When the reconnaissance plane returned to the fortified capital city of Denver, intelligence regarding the devastated fortress cities and strongholds was reported to the higher echelons of the Federation.

The result was the magnification of the internal chaos within the Federal Government. From the reports alone, one fact could be concluded. Their greatest adversaries had been defeated and pushed back.

But alongside the satisfaction of victory was the weariness and dread of being granted another individual capable of unravelling the New World on his own.

Politicians glanced at one another and decided to abandon their plans regarding the SIGIL and the metahumans.

Even the directors of CORE decided to break contact with the Federal Government and returned to their respective corporations as though nothing happened.

On the other hand, the SIGIL were astounded, especially the Paragons who sided with the Rogue Blade in resisting against the forces of the Federal Government and CORE.

"I should have expected no less from that young man~" The Fifth Paragon chuckled, realizing how ignorant she was despite being the Intelligence Director of the SIGIL.

"Damien got stronger, huh?" Francine felt a strange feeling of melancholy. After all, it hadn't been long since he was training with her as a fellow junior.

"Hmm... Isn't any of you thinking about the implications?" Beside them was the crimson-haired vampire, who raised her eyebrows at the two Paragons.

"Implications?" Francine glanced at her junior while the Fifth Paragon wanted to question, but promptly realized what Hecate meant.

"If the vampires are being pushed further south, wouldn't that mean that the progenitor has been handled one way or the other by Damien?"

She widened her arms in an exaggerated gesture, while shock dawned upon Francine. The Rogue Blade finally realized why the Federal Government and CORE backed off.

Another individual capable of rivalling the Seventh Paragon had emerged.

"So, the progenitor must have been forced to withdraw south, or the old bastard got handled..." Francine remarked, earning the gasp of those nearby.

"You really think that young man could defeat the progenitor?" The Fifth Paragon inquired, unable to believe the conclusions they were walking upon.

"Looks like we'll have to see for ourselves." Francine glanced towards the direction of the southern frontier, where the lower half of the New World lay beyond.

"Regardless of whatever occurred. The least we could do is ensure that it doesn't escalate into a damnable mess." She continued before standing up from her chair.

"Block 7 will be taking its leave. We will start another meeting by the end of this week. Its subject will be the Federal Government and CORE."

As someone who wielded a blade, Francine wasn't pleased with being threatened by others, especially from those weaker than herself.

She couldn't forget what the Federation and CORE tried to do with the SIGIL. She wasn't like her partner, Alastair, who, in her arrogance, couldn't care less about what they did.

In the southern fortress city of the Clan. The last True Blood of the Clan, Duke August, felt a sense of despair after hearing the news about the death of his senior and their master, the progenitor.

His eyes furrowed in the Gothic halls as several vampire nobles argued with one another about what should be done.

The future of the vampire species was at risk. After all, without the progenitor, they had practically lost the ability to turn others into the same race as themselves.

What was supposed to be their greatest capability, alongside immortality, was now lost. The thought alone baffled most of the vampire nobles.

"Lord August... As the last True Blood of the Clan, you must inherit our species and ensure its survival." After arguing for hours, the higher echelons of the Clan finally reached a suitable conclusion.

It was fortunate that the elites and one of the True Bloods withdrew from the capital. Otherwise, the southern cities would have been left with nothing.

No matter how immortalized they appear to be, the vampires were outnumbered by humans ten to one. This also didn't include the Paragons.

Duke August sighed to himself and glanced at those who stood in the hall. His thoughts were flooded with dread, yet he maintained an air of indifference.

Panicking now wouldn't do the vampire species.

They needed confidence and determination. Otherwise, the Clan would collapse under its own weight. The first thing they had to do was simple.

That was to consolidate as much power as possible. It might be argued that placing all eggs would only make it easier for humanity to annihilate them.

But there wasn't much they could do other than consolidate.

After all, other cities wouldn't be able to resist the upcoming retribution of the Federation. Chances of surviving would be low if they weren't united in a single banner.

With this in mind, Duke August swiftly ordered the vampire nobles in front of him. "I heard about an island further south. Declare an exodus towards that island."

"We must consolidate our power there and create an unbreakable shield. All for the survival of the vampire species." His words echoed through the Gothic halls.

The vampire nobles were dumbfounded, but understood what the True Blood meant. Compared to the Federation, which wielded several Paragons, they didn't stand a chance.

In simpler terms, it was better to create a sustainable paradise somewhere further south than confronting humanity.

"Affirmative, Lord August." The vampire nobles bowed their heads before leaving the Gothic halls of the southern fortress city.

Duke August watched them leave as an eerie silence began to pervade from every corner. His crimson eyes narrowed before closing. He had never thought to see the fall of the Clan in his lifetime.

Those who died against the White Devil fared better than he did. At the very least, they believed that their sacrifices brought a greater future for the Clan.

He was left behind to handle the remnants of the Clan. It was a fate far more humiliating than death. But alas, it was his duty to ensure the survival of their species.

Somewhere in the desolate landscape of the northern territories, Damien was walking towards the southern frontier while Yuki and Nexus followed from behind.

"Withdrawing further south into an island, huh? Smart move." It would have been impossible for them to maintain all the remaining territories, and they lacked the military power to do so.

Consolidation of power increases their chances of survival, especially against the Federation.

"Shall we subjugate the vampires, Lord Oberon?" Yuki tilted her head and asked, intending to handle the matter on her own.

Damien shook his head and responded. "No need to press them further, Yuki. The reason why humanity was united under the banner of the Federation was because of the vampire species."

"Without them, it wouldn't be long for the Federal Government to fracture. I want to avoid becoming a dictator."

"So as long as they don't pose an existential threat, it might be better to keep them."

Hearing his words, Yuki nodded in understanding. Damien chuckled at the sight and opened his status display. Half a hundred thousand Terror Points had been acquired once again.
