brent, and Luna Park are here along with other pack alphas. They came with this with a huge army, but they will lose, unless we come up with a good way out of this," Daehyun said and the werewolf King let out a frustrated sigh.
His enemy had come to his home and agreed to work with his warriors just so they could get the Kingdom in order. It just spelled a fucked up situation, one that raised more questions than answers.
They had to have a way out of this, but how the hell were they even supposed to do that?
What were they doing to make it all better when they were prisoners?
"This is crazy," King Seojoon sighed as he heard the rest of the prisoners wake up. They had been in one of the worst pistons ever and the fact that they had to try and be sane through this was so cruel.
"Tell me about it. We need to save as many warriors as we can. So we need to think and think fast, because even the warriors are not here. They are all out there on the battlefield. None of them are falling, like we had experienced in Calindra," Daehyun said frustratedly.
He was angry and disappointed. He wished he could be useful to his people. He could see the female warriors fighting there and it broke his heart even more. He had the right skills to fight and yet he had ended up a prisoner.
Daehyun had heard of Boksoon’s death and now he had to watch in agony as his pack mates and allies were reduced to ashes. This wasn’t fair at all.
"What the hell can we do? Can’t you hear them crying out so loudly?" the King asked and Daehyun felt defeated once again. This wasn’t how they had wished for this.
"We can pit them against each other. We can divide and conquer even if we are chained," Daehyun suggested and Jihoon let out a cough.
The Calindra alpha had been silent, trying to understand what the hell he was in, but now that he was hearing his best friend’s voice, he felt alive again. It wasn’t much, but it was enough to give them hope.
However, there was a different memo to Jihoon’s cough and for the first time, Daehyun knew he would defy his brother. They had a card up their sleeve and they could use that to get them out of this, but would it ever work?
"You can’t. No one can. Have you seen that team? They call themselves the misfits and they have been sticking to each other as if they depend on themselves. No one has been able to come between them for years and years.
"So there is just no way that you would come between them," a tired Jihoon voiced out, and Daehyun sighed.
Of course, he knew that was what everyone knew. But then he and his brother were aware of something that no one else was. They had a card up their sleeve and depending on how they played it, the outcome would be different.
"We can tell them about their truth, right? I mean if they want to act all saintly and mighty, we might as well help them with their problems, right?" Daehyun said and the King wondered what he was talking about.
"Not really the best of ideas. That woman scares the hell out of me, and I never scare easily. If you want to put them against each other, I might as well start shaking and triggering the tight noose on my neck. Good luck to y’all," Yanna voiced and Daehyun sighed.
Ever since he had known the woman, there was only one person that scared the shit out of her, and now it seemed like that was the only thing that was hindering her from thinking clearly.
Maybe she needed to snap out of her fear of Rania, but was that even possible? There was still a lot they could do and with the information Daehyun was thinking he had, they could find a way out of this. Perhaps there was something that they could do
"Shut it, you’re too pessimistic for the hope we are trying to revive," Daehyun said and Yanna just laughed.
She had been in the same dungeon with them.
She had seen how much they all had suffered and she knew firsthand what was coming for them and even how they would probably respond. They had a lot of avenues for them but then they had to find a common ground.
Maybe Yanna was right, maybe what they were planning would backfire on them terribly.
Maybe they needed to face their truth, and maybe just maybe they needed to stay still and not anger the misfits even more. There was a lot that they were not aware of and diving in head first was not good. Especially seeing as the pack leaders were still in agony right now.
"Me? Pessimistic? Dude you’ve seen Rania in action and you even saw how she butchered the previous wolves. You can’t just sit there and tell me that you don’t understand how this could backfire on us.
"Need I tell you that she is the first female Lycan right now? You’re playing with fire and I would like to not be a part of it," Yanna said as she went back to being silent. She was sick of hearing the explanations that wouldn’t serve them well.
She knew Rania, she knew how that woman’s brain worked and even with all that information, Yanna Petrova was still scared shitless of the woman. It was like Rania was the one devil she wouldn’t ever dare to face.
Hell, Yanna could pick a fight with the Seto brothers, but Rania was where she drew the line, and that made it even weird, considering she was supposed to be someone else. Independent and one who wasn’t scared of anyone.
As it turned out, even the bravest of them all had their fears.
"You want to tell her about her brother being alive?" Jungwoo asked, right when Rania and Chang Wook showed back up.
