Monster Integration (Web Novel)-Chapter 2076: Fort Ardon
The teleportation formation activated, and I waved my parents for the last time as I disappeared and next second, I appeared in the hall with the teleportation gate, and in front of it, there were ten people already waiting for Danielle, Leonard, and Neela were among them.
"Lord Dexter, now that you have arrived, we could activate the gate," Said the women in charge of the formation.
"My apologies for being late," I apologized; the woman, a little surprised by my apology, nodded hastily before she focused on the teleportation gate.
While she performed her checks, I slowly walked toward the crowd; the crowd parted itself before I appeared in front of the formation. The crowd is filled with elites and leader class tyrants; with no master, we are all reinforcement.
The place we are going to is in little trouble; the assault of Grimm Monsters is heavy that we have lost one-four leaders and a couple of elite classes; the sensors have also picked some master class tyrants around the area.
The Pyramid fears that Grimm Monsters will launch an all-out assault to capture the fort and thus decides to send reinforcement.
This might be just tacking of them to make use of more forces on the place they are not going to attack, but which is why they are sending such small force. In the past month, Grimm Monsters have rapidly captured many important territories one and after another that, a grand commander could not effort to take the risk.
Still, the force pyramid is sending is quite small, seeing the place we are going is being helmed by a Grandmaster if Grimm Monsters launched an all-out attack, it will be quite hard to fend them off, but it is a war, and we have to take the chances, even when we know that odds are not in our favor.
Take my mother, for example, she had not told me about her assignment, but I am pretty sure that she is going inside the Grimm territory; her art is made for such thing.
I just hope that person she is going with is powerful enough that if something had gone wrong, they would be able to save themselves and my mother.
Buzz!
"The teleportation gate had activated. Lord Dexter, please," The woman said; I nodded and stepped into the formation gate. I entered the space tunnel before remaining there for a second before I appeared on top of the teleportation formation.
A moment later, one person after another appeared around me, till all of us had arrived at the destination.
"Welcome to the Fort Ardon, Lord Dexter," said the man who seemed to be an elite, and I couldn't frown at that. The etiquette and my demand that it should be a leader class Tyrant at the least to welcome me.
"My apologies Lord Dexter but Grimm Monsters have launched the attack, and higher-ups are in the command center," The Elite explained to me in a slightly shaking voice and only calmed down a little when I nodded in understanding without any anger on my face.
"My lord, I been ordered to escort you to general as soon as you arrive at the fort; he is expecting you," The elite man said while taking a peek at my badge of crossed black sabers.
"Lead the way," I said and walked out of the hall with an elite.
My current identity is Dexter Rose, a member of Secrete Legion, the most powerful and secretive legion of the humans, directly under the command of Grand Commander, and its members could only be utilized in a time of war.
This is the first time I have changed my identity, and people know it is fake. The people of the secrete legion never revealed their true identity, and even they revealed their faces, people knew it was not their real faces.
Ting!
The elevator opened to the highest floor, and I walked outside; in front of me was a big hall which was filled with elites and leaders watching the battle, but I instantly focused on a grandmaster who was looking out from the glass wall toward the battle outside where millions of humans are fighting the Grimm Monsters.
"Dexter, you have come; I was ecstatic when I heard Grand Commander is sending one of her people." Said the old man without turning from the battle.
"I was a little itchy for the past few days seeing the buildup of these bastards, but with you here, I could feel a little relieved," the old man added.
"Thank you for your good words, general," I said and appeared beside him. There are three masters around him, to which I nodded before I turned to the old man with fiery red hair, who is also giving out a fiery feeling from his bloodline.
"What do you think about the battle?" The old man asked. "We are fine currently; the elite who is leading is keeping the morale well fighting competently against the two Grimm Monsters," I said, not going into the detail.
The scale of war in front of me is something I had never fought in, there are more than twenty million humans, and Grimm Monsters are fighting. They are spread as far are my eyes could see and are fighting with the strict military precision I had never seen before.
There are currently fourteen human tyrants are fighting against twenty-four Grimm tyrants; the leader of our forces is a petite woman in green metal armor with a saber in her hand, fighting clinically against the two Grimm elites of the same level.
She is impressive; I had not seen anyone fight such perfectly in a long time; the women have perfect control over her strength and uses it to textbook perfection.
The most amazing thing about her is that she seemed young; she might be young as me. Her gaining such skills at such an age is impressive, even I was not good as her when I was an elite.
