Chapter 332: Of Deadly Family Reunions

[RANIA]

"Rani please," Daehyun pleaded, hoping to reach out to the humane part of Rania, the girl they had broken so terribly it was even a wonder who she had managed to start.

The beta was painfully aware that this was a long gamble and he knew that they would have to pay a huge price for it. He just didn’t know it would be barely minutes later. It was like the whole universe was conspiring to give Kim Rania her vengeance.

While that wasn’t so bad, they couldn’t deny that Rania had changed drastically. Perhaps there wasn’t even a humane side of her to plead with in the first place.

Whose fault was that though?

"I’m just giving you all what you wanted, alright?" Rania said before turning to her brother and letting him remove the cover on Yanna Petrova’s head.

She looked like shit, but compared to the others here, she was holding on very well. It was impressive, and perhaps it was because she had a long history of getting herself into trouble and finding a way out on her own.

She never had anyone in her corner, which drove her to what she had done, but goddamn, if she had to do it again, Yanna knew she would have done the same thing, if that meant getting a little family, one that cared for her for a time.

She had been a good Luna to them; so, for the Calindra warriors and wolves, Luna Yanna Park was the best they could have ever had. Well, so much for the best, given that she was trapped here with the others.

"What?’’King Nathaniel asked as he took in the sight before him.

He wasn’t sure what he was expecting, but the woman he had been hunting, and the woman he was suspecting was his daughter were one and the same person. What kind of game was the universe playing right now?

"I know you," Bai Tong said with disgust on his face.

Of course, he knew her.

She was the one who had murdered three hundred vampires because she was bored.

She was the woman who had terrorized people that didn’t do her any wrong.

This woman was the one they had sent scouts to go look for, but the only thing that came back home to them was the dead bodies with hearts ripped out. This woman was a piece of shit and Bai Ting wasn’t going to forgive her.

"Well hello there, Leader Bai. Are you still mad at me for killing your vampires? I must tell you though, they screamed louder than you all were when I killed them.

"All I wanted was a chance to go into the vampire Kingdom and see for myself what the vampire home was and they weren’t nice. Actually, you weren’t nice. You made me kill them. If you are to blame anyone else, then just blame yourself.

"Perhaps your king of a brother would find ways to forgive you, right?" Yanna said nonchalantly and Bai Ting let out a warning growl.

He hated this woman with all that he had and didn’t have.

The woman had an ego the size of a mountain and yet here she was, being the one person that was scared shitless of Kim Rania. Perhaps there was always a balance in the universe. That much, baiTing was sure of.

"Well, karma did come and bite your ass in the form of Kim Rania right? You thought you would just ruin lives and get away with it. I hope she kills you in the worst of ways, you little ungrateful conniving bitch.

"Goodness I could kill you right now," Bai Ting said angrily while Rania and her brother were watching amusedly.

They had never met someone who despised Yanna like they did, and right now, they were loving what they were seeing. This was golden and this was the perfect chance for them to let them spew out their hate.

"Careful Leader Bai. I am a hybrid and while that probably doesn’t mean shit to you, it means I can kill you in worse ways than anyone else. But, I wouldn’t do that, because I hope to buy some favor with your lonely brother who’s staring at me like I’m some lost sheep.

"Why is he looking at me like that though? Don’t tell me you told your brother that I stole his rum?" Yanna said and King Nathaniel looked at the woman before them. He didn’t know what to make of the situation and that was honestly worrying him.

He had done his best to try and make sense of the situation. He had tried to understand what the hell was going on here, but then he couldn’t let himself agree to that truth.

He had brought on so many vampires to save his daughter or even get a body and all he was getting was the woman who had hurt his people even more. Surely the goddess couldn’t be that cruel to him and his people, right?

"What?" King Nathaniel managed out, even though he was clearly absent-minded.

Of the things he had expected, this had to be the worst of them all. He didn’t even know how to feel about this and now he was confused, wondering if he had done the right thing for his dead daughter.

Maybe that’s what every father could have done. Every father who didn’t know where their child was. Every father wanted to make sure their family was complete. Only that he got the worst end of the stick and had a devil for a daughter.

Well, technically the rumors had been true, so he wouldn’t exactly say that he didn’t know his daughter was the devil’s bastard right? The only problem with that was that he was the devil that was being talked of in this case. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"You can take your family quarrels elsewhere. I have something spicier than a King complaining about his dead vampires, or an uncle wanting to slay his own niece. I get that you all are one dysfunctional family, but you couldn’t be more dysfunctional than mine.

"So, can we please get back to the agenda? You guys can sort your issues out at your family gathering. If you all make it out of here alive alright?" Rania interrupted them, making Bai Ting look at her like this was some crappy family show.

This was not what they had expected and the fact that Daehyun had his head bowed while Rania was talking about family spoke volumes.

"Actually, let’s remove all the covers on the prisoner’s heads. We have something that would torture them even worse than us hiding them away like the maniacs they are supposed to be," Rania said with a sinister smile and Jungwoo let out a defeated sigh.

He was painfully aware that this was not going to be pretty. He knew that their reality and bubble of truth were slowly going to fade and more than anything, he knew that they were going to be ruined, and it wasn’t because of Kim Rania and her chaos.

It would simply be because of the secrets that went deep into his family.

Oh but if only there was an easier way out of this madness.

If only love and life meant something, but they couldn’t play saints right now anyway so they just had to be prepared for the worst.

"To quell your anxiety, Yanna is Jungwoo’s brother, funny, right?" Rania teased.
