Mr. CEO's Ex-Wife: A Cunning Comeback-Chapter 36 - : Search Carefully
Chapter 36 - 36: Search Carefully
"No, but Daniel found out that the fraud case and online rumors about me are true. He blamed me for not telling him and said he doesn't want me anymore..."
Ruby still had bruises on her face.
After hearing Kate's words, she felt relieved. "My dear, Mr. Wilson doesn't know about Railer's situation, so why are you so worried? He only broke up with you because of the chaos at the gala. If you comfort him, things will be fine. Every couple has arguments."
"Really? So Daniel isn't leaving me for good? He was just upset?" A trace of hope returned to Kate's eyes.
"Of course! As long as it's not a life-or-death situation or something truly serious, everything can be fixed with a little effort. Come on, my daughter shouldn't be this down!"
"Okay, I'll trust you, Mom! But what should I do now? Daniel must hate me. I don't think I even have a chance to win him back!"
"There's always a way! But don't get emotional with him right now. You need to change the situation. You know how much the family adores him. If you have his child, that child will definitely be cherished."
Kate's mind lit up at Ruby's words.
If she had Daniel's child, the baby would be smart and adorable—nothing like Railer. That would make her more valued, wouldn't it?
Kate blushed, gripping her quilt. "Mom, it's not as easy as you make it sound. Daniel has always been distant, and I can't even seduce him..."
Kate had tried before, but it never worked.
Ruby pulled out a small bag filled with pink powder. "Look, just a little of this, and you'll definitely get what you want!"
Kate hesitated. "I don't even have a chance to use it. He won't even see me..."
She recalled the way Daniel walked away without looking back and a cold feeling spread through her chest.
"That's easy to fix. Railer's birthday is next week, and our family has to go. You'll see him then."
Hearing that, Kate's mood instantly lifted!

After a few quick jumps, Chantelle slipped away from her pursuers and ducked into a narrow alley on the next street.
Her car was parked there.
She hurried toward it, but just as she reached for the door handle, she sensed someone coming closer behind her.
Without hesitation, she hid.
A group of men rushed past moments later. "Search carefully! We need to find that woman immediately!"
Chantelle immediately recognized the man in front—it was Ashton.
The group behind him were clearly the Wilson family's bodyguards.
How did they track her down so fast?
Her brows furrowed as she saw them heading toward her car. Without hesitation, she slid underneath it, keeping herself out of sight.
Taking out her phone, she quickly sent a message.
As Chantelle snapped back to reality, she saw a pair of polished leather boots right in front of her.
She instinctively held her breath.
Footsteps approached, stopping beside the figure standing near her.
"Sir, we found the car here, but there's no sign of anyone nearby," Ashton reported.
Mr. Wilson? Did Daniel come here himself? Then... these leather boots might belong to him.
Chantelle took a slow, deep breath as the realization sank in.
"Nobody?" Daniel's deep voice carried a sharp, icy threat.
"Y-Yes... Yes, sir..." Ashton stammered under the intensity of Daniel's menacing presence.
After a brief pause, Daniel's tone softened. "In that case, you can leave."

"Sir..." Ashton hesitated. Something felt off, but he didn't dare ask. Instead, he followed the others.
Chantelle stayed still, watching them leave. When the sound of their footsteps faded, she finally let out a quiet breath of relief.
Lying under the car for so long had made her body stiff. It took her a moment to move before she could crawl out.
Daniel was gone. The alley had fallen silent.
She knew she couldn't stay there any longer. Without wasting time, she got into her car.
The engine roared to life, and she quickly drove away.
Everything had gone surprisingly smoothly.
Still, something didn't feel right to Chantelle.
Daniel had left too quickly. On top of that, how could such a large group disappear so fast?
Doubt crept into her mind, making her restless. Without realizing it, she pressed harder on the gas pedal.
She was almost at the end of the alley when a sudden notification sounded from her car.
Soon, a sharp, burning smell filled the air.
Boom!
A deafening explosion echoed through the alley. Thick smoke billowed into the sky.
The car was blown apart, its shattered pieces flying in all directions.
Flames swallowed the entire vehicle in an instant.
Daniel watched the explosion from his car, a cold smile forming on his lips.
"Go check it out," he ordered.
"Sir, the car exploded. She's definitely dead. That was brilliant!" Ashton couldn't hide his admiration.
At first, he finds it strange when Daniel tells them to leave. Now, everything made sense.
Daniel walked out of the car, wanting to take a closer look.
Just then, his phone rang. "Your darling is calling Daddy! I'm your favorite, so pick up the phone quickly!"
Daniel stopped in his tracks and pulled his phone from his pocket.
He had forgotten to change his ringtone.
Without reacting, he answered the call. Meanwhile, Ashton struggled to contain his laughter.
The call connected, and Kane's voice came through. "Daddy, my head feels hot. I don't feel well..."
Daniel's expression shifted. "What? Rai, are you running a fever?"
Daniel tensed up the moment he heard Kane's voice.
His brows knitted together, and concern filled his eyes.
"I don't know... Daddy, can you save me?" Kane's voice was weak.
"Rai, don't be scared. I'll be there soon."
Daniel ended the call.
Without hesitation, he got into the car and told the driver to turn back.
Ashton noticed Daniel's anxiety and asked, "Sir, did something happen?"
Daniel's eyes darted on the burning car in the distance. "I want to see Chantelle—dead or alive!"
"Yes, Sir. Don't worry."

The explosion had injured Chantelle's arm, and she lost consciousness before arriving at the hospital.
Russell's specially trained medical team had already been informed and was waiting.
As soon as she arrived, they rushed her into surgery.
The operation was successful, and her arm was saved.
