My Dragon King System-Chapter 354: My Half-Dragon Wives
In a courtyard within the palace of the dragon king...
On one side stood Uriel radiating an aura of absolute confidence.
On the opposite side was Arianna and Laela, both wearing light training garments that allowed for free movement.
Aiden walked towards a balcony overlooking the courtyard.
He had one palm laid out to the side, and above it was Tristan and Andrea floating gently in a circle as they suspended by his manipulation of gravity.
The babies laughed with delight as they orbited slowly above his palm, completely safe and entertained.
Aiden smiled at them before turning his attention downward to watch the training session about to unfold.
"Ladies, draw your weapons!" Uriel’s voice rang out while taking a stance herself.
Her legs came together as a rapier materialized in her right hand in a flash of golden light.
The slender blade gleamed brilliantly in the sunlight, with a hand guard that was carved beautifully.
Her left hand moved behind her back while the rapier rose with her right hand, angled upward at a precise forty-five degrees.
It was a a perfect stance that suggested proper control and precision.
Across from her, Arianna lifted a hand and removed the small pin that had been holding her black hair in place.
The dark strands fell freely around her shoulders as the pin began to extend until it formed into a full-length sword.
She had the sword’s size altered with her mass magic, so that it be used for other purposes.
This double-edge sword was called Eclipsar, the weapon Aiden had given her during the final battle against Malachar.
Beside her, a thick vine burst from the ground in front of Laela, growing upwards rapidly. It’s surface was covered in small thorns and when the vine reached its full height, it split open down the middle like a blooming flower.
From within emerged Laela’s spear, a weapon of elegant lethality with a broad leaf-shaped blade at its tip.
This was The Volestrum, which was also given to her by Aiden during that same fateful battle.
Both weapons were mythic-level artifacts by value and rarity.
But Uriel’s rapier? That was something else entirely. It was a Relic of the First Dawn, forged by one of the body parts of the First Creator.
"Now," Uriel continued calmly. "Call forth the power inside you."
Laela and Arianna exchanged a brief glance before closing their eyes and reaching inward.
The air around them began to distort in visible waves as their forms began changing. Small horns grew from the sides of their heads and tiny fangs extended from their canines.
Barely visible black scales had also appeared along their arms and necks in scattered patches.
In the first month after realizing they had both conceived Aiden’s children, they discovered that something about them had changed as well.
Carrying his offspring had altered their very genetics, infusing them with draconic essence that changed them fundamentally.
Laela was now half-elf and half-dragon.
Arianna on her part was half-human and half-dragon.
This granted them extreme heightened traits; enhanced strength, speed, heightened magical power and a few extra dragon perks.
This was all in addition to what they’d already gained through the Dragon’s Bond that elevated them beyond mortal limits.
When the transformation completed, both women opened their eyes. Their irises glowed faintly. Laela’s with a greenish hue, Arianna’s with purple light.
Then they took their fighting stances.
Laela held angled volestum outward and Arianna raised Eclipsar diagonally.
Uriel remained as she was, one arm behind her back and the rapier raised elegantly before her.
Then she said in a solemn voice:
"Come."
Both women lunged forward at once, closing the distance in less than a heartbeat. Arianna arrived first, swinging Eclipsar downward in a brutal overhead slash aimed directly at Uriel’s head.
The angel took one minimal step backward, while raising her rapier to meet the descending blade.
CLANG!
The collision caused a resounding shockwave that spread outward scattering dust.
But Uriel didn’t just block, she quickly redirected.
With a subtle rotation of her wrist, she angled Arianna’s descending blade away from its target. The sword’s momentum carried it downward to Uriel’s right side, missing her entirely.
While Arianna stumbled forward from the force of her own swing, now off-balance and exposed.
But Laela came in right on time to cover, from Uriel’s left flank with her spear thrusting forward like a viper’s strike, aimed directly at the angel’s ribs.
Uriel took another minimal step back, and angled her rapier downward to parry the spear’s tip away from her body.
CLANG!
Another shockwave pulsed outward as metal met metal.
Laela’s thrust was deflected low, but she didn’t stop. She pulled her spear back in one fluid motion and immediately thrust again, this time higher, aiming for Uriel’s shoulder.
Arianna recovered from her initial swing and attacked against simultaneously, slashing horizontally at Uriel’s midsection from the opposite side.
The angel moved so fluidly, leaning back just enough to let Arianna’s blade pass inches in front of her stomach, while simultaneously raising her rapier to parry Laela’s second thrust upward and away.
Uriel continued stepping backward, although not retreating out of fear. She was maintaining a calculated distance as each step placed her exactly where she needed to be to counter their next move.
The half dragon wives moved in perfect sync now.
Arianna swung her sword toward Uriel’s neck, but this was a feint meant to make the angel raise her guard with her sword.
So that the moment Uriel would block the sword, Laela would sweep her spear low at the angel’s legs
But Uriel didn’t take the bait.
Instead of raising her rapier to block Arianna’s feint, she simply tilted her head backwards again to let the blade pass in front of her face, while lifting one foot off the ground in the next instant.
With that, Laela’s sweeping spear passed beneath Uriel’s raised leg without making contact.
In the same motion, the angel brought her foot down hard onto Volestrum’s shaft, pinning it momentarily against the ground.
Laela’s eyes widened at that reaction.
Uriel then flicked her rapier forward in a lightning-fast thrust aimed directly at Laela’s exposed throat, but Arianna intercepted it just in time.
She swung her sword across horizontally to knock Uriel’s rapier off course with a resounding CLANG!
This cause a small shockwave burst from the parry, radiating outward several meters in every direction.
Taking that opportunity, Laela yanked her spear free from beneath Uriel’s foot and spun away, creating some distance while resetting her stance.
