Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 367: Perhaps Forgiveness Was Always A Choice
[CEZAEVI]
"You have some nerve showing up here when this is all your fault!" King Seojoon said angrily to the vampire king, Nathaniel, who scoffed at that.
Of the things he expected to be accused of, a homewrecker had never been it. He hadn’t even thought that it would have been possible to get to this point, but here they were.
Perhaps they just had to go slow on each other but then it could have been easier if they didn’t have an ice storm literally outside their house every second of the day. It was like they were never going to get out of here.
Maybe they would find a way out, right?
If anything, the misfits couldn’t be that bad to leave them without a loophole, right?
"My fault?? You have got to be fucking kidding me. Is it my fault that we are trapped here, huh? Is it my fault that you were bested? Bested by a kid that is way younger than you? A twenty-five-year-old kicked your ass.
"Oh wait, she kicked your ass when she was just twenty-four. This kid had been a nuisance to you since time immemorial, but you never thought that you were the one doing something wrong.
"You never imagined that she would come up against you, but hey, let’s blame it on me for having a crush on the most beautiful woman I ever saw, right?" King Nathaniel said angrily, making Eunbi look at him.
He had never changed and for a moment she was glad about that. She was here with them with her two children and their fathers; While she wanted to go and embrace Yanna Petrova as her own, the werewolf queen wasn’t sure she would be needed.
She wasn’t sure her child would want to be with her mates, especially after everything that she had gone through. She had lost two girls and now she was losing her family.
The universe really despised her, but was that really it, or was her choice in men just as poor through and through? Then again, King Nathaniel seemed to have loved the werewolf queen with all of him.
He seemed to even worship the very ground the woman walked on, so what could have gone so wrong between them despite all that happened? Where the hell were they even supposed to do all that?"
"It is your fault that everything got fucked up. We were the best of friends. We were everything that any friend group could have wished for. We had love, we had power, we had the kind of life that many yearned for, and you just had to go on ahead and ruin it!
"The both of you ruined our friendship. The both of you fucking slept together. You didn’t even tell me. You didn’t even come clean to me. Life could have been better, because hey, I wasn’t going to make you kill the kid!
"I am not that heartless, but no. You both had to just try to be smart and see where it got us. Do you want to talk about bonds? See what happened to our kids. See what happened to our realities. Even after everything, our children found their way to each other.
"They figured out what we couldn’t have. In a life when we could have worked through, in a situation that should have been easy, our children proved to be way more mature than us. How’s that for reality?
"How’s that for the life we should have cultivated? What happened already happened and there is nothing that can change that. But the fact that our kids; our kids found a way through the chaos and didn’t scowl at each other?
"They love each other, like siblings, they fucking protected each other, but hey let’s continue talking about a betrayal that shouldn’t have happened, right? Where do you want me to start, Nate? Tell me!!!!" the werewolf king bellowed, bringing the attention of their kids back to them.
This wasn’t going to be pretty for any of them and regardless of the situation, they had to admit that they hadn’t gone about it any better than they should have. They should have been the adults and yet their kids had stepped up and done better than them.
Way better than them.
However, there was so much pressure in the room, so much anger, and so many disappointments. It was almost like they didn’t know what else to do so they were picking 0 on each other.
But then with such a dangerous attitude, what else was there for them to be facing at the moment, tight?
Or maybe, just maybe, they would have to work through the chaos and find a common ground, otherwise, they would lose themselves and that would be the worst of things that could have happened to them.
"How about you start by trusting your wife? She is your wife. Your mate. We didn’t sleep together when you were mates. We didn’t have a baby when you were mates. You knew I was in love with her.
"She was in love with me. But hey, the mate bond just had to come in between us, right? The goddess just had to snatch whatever was left of our bond right? Let’s be honest, Joon. You got with her because she was who the moon had given you.
"You were with her because you didn’t do shit. And if we are also being honest, you knew she was mine from the very beginning. So if you want to blame someone, blame the fucking goddess who ruined our lives and turned us into whatever sick joke this is.
"I don’t care what you do, how you handle this, but I swear to the goddess if you hurt her, I will come after you. And no, I won’t come after you for hurting your mate as you’re so ready to out it. If you hurt the mother of my child. I will bring you down.
"I will go hard on you so badly you will be tempted to go and join Benita. Accept the reality now. She is yours. You didn’t see me camping beside her, because even I know how to respect bonds.
"I know when I’m not needed and I am smart enough to know that both of you have two kids. I won’t break up your family for my selfish interests, Joon. But you must not blame the mother of our children for something that she wasn’t even aware of.
"She forgot her pregnancy, Joon. She went through the worst and she didn’t even have a clue about it. We were the most powerful kings and yet we couldn’t protect the woman we love.
"What good are we to our children then?" Nate asked frustratedly and the kids and even Luna Park had come closer to listen to them.
This was the pad of their lives that no one had ever prepared them for. It was the reality that would never be the same, and more than anything, it was the phase of their lives that nothing had made any sense.
"Our children need us to find a way out of this, not exposing them to more harm and blaming them," the werewolf queen spoke, making the two kings stare at each other unknowingly.
They were aware of how this could impact the children, especially since they had been in that state once upon a time. They had been kids from broken families too and their friendship brought them out of misery.
Perhaps they could make a better world for their children, right?
But how would they do that when they were trapped in a hell of ice?
"Fine. I’m sorry, okay? I just— hearing all that from Rania of all the people fucked me up a little. That kid is the greatest nuisance in my life and yet I can’t seem to rid myself of her. The fact that she is a Lycan doesn’t even make it any better for me. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
"What the hell am I supposed to do with the kid that wants me dead any chance she gets? It’s like she is determined to run me over or something," the werewolf king said to Yanna just laughing heartily this time.
They may have been trapped here but the statement the kind was using was something that was quite ironic.
Clearly, they didn’t know just how much Rania’s spite for Yanna was.
"Don’t stress yourself too much. She doesn’t hate you more than she hates me or even more than she loved Jihoon. I saw her move mountains to make sure Calindra was safe, to make sure everyone in the pack would be better.
"She was fighting Jihoon and Calindra on the front. But behind the scenes, I watched her beg Odelia to save the dying Calindra borders. I watched her protect Calindra with her life like it was the only thing she ever wanted.
"Rania made Calindra the most feared pack, but only because she was always there to protect Calindra. Odelia always wiped memories, and yet for some reason, Rania never wiped my memories off.
"So, when she heard that I had come back and Jihoon welcomed me, well, it didn’t sit right with her," Yanna stated so calmly, like the whole of Calindra hadn’t been in shambles because of Kim Rania.
That woman had led the war to reduce Calindra into shambles. If she loved them so much, then why the fuck would she burn it down, right? Why would she lead an army to ride down the same pack she was supposedly dedicated to? Why would she ruin it to the ground?
"Of course, you’d praise her," Luna Park said and Jihoon shook his head.
"Dalrae led the attack, not Rania."
