In the outskirts of the capital, the True Bloods watched as several gargantuan monsters loomed beyond the blurred horizon. The silhouettes of the monstrous abominations reflected the golden light of day as the stormy heavens rumbled.

The defenders of the capital, the United Defense Force, found themselves enveloped by dread. After all, the towering monsters marching towards them were capable of trampling the cityscape.

They would have been confident if most of the True Bloods existed. But unfortunately, only two of them remained. In simpler terms, they were outnumbered.

The Leviathan roared, its reverberating breath blasting through the streets of the gothic city. Most defenses of the capital were severely damaged by the cultists.

They wouldn't be able to defend against the marching gargantuan monsters. There was one thing they could do, the most humiliating thing the Clan has chosen.

Withdrawal from the capital.

In mere moments, evacuation sirens echoed through every corner and street of the cityscape. The sense of stability and order had collapsed. With the situation escalating, retreat was the only option they had.

"I never expected there would be a moment where we would withdraw from the capital." Duke November muttered under his breath as he furrowed his eyebrows while staring at the marching gargantuan monsters.

He recognized that each and every one of them was capable of rivalling a True Blood or a Paragon. Now that only two of them remained, the choice was clear.

If they wanted to preserve whatever the Clan was, the citizens had to be evacuated to the southern cities. It meant one thing. The vampires would push back, heading south.

"Fortunately, the lower half of the New World is as large as the upper half." Duke November sighed in relief since the loss of territories wouldn't be too troublesome.

It would be akin to the southern frontiers of the Federation. A contest area ripe with death and conflict.

"The master wouldn't be happy with this cascading event." Duke August remarked as explosions resounded behind them. The evacuation tarnished the pride of the Clan.

Their progenitor must choose to stand no matter what, but Duke November recognized that something must be done. They weren't puppets to be wielded, after all.

"Regardless of where our master will be satisfied, why haven't the cultists been squashed?" His crimson gaze narrowed, glaring at the chaos brought about by the heretics.

"It seems that these monstrous abominations affect the minds of those nearby. They radiate a strange power that causes those within their range to become cultists."

Duke August explained, realizing the ugliness of the monstrous abominations. After all, it was the power to control the will and transform them into the faithful.

"Makes me wonder who're the enemies of the world are." Duke November chuckled at the remark, turning his eyes towards the monstrous abominations in the distance.

"I should have expected no less from an Aberrant." Regardless of how malevolent or benevolent Aberrants were, they were conceptual beings who could only be one-dimensional in terms of personality.

Unlike vampires or humans, whose environments and natures combined to create a new form. Aberrants kept true to their form. Whether it'd be from the beginning until the end.

"We should have disposed of him when we had the chance." Duke November sighed to himself. Even though only a couple of months had passed since then, it was an opportunity that was difficult to forget.

"We already lost when the strongest of humanity kept him around." Duke August shook his head since there was no opportunity with the White Devil backing the young Aberrant.

"I understand... Though I thought she was stupid when she took that Aberrant as her subordinate. No matter what she did, such creatures would stay true to their nature."

"In my eyes, he was a ticking time bomb that needed to be taken care of." Duke November thought of the Aberrants as dangerous forces of nature. If he found a weak one, despite his curiosity, he'd rather eliminate it outright.

"The White Devil was never someone we considered to be a rational woman. She's an insane human." Duke August muttered. After all, expecting the strongest of humanity to be logical was a foolish endeavour.

"You aren't wrong about that." Duke November smiled and summoned a couple of temporal domains, which enveloped a significant part of the capital. Better handle the cultists than not.

On the other hand...

Yuki confronted the Vampire Progenitor within an alternate dimension where the crimson moon was plastered across the night skies. It was a reality under the dominion of the old bastard before her.

Penetrating the alternate dimension was useless.

She had already done so with most of her power, yet the progenitor quickly repaired the fractured shards of the false reality. There was only one thing she could do.

"Are you planning to stall for time?" The Vampire Progenitor tilted his head, curious about the thoughts of the gorgeous lady before him.

He wondered why she would buy time. Was that Aberrant planning to do something with the capital? With this in mind, he decided to change his perception.

It was then that he saw the chaos that had engulfed the cityscape. Citizens were evacuating the city while his minions fought against the cultists that had flooded the streets.

"I see... Is this your plan? Trying to take the seal of the White Devil? Unfortunately for you, the way to open it is guarded by me. It doesn't matter if you had that artifact with you."

The Vampire Progenitor's voice was brimming with arrogance, but he wasn't wrong about the words he had uttered. Unfortunately, however... He was only half right. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Yuki chuckled at his remarks and shook her head. The oppression of the origin and the end permeated from her body as her strength grew much stronger than ever before.

The progenitor frowned at the sight, realizing that he had underestimated the growth of his adversary. It appears that it wasn't the best of times to be conversing.

Better take care of her now.

He became a blur and reappeared beside Yuki. In an instant, he beheaded her with his reality-cutting. Sadly, Yuki reappeared in the distance, smiling at him.

"I killed you." The moment he beheaded her. He felt her life being severed from reality, yet she remained standing in front of him as though nothing had happened. It was troublesome.

"I am the commander of life and death. If I could die so easily, wouldn't that be a funny joke?" Yuki chuckled as she turned her gaze upward. "But I won't be the one fighting you."

"I don't want to admit. But I don't have the capabilities to dispose of you. So the great one sent something that could do."

The Vampire Progenitor felt chills within his spine as nothingness seeped into the alternate dimension. The crimson moon was dyed black.

Meanwhile, Damien stared at his status display and felt a sense of satisfaction. The Clan was being forced back, and it seems that the reinforcements of Yuki had arrived.

Everything was going along the plan he had in mind.

"My Terror Points have also grown much faster than ever before. Is this the result of the evacuation?" Damien pondered, gazing upon the status display.
