My Amnesic Ex Married My Sister, So I Married His Uncle-Chapter 86: Ruthlessly Gorgeous, Beautiful and Badass
For a moment, the expressions on everyone present were unreadable.
The Qillian Club was so famous in Jandor that everyone who came, whether joking or serious, had speculated about its revenue.
The club had three floors in total, with the second floor and above being members-only.
The requirement for membership was spending over ten million within six months, but even with such a high bar, the VIP rooms were often fully booked.
By that calculation, even though it was just an entertainment venue, its annual revenue was astounding.
But the owner of the Qillian Club had always been a mystery. Their internal security was excellent; whenever a major issue arose, it was the club manager who handled it. Very few people knew who the real owner was.
’Since when was Stella Sterling the owner of the Qillian Club?’
Stella Sterling was wondering the same thing.
She was surprised, and despite her efforts to control her expression, her eyes widened slightly.
She turned to look at Julian Chandler and saw him give her a reassuring glance.
’Well, Julian Chandler is the real owner. He can say whatever he wants.’
Stella Sterling snapped out of it and calmly played along. "Even family has to settle their debts, Young President Sterling. I may be the owner, but there are no discounts. The bottles have all been opened, so remember to pay the bill. You can’t just expect a free meal, you know."
Chase Sterling was so furious he gritted his teeth. No wonder Stella had told the waiter to open all the bottles as soon as they came in. So, she had set him up again.
But with so many people watching, if he complained about the price, word would get out. What would happen to his reputation as Young President Sterling? He had to suffer in silence.
Felix Hollis, on the other hand, was delighted.
"Now that the bottles are open and the tab is confirmed, shouldn’t you come have a drink with me, Miss Sterling?"
Stella Sterling smiled instantly. "Of course."
As she spoke, she walked toward Felix Hollis, with Julian Chandler following obediently behind her.
The person sitting next to Felix Hollis immediately got up to offer his seat. Stella chose a spot a little farther away from Felix, and Julian sat down right between them.
Felix Hollis’s face instantly soured. "What do you think you’re doing sitting there? Get lost!"
Stella said, "Mr. Hollis, don’t be in such a hurry to kick him out. Just drinking is boring, so how about we play a game? I don’t come to places like this often, so I’m not very good at games. Luckily, I’ve got this young man here to be my player. If you lose, you drink. If he loses, I’ll drink. How does that sound?"
Although Felix Hollis was annoyed, he had to admit Stella had a point.
’What’s the fun in just drinking? Drinking while playing a game is much more interesting.’
’But what if this kid’s a pro?’
So Felix Hollis asked Julian Chandler, "What games do you know how to play?"
Julian Chandler scratched his spiky short hair. "Sorry, sir, I’m new here. I don’t really know how to play anything..."
Felix Hollis was thrilled.
"Stella, did you hear that? Are you sure you want him to be your player?"
Stella raised a confident eyebrow. "I never go back on my word."
"Fine! Don’t come crying to me later!"
Seeing how things were going, Julian timidly turned to Stella. "Miss, are you sure about this? I really don’t know how to play... What if I lose and you have to drink because of me?"
Stella looked at the gleam in his eyes. ’This kid is quite the actor.’
Stella placed two dice cups on the table. "It’s fine. Just play. All the losses are on me."
Felix Hollis even said magnanimously, "We won’t bully an honest guy. Since our young friend here doesn’t know how to play, let’s start with the simplest game: Over or Under. It’s easy. You shake six dice. A total over 15 is ’Over,’ otherwise it’s ’Under.’ The one who guesses wrong drinks."
Julian’s hand trembled as he reached for the cup. "Okay."
As it turned out, the bigger Felix Hollis’s smile was now, the more miserably he’d be drinking ten minutes later.
They played ten rounds of Over or Under. Julian won every single one.
Unconvinced, Felix Hollis switched to Liar’s Dice, but he still lost spectacularly.
The drinks Julian had ordered were all hard liquor, and Felix Hollis was soon so drunk he couldn’t tell which way was up.
It was only then that he finally understood. He slammed his hand on the table and staggered to his feet.
"Stella, you fucking played me! This pretty boy, you brought him here just to put on a show, didn’t you!"
Stella raised an eyebrow, neither confirming nor denying it, and happily high-fived Julian in celebration.
’This Julian Chandler... he had the face of a student, but he was a master at playing the wolf in sheep’s clothing.’
’The whole act before the game started—Julian had guided her through it.’
’When Julian handed her a drink, he had whispered, "Get Felix Hollis to play a drinking game. I’ll take care of him."’
Stella wiped the smile from her face. "Mr. Hollis, don’t tell me you’re a sore loser? You’ve had your drinks, and I’ve kept you company. I can leave now, can’t I?"
Felix Hollis was swaying on his feet and, before she knew it, had staggered right in front of her.
He suddenly grabbed Stella’s wrist and yanked her toward him.
"You fucking dare to play me!"
Just as Julian was about to intervene, Stella moved with lightning speed, shoving Felix Hollis down onto the marble table in the center of the room.
Stella planted one foot on the table and picked up an empty bottle with her free hand.
SMASH—
With a sharp crack, the bottle shattered, leaving only the jagged neck in Stella’s hand.
As shards of glass flew out, a piece grazed Felix Hollis’s face. He felt a sudden cold sting on his cheek, and when he reached up to touch it, his hand came away with blood.
"Stella, you fucking—"
His words died in his throat.
The jagged neck of the bottle was now only a centimeter from his eye.
Felix Hollis panicked, stammering, "Wh-what are you doing!"
Chase Sterling, realizing things had gone too far, shouted, "Stella! What are you doing! Put the bottle down!"
"Put it down? And then what? Let all of you watch him harass me? Felix Hollis, didn’t I tell you I was married? Since your parents never taught you any respect, how about I teach you a lesson? You’d better be careful. My hand isn’t very steady. If I accidentally poke out your eye, you can’t blame me. At this point, even if I ’accidentally’ hurt you, it would be self-defense. If you don’t want to get hurt, you’ll stay perfectly still!" 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
Felix Hollis didn’t dare to move. Sweat beaded on his forehead.
"Wh-what do you want?"
"You wanted to drink, didn’t you? Fine. Drink. Keep drinking. You stop when I say so."
When Owen Rhodes pushed the door open, the scene that greeted him was one of Stella Sterling at her most fiercely beautiful, in the middle of a stylishly violent confrontation.
