Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 334: If You Go Low, I Go Lower [2]
[RANIA]
"You should buckle up, Your Royal Highness. I’m just getting started," Rania said with a smirk and Yanna felt her heart sink into her stomach.
This was sickening and the fact that she had spent years on years blaming herself for her lack of parentage made Yanna wonder where the hell things had gone wrong.
She had blamed herself for years, for not being good enough, for not being wanted and yet it turned out that her parents were a King and a queen. What was she to make of this?
"Stop, please," Queen Eunbi forced out, her throat dry and her eyes swollen from the amount of crying she had been doing earlier. She had been too tired to think and adding the stress that Luna Kim had made her feel, she wasn’t in the right mind.
She was still stressed about the fact that Luna Kim had known where her son’s twin was. And if it had been Yanna, Luna Kim would have spelled it right out. But it wasn’t and that was worrying the queen.
She had kids, and now it seemed like she had three kids.
"Why? The last time you and I shared a space, you threatened my Dalrae. You even made me feel like the damn mission was a must to protect my sister. Now you must know what it feels like, having a child and not being able to protect her.
"Think of how Yanna could have turned out if you and the vampire King had shared custody, or even raised her well. She would have had siblings, a brother who was actually good enough.
"The vampire King over there, wouldn’t have had to kidnap Jungwoo just to prove to you how strong he was. He could have tried to negotiate with you for the sake of the child you had. But look how fast the tables turned, your Royal Highness.
"Your heart is so broken you can’t think straight. You keep mumbling about Junghwa in your sleep and keep hoping that your son’s twin comes home but all you got is a child so broken. Funny how you all were quick to call me a psycho.
"Will you call your own flesh and blood that? If you all think I’m lying, check the tattoo on Yanna’s back. See if it doesn’t have the birthmark of King Nate’s household and the mark of your household," Rania taunted, not even giving them a break.
She had waited for years to do this and she didn’t care that she was being cruel.
Everyone here had been cruel to her at one point in time. They had broken her spirit more than once and if she hadn’t been a strong wolf who didn’t let anyone pin her down if she didn’t have her Dalrae or even her misfit friends, Kim Rania would have long given up.
And yet here she was, the girl of the hour, the woman who knew the dirtiest of their pathetic hidden secrets. Oh, but she had it all for them and she wasn’t going to hold back, at least that much was certain.
"I only ever had two children. Jung Woo and Jung Hwa. I didn’t know where you got the notion that Yanna is my daughter. She’s too crazy and too broken to be my child," the werewolf queen said and Yanna let out a soft gasp.
She wasn’t sure what to make of this anymore. She had never imagined that there would come a day when she felt like she was being kicked while down, but then here they were.
Her own mother was making her feel unwanted even though the news was as shocking to everyone as it was to her. They should have tried to make it make sense and yet all that Yanna had gotten was a mother who was evasive even to the last moment.
"Damn, lady. No wonder you and my mother were best friends. You really are terrible at the job of being mothers. Who else do you want to come and confirm this for you? The King himself?
"We all know the vampire King hates kids, and yet the man dragged three hundred of his best warriors and twenty-one shady warlocks just so he could come and find his daughter’s body.
"I know that’s fucked up seeing as the girl that is of his blood is the one he has been hunting, but what can I say? Karma at its best? Even the universe knew what you all did was cruel," Rania taunted and Chang Wook just watched out for any damages headed for his sister.
He knew that Rania’s heart was breaking for Yanna, but he could also tell that even in the empathy Rania was feeling for Yanna, there was still the strong desire to kill Yanna Petrova and teach her a lesson that even the fates would be shocked at.
His sister didn’t care, and yet she cared. Oh, the paradoxes of life.
"Kiki, stop," Jihoon spoke up using the name that he always used on Rania when they had been normal people, once upon a lifetime ago. But would that be appealing to Rania when she had gone through all that shit because of this fucked up family?
Would that be justice enough?
Would that be karma enough for what she had gone through?
"Oh please. You knew who she was from the moment you met her and yet you didn’t say a thing. You knew she was the heiress of both Kingdoms, the girl with a right to both crowns, and yet you failed to mention that to anyone, including her.
"Was it because you wanted her power too? I mean if I were you, I would do the same; after all, she’s the werewolf queen’s daughter and the vampire King’s daughter. That in itself could have given you alliances out of this world.
"But it didn’t work for you, even after my mate bond was manipulated. It didn’t work because she was never yours, she would never be, and you need to wake up from that stupid dream, Jun.
This isn’t the time to play hero, it really isn’t, and it doesn’t suit you anyway," Rania said coldly and with a sinister laugh. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Anyone would think that she was still caught up in her broken love story with Jihoon, but she wasn’t. The man had let her go a second time, instead of fighting for their bond.
Rania had held on to their bond for eight long years and endured everything because she never wanted Jihoon to blame himself and yet when he found out the truth about their bond, he cast her aside in the pretense of forgiveness.
That was something Rani was never going to forgive.
Jihoon and Yanna had stolen her fate from her and she was going to take everything from them. Everything till the only thing they would be left with was an empty pack.
"You’re better than this, Kiki," Jihoon tried again, as the world slowly disappeared behind them, leaving the two of them in their world. However, even that wasn’t enough to make her turn back. She had waited for this moment and she wasn’t going to let it go.
"That’s where you’re wrong. I am not better than this. If anything, I am worse than this. If you think I’m kidding, then watch this," Rania said, before she rushed to Yanna, forced the woman’s claws out, and scratched herself so deeply that it hurt like a bitch.
And then Rania screamed her lungs out for Kaia’s help.
