Mobuseka:Leon's Adventure-Chapter 93: Clash with the Five Idiots(13)
Chapter 93 - Clash with the Five Idiots(13)
The Fourth Duel Begins
The time had come for the fourth duel. The judge loudly announced it as both combatants, clad in their armor, stepped onto the arena.
The audience was divided in opinion. Many doubted Jilk's victory—Leon had already demonstrated the full extent of his abilities. True, his tactics weren't always fair, but even without them, it was clear: his opponents simply lacked real combat experience. And yet, despite this, a significant number of students still supported Jilk. After all, he was the sworn brother of Prince Julius, and his status alone was enough to command respect.
Among the noisy crowd filling the stands, one girl stood out. She sat frozen, barely breathing, her face locked in an expression of pure fear. Sweat trickled down her temples, and her fingers clenched the armrests of her chair in a death grip. This was Jenna, Leon's sister.
She knew exactly what she had done. By agreeing to plant a bomb in her brother's armor, she had put his life in danger. Sure, she and Leon didn't always get along, but she loved her family—she never wanted any of them to die, not even him. But what choice did she have? Jilk had threatened her, and she had no way out.
And yet... in this terrifying situation, there was still one hope. If Leon surrendered, Jilk had promised not to detonate the bomb.
So now, Jenna could only pray, desperately pleading with fate that her brother wouldn't do something reckless.
Unfortunately for her, Leon wasn't just about to do something reckless—he was about to unleash absolute, unhinged chaos.

The Duel Begins
Tension filled the arena. Leon and Jilk stood facing each other, neither making the first move. They exchanged quiet words before the battle commenced.
Jilk, leaning forward slightly, spoke in a low but firm voice, ensuring no one but Leon could hear:
"You should surrender, Bartfort. You've chosen the wrong side, but you still have a chance to walk away. I promise—you won't regret it."
Leon, however, only smirked. That familiar spark of defiance flickered in his eyes.
"Ha-ha-ha! If anything, I should be saying that to you, Jilk. You'd better surrender now—because once this starts, turning back won't be an option... Trust me."
Jilk's face twisted with anger. His teeth clenched, and his fingers curled into fists.
"If you refuse to settle this peacefully... so be it!" he snapped. "I've said what I needed to say."
He took a deep breath, straightened up, and prepared for battle.

The First Strike
The judge raised his hand and loudly declared:
"The fourth duel begins!"
The very moment the words left his lips, Jilk made his move. Without hesitation, he hurled several smoke grenades directly at Leon's feet. They exploded almost instantly, flooding the arena with thick gray fog. Visibility dropped to near zero.
Not wasting a second, Jilk activated the jet boosters on his armor's back and shot into the air. His suit was equipped with a magical rifle capable of firing charged energy rounds.
As soon as he reached a high enough altitude to control the battlefield from above, he locked onto Leon's last known position and pulled the trigger.
A sharp explosive crack echoed through the arena as the first magic bullet tore through the smoke, flying straight toward its target.
But... was Leon still there?
Jilk continued to fire into the thick haze, unleashing shot after shot. If he hadn't outright killed Leon, then at the very least, he must have seriously damaged his armor. After all, there had been no counterattack—no movement at all.
A thought began to form in his mind: maybe the duel was already over.
Jilk slowed his rate of fire and waited for the smoke to clear. The entire arena held its breath in anticipation.
The spectators who had feared Jilk's defeat only moments ago now felt a surge of hope. With each passing second, they grew more confident in his victory.
On the other hand, those who supported Leon were becoming increasingly anxious. Some exchanged worried glances, while others gripped the armrests of their seats with white-knuckled tension.
Angelica stared at the battlefield without blinking, her entire focus locked onto the unfolding fight.
Olivia, however, occasionally looked away, as if afraid of what she might see. Her heart pounded in her chest, and her fingers trembled.

Clarice wasn't just anxious—she was furious. Her gaze bore into Jilk with undisguised hatred, as if she were already condemning him for what he had done.
And then, after what felt like an eternity, the smoke began to dissipate...
The entire stadium fell into stunned silence.
Leon was gone.
The massive suit of armor that had stood at the center of the arena just moments ago had vanished without a trace.

Panic in the Stands
"How is that possible?!" a student shouted.
"Did he just... disappear?!" another gasped.
"Did he run away?!"
The crowd erupted into a frenzy, murmuring and shouting in disbelief. Even the judges, security personnel, and commentators had no explanation for what had just happened.
But no one was more shocked than Jilk himself.
He frantically scanned the arena, his eyes darting from side to side as he searched for his opponent. His breathing grew ragged, and his grip tightened around his rifle.
And then...
A mocking voice spoke directly behind him:
"How do you like that? I disappeared... just like your father."
