Mobuseka:Leon's Adventure-Chapter 94: Clash with the Five Idiots(14)
Chapter 94 - Clash with the Five Idiots(14)
When Jilk suddenly heard Leon's voice coming from seemingly nowhere, he jerked his head around, scanning the area frantically. His heart pounded faster, and his fingers involuntarily clenched into fists. Yes, Leon's words had enraged him, but right now, anger was secondary—fear had taken over. Something was wrong. He could feel it. But where was Leon? Where had he gone?
The answer was simple. If we go back a bit, to the moment Leon first met Luxion and learned about his capabilities, it becomes clear why he now seemed to have vanished into thin air. One of Luxion's key abilities was his capacity to render objects practically invisible by activating stealth mode.
The moment Leon saw this in action, he immediately realized just how useful this function could be—not just for ships but for armor as well.
The idea of integrating stealth technology into his armor seemed so promising that he didn't even hesitate before sharing it with Luxion. The AI, in turn, readily accepted the suggestion and modified Arroganz's armor, equipping it with an invisibility system. But, of course, Luxion wouldn't be Luxion if he didn't add a sarcastic remark to the process:
"I'm surprised you thought of this on your own, Master. Apparently, even 'special' people can manage to be surprising."
Leon immediately picked up on the underlying meaning in Luxion's words. That "special" was no compliment—it was yet another jab. Naturally, he wasn't about to let it slide. Without missing a beat, he swung his fist and struck Luxion's hull with all his might. But a mere physical blow wasn't enough to make an AI "feel" anything.
So Leon added magic to the punch.
That detail changed everything. The moment his energy touched Luxion's hull, the AI gave a barely perceptible twitch. His sensors flickered, and his usually calm, emotionless voice took on a sharp, almost irritated edge:
"That was entirely unnecessary, Master."
Leon simply smirked.
Back in the arena...
Jilk decided to try diplomacy. Even though he couldn't see Leon, he assumed the man could at least hear him.

"Bartfort!" he called out, then quickly lowered his voice so the spectators wouldn't overhear their conversation.
"Listen to me. I have a good offer for you," he began, making a conscious effort to sound as polite as possible, though it was clearly a struggle. "You're strong, and I respect that."
"Thanks, but I don't need your flattery," Leon's voice came from nowhere.
Jilk clenched his fists but forced himself to stay composed. He wasn't about to give up so easily.
"Think about it, Bartfort," he continued, still trying to keep his voice steady. "Why are you siding with Angelica? She's lost her influence, and if I had to guess, even her own family is ready to abandon her. If you stand with the prince, you and your family will live in wealth and comfort for the rest of your lives."
Silence.
A faint tension hung in the air. Jilk felt a drop of sweat roll down his back. If Leon refused now, it would be a disaster.
One second passed. Then another.
And then Leon's voice rang out once more—firm, confident, and completely indifferent to the offer:
"No. I have no desire to stand with the prince. No matter what happens, I'll stand by the truth."
Jilk gritted his teeth but refused to back down. He was willing to do whatever it took to win Leon over.
"Angelica... do you like her?" he asked, deciding to push that angle.
And without a moment's hesitation, Leon responded with absolute certainty:
"Yes. I like her."
Jilk felt something twist inside him. He was no longer even trying to hide his irritation.
"She's just seducing you so she can use you!" he snapped, practically shouting.
"You just described Marie," Leon shot back instantly.
Jilk's fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. His breathing quickened, and his voice filled with rage:
"Do you even realize what you're risking?! If you go against the prince and defeat him, I swear—you and your family will pay for it!"
At that moment, the air seemed to freeze.
"Do not threaten me or my family," Leon's voice suddenly rang out, cold and nearly devoid of emotion.
A chill ran down Jilk's spine, but his fury had already blinded him to caution.
"Die, Bartfort!" he roared, and in the next instant, magical energy erupted from his body.
"It seems that was the trigger for the explosives," Luxion calmly remarked to Leon.
At that very moment, an explosion thundered.
But it wasn't in Leon's armor.
The explosion... happened in mid-air.
The arena fell into dead silence.
One second.
Two.
And then, suddenly, multiple screens flared to life before Jilk. There were at least ten of them, each displaying different images and recordings. Jilk's eyes widened in disbelief.
The screens showed footage from the past few days—events he remembered all too well but never expected to see revealed so openly.
Videos of him speaking about Leon. Recordings of him preparing to plant explosives. Clips of him threatening the families of the prince's opponents. Concrete evidence of his schemes, his coercion, his manipulations.
And this... was only a fraction of it.
