Chapter 432: Epilogue - II

Genevieve’s POV

A few months later~

A breath left me as I woke up and rolled over into his arms. As usual, they were waiting for me and wrapped around me the moment I came close.

"My love." Tristan whispered in my ear and I smiled.

"My vampire." I teased and winced slightly when I moved. It was a story of every time I woke up. The pain in my legs always made everyone aware of what we had done if the scent did not.

Tristan frowned at my movement and my expression. "Did I cause you too much pain?"

I smiled and shook my head. "It would be disappointing if you did not."

He huffed. "You have to stop challenging me. Otherwise I might let go of the control."

"Why do you have it? Let go of it. We are married now." I showed him the ring I always had on my left hand. It was his mothers but he had made it more beautiful.

It was a beautiful deep red diamond. Almost resembling the colour below. He had added two smaller diamonds beside it and a beautiful work of branches of diamonds followed around. It was a huge ring, something told me that it had his possessiveness and was involved in the decision-making.

"Slowly," he answered, "I would let go of my control, especially the day you turn. Until then, I cannot risk getting injured. I will not have it."

His hand landed on my hip and I took a sharp breath in. Just a little of his touch and I was already craving more.

"No," he reminded me, "you have to go with aunt, remember? If you are late, she’s going to keep you from me longer."

I groaned. Chiara still continued to be a problem in my life. Her imposing presence had only increased after becoming my mentor and she had taken her job very seriously. Even though the crown was on my head, I was afraid of someone and that was my aunt.

There was still time for the day to begin. I took a lazy bath, that was with Tristan, and we may have been a little mischievous in it. Irene better and just looked the other way, returning once we were done.

We always rested separately, unless it was Tristan who was dressing me. we had tried it once, but his foot man had once glanced at me, and had not ended well.

My hair was put up and my mark was on. I understood when Marilyn said that it was something people took pride in. I had started to take pride in it.

Stepping out of my room, I found my friend, waiting for Me. Looping arms together, we walked to breakfast together.

"You look so beautiful." She gushed. " I always imagined that you were going to make a beautiful queen. You only exceeded them."

I smiled and giggled along. "Let me be a little humble. You will get me way over my head."

"I don’t think that I will. That is what the entire public says, whoever gets a glimpse of you." She gushed. "They say that they are the most beautiful queen Astria has ever had."

Do they?

I hummed, walking with her to the dining hall. This time, it was her and I alone. Tristan had to go away right after he was dressed. I no longer had any kind of aversion to the food Maryln. When we were done, we moved to my office that had been assigned to the Queen and where Chiara had already been waiting.

We got on the day, learning the lessons and brushing over what I already knew. My new aunt and law was quite a punishing teacher. Some believe in reward and punishment, she believed in punishment and a few handful compliments.

By the end of the day, she let me go, but instead of going to my room, I went to the stables.

Catherine had already taken her house. It was time for her evening stroll, but I was not going with her. It was time for Tristan to come back. I waited on my horse for him and when he appeared at the end of the entrance to the palace crossed the distance between us, and he turned around.

One of the changes that we had made were being more visible to the people. It was better for them to see him and I together, as I normal functioning couple.

Some waved, some came by, and children walked along. Soldiers kept them at a distance.

"They like you." I told him, noticing the eyes of many on him that were not filled with fear anymore. His ideas to bring people together were working slowly and as promised by him, I was being included in more.

"They only like me with you more, my love." His red dyes swarmed to me as he took my hand. Together, we took a small stroll from the palace before returning back to it. Catherine had still been gone, and it was to be expected of her. Lately, she had been finding ways to stay out at night. Tristan would not allow it and it was fun to watch them bicker.

Getting down from my house, with the help of my husband, I looked at him, only he could decipher.

"Eat first?" he proposed, always taking care of me first but I denied.

"Fed me, darling." I stepped closer and laid my hand on his chest. "But first, fuck me."

He grunted and picked me up. Before I knew it, I was in our bedroom with him on top of me.

"I fucking love you." He groaned and hid his face in my neck, inhaling me.

I chuckled and entangled my fingers in his thick hair. "Good, because we have a lifetime to spend together."

And it was going to be worth it.
