MMORPG: Martial Gamer-Chapter 1337 - Ship!
Chapter 1337: Ship!
In Brave Continent, Twilight City was the foundation of Twilight City. Returning to Twilight City put them in an invincible position.
There were over 15 major districts and 300 main cities in Brave Continent. If they didn’t have Twilight City to rely on and if they offended a guild like Peerless Heaven, everyone could still make a run for it even if they couldn’t defeat them. In fact, it wasn’t as though the Quan Zhen Sect hadn’t done anything like that.
However, the entire Immortal Island was merely half the size of Brave Continent. Additionally, the Quan Zhen Sect came over by taking a ship so if the enemies destroyed their ship, there was basically nowhere for them to run in such a small place.
No matter how impressive Wang Yu was, he was still not Super Saiyan, right? How could he possibly slaughter an entire island of people by himself?
“Don’t worry about it!” Fearless mulled over it as he continued, “The few of us shall look for the NPC while Old Bull stays here to guard our ship.”
One did not have to be extremely skillful to look for an NPC as the key was experience.
In terms of gaming experience, Wang Yu was still the most inexperienced as compared to the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect.
Moreover, this ship was the most essential tool to determine whether everyone could head back home. If they failed a quest, the most they would have to do was pay some compensation. If they couldn’t return to Brave Continent, they would be losing much more than just money… Therefore, they had to rely on an incredibly reliable person for this job.
It was clear that in the hearts of the Quan Zhen Sect, no one else was more reliable than Wang Yu.
Wang Yu also knew this so he had no objections with Fearless’ arrangement. After Fearless gave instructions to everyone, all of them left the beach and Wang Yu was the only one left behind with the ship.
…
Concurrently, the short Warrior who had been killed by Ming Du’s lightning had already been resurrected at Saga City’s resurrection point.
The moment he was resurrected, this fella pulled open his friend list and clicked on a player called Chiat, “Group leader, are you around?”
“En!”
Within seconds, Chiat sent a reply, “What’s going on, Heavenly Maple?”
Even though this short Warrior looked ugly, his ID was pretty unique as he was called Fourteen Heavenly Maple.
“I’ve been killed!” Fourteen Heavenly Maple replied.
“You’ve been killed?” Chiat was continued asking, “Who has such guts? To kill a member of our Black Dragon Guild?!”
Dying in the game was normal and the short Warrior was not some important character in the guild as well. Dying once was inconsequential but being killed by someone was an entirely different situation.
Killing someone from the Black Dragon Guild was not just a matter of one life but the pride of the entire guild. It was also an undermining of their rule in this place.
Ever since the opening of the server, Black Dragon Guild had assumed control over the entire Immortal Island. With that much control, it instantly became an incredible news that someone dared to oppose them.
Fourteen Heavenly Maple replied in a slightly confused tone, “I believe those people equipped themselves with some sort of item capable of hiding their identities. Their names were not recorded after I was killed.”
“Oh?” Chiat asked again, “Then do you remember how they look like?”
“This is what I wanted to tell you!” Fourteen Heavenly Maple continued, “They are a bunch of Chinese!”
“Chinese?” Chiat was taken aback, “Immortal Island and Brave Continent are separated by the ocean so how did they come over?”
“Of course by ship!” Fourteen Heavenly Maple answered, “That ship is by the beach now. Should we…”
“Ohh?”
Chiat’s eyes lit up the moment he heard what Fourteen Heavenly Maple said.
The conversation between Fourteen Heavenly Maple and Chiat made it clear that this fella did not regard how he was killed as important.
As mature adults, everyone knew how to deal with the important matters first.
During ordinary times, Fourteen Heavenly Maple would have wanted Chiat to bring men over to avenge his death immediately. This time, he realised that there was something more important than his pride and that was Wang Yu’s ship.
Immortal Island might be categorised as an independent server but it was still merely an island. The Black Dragon Guild had control of over one-half of the Japanese server which also meant that there were basically not enough resources for everyone.
In the past, the Black Dragon Guild’s players couldn’t do anything due to the restriction in the game. Now that the data across the world were merged, it also meant that Japanese players could head over and expand their development at Brave Continent.
The data across the world might have merged but it wasn’t the case for transportation. It was an impossible dream for the Japanese to cross the ocean with their small wooden boats. Therefore, the Black Dragon Guild had been trying their best to think of ways to travel across the ocean.
This was a perfect situation for them as the Quan Zhen Sect’s arrival was basically sending charcoal in snowy weather.
As long as they could get their hands on this ship, a promotion and an increase in salaries would be a matter of minutes… Being killed once or twice seemed completely insignificant when compared to the benefits they would receive.
After the surprise, Chiat pondered for a moment before asking Fourteen Heavenly Maple, “How many Chinese are there? How are their fighting capabilities?”
Fourteen Heavenly Maple furrowed his brows as he answered, “I think there are about over ten of them and they seem pretty strong. One of their Magicians is impressive enough to kill me in an instant.”
“Oh…” Chiat was not particularly surprised when he heard what Fourteen Heavenly Maple said.
In Chiat’s eyes, Fourteen Heavenly Maple was not considered to be some top expert and the fact that a Magician was effective against a Warrior, killing him in an instant did not come as a huge surprise.
At the thought of that, Chiat continued, “Where are you now? I’ll bring some people over to find you now!”
“Alright!! I am here at Saga’s beach resurrection point! Come quickly!”
…
The Japanese were incredibly efficient as after a few minutes, Chiat arrived with a group of players to meet Fourteen Heavenly Maple at the resurrection point.
When Fourteen Heavenly Maple saw the players behind Chiat, he was slightly dissatisfied as he said, “Group leader, they are all top experts and you only brought ten people?”
“Quit the nonsense!” Chiat replied, “These are all the men we have in our group. If we look for more players, will we get a chance to claim the ship? Besides, all of us here except you are Level 50 experts… Do you really think we cannot deal with a few Chinese players?”
“But…” Fourteen Heavenly Maple wanted to argue further.
Chiat was already irritated as he stopped him, “Alright, let’s not waste any more time. Bring us over now!”
“Alright!”
Even though Fourteen Heavenly Maple was still worried, Chiat’s words were reasonable and logical so he quickly brought them towards the beach.
…
Back on the beach, Wang Yu was left alone to entertain himself as the rest of the Quan Zhen Sect went ahead to find out more about the NPC they were looking for. As a person from the North, Wang Yu did not like to play with water so he simply sat down on the sand like a child building a sandcastle.
If his old man knew that Wang Yu was using his god-grade weapon to build a sandcastle, he would probably die of anger.
Just when Wang Yu was entertaining himself, Fourteen Heavenly Maple arrived not too far away from where Wang Yu was seated.
