My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 89: Live With Me
She woke up from the warmth of the sunlight brushing through her face. She still felt exhausted and her body ached all over. But unlike the pain from yesterday, she loved the feeling of her discomfort that morning.
She flashed a wide and sweet smile, remembering how Caden held her. She excitedly looked at the other side of the bed, but to her disappointment, he wasn’t there.
She flinched when she sat on the bed and felt a pain in her lower back. She looked around the bedroom, searching for Caden.
Her legs wobbled when she got out of bed and she almost fell on the floor.
"Caden?" She called out his name a few times, but he didn’t answer.
She decided to take a shower before going out of the room. Her eyes widened when she saw herself in the mirror. Her neck had kiss marks all over and even her chest. She giggled when an image of Caden sucking her neck flashed into her mind.
"You look stupid, Alira." She said to herself.
That would be Caden’s reaction if he saw her giggling and talking to herself. But speaking of her fiance, where did he go? She thought inwardly.
She took a quick shower and since she had no clothes in his suit, she wore one of his shirts. It looked oversized to her because of their height and body built differences.
Without anything underneath his shirt, she stepped out of the bedroom to look for Caden. She just let her hair down, serving as a cover to her breasts.
But she was in total shock and couldn’t make another step when she saw Caden’s men in the living room.
"Alira! What the hell?" Caden exclaimed when he rushed toward her to cover her body.
He turned to his men, checking every one of them to see if someone dared to look at his fiance. He then carried her back into the bedroom and gently put her on the bed.
"I called you a few times, but you didn’t answer. I have nothing to wear so I thought I could use your shirt. I didn’t know there were people outside." She explained even though he didn’t ask her.
Caden stared at her face, then moved his eyes to her breasts down to her legs. She bit her lip and slightly smiled when she saw lust in his eyes.
"You look so sexy. But next time, take a peek first before going out looking like that." He said.
She nodded. "I thought you left me."
"Why would I? I drained you so I wanted you to rest. I was discussing what happened to you to our men." He said.
The way he said the word ’our’ brought a little happiness to her. Caden was already considering her as a part of the clan and she was glad to know that.
Caden took a paper bag from the table and handed it to her.
"I called Azalea and asked them to deliver clothes for you. They already have your size so it was easy. I didn’t know what you like so I just told them to bring everything from their new collection." He said.
Azalea was the most expensive and most popular clothing store in Northbay. The designer and the owner was her mom’s eldest sister. Most of their clothes were made in that store so it’s normal for them to have her size.
"You should at least have made an effort and looked at their catalog to see what suits me." She pouted.
"Nah. Everything looks good on you. Even with just my shirt, you look so fucking sexy. Seeing you like that, I want to make love to you again." He said.
She giggled when she noticed a bulge in his pants.
"Your men are waiting for you. Go and finish your chat with them. I’ll fix myself and will come out after." She said.
He scratched his head and nodded. Just a few steps toward the door, he looked at her again. "Are you sure you don’t want me?"
She chuckled. "Of course, I want you. But I’m not comfortable knowing your men were just outside."
"Okay. I understand. Are you hungry? I haven’t had breakfast." He said.
"Do you have something in your fridge?" She asked.
"I think so."
"Then, I’ll prepare a meal for us." She smiled.
Caden’s eyes were full of excitement when he stepped out of the room. She prepared herself and wore a simple blue dress so she could move easily.
She was a bit shy when she greeted everyone in the living room. She rushed toward the kitchen and decided to cook for their breakfast. Caden said the men already had their meals before coming to the hotel, so she didn’t need to prepare food for them.
After half an hour, she was satisfied and prepared the table for her and Caden.
She peeked in the living room and saw Caden reading some documents. By the way he look, she knew those were reports from his men about Benjamin and the Trekker Clan.
But she could not allow him to starve himself because of work. She walked toward him and crossed her arms in front of him. The men glanced at each other and then looked at Caden. They were waiting for him to notice her and were interested to see his reaction.
He frowned when he noticed Alira’s legs. He tilted his head up and saw her.
"Breakfast." She simply said.
"Just a few more pages and I—"
"No. You have to eat first. How could you think wisely if your stomach is growling? You said you’re hungry, and I am too. I don’t want to have breakfast alone." She said with pleading eyes.
He chuckled and without a word, put the documents aside.
Then he turned to his men. "Take a quick break. I’ll have a meal with my wife."
The men’s faces lit up hearing the word break. Alira knew they were exhausted from working almost twenty-four hours a day. Having a quick short break was like heaven to them.
"So, what do we have here?" Caden asked when he sat on the chair.
"I made a frittata."
"A frittata?" He frowned.
She nodded. "Yes. It’s an Italian dish. An egg bake filled with veggies, herbs, and a bit of cheese."
She took one slice of frittata and put it on Caden’s plate. She stared at Caden when he tasted it.
"Wow! This is great! I like it." He said with a smile on his face.
"Really?"
He nodded. "Yes. I think I want to taste your meals every day."
"I would love to make food for you. That was the reason I learned how to cook. So I can prepare delicious meals for you." She exclaimed.
His heart skipped hearing it from Alira. She could really make his heart melt even in the smallest of things.
"I thought you were hungry. Let’s eat." He said.
It was their first breakfast alone. At Queen’s, they usually eat with Lucas and the others. So it was a very special moment for them.
"We should do this a lot." He said.
"You like it?"
He nodded. "Absolutely! Having meals together while chatting is a great idea. Normal couples do that."
They both knew they were not an ordinary couple. In their world, having a casual conversation was too informal.
"We can’t do this in Queen’s." She answered.
Caden took another bite of frittata and quickly swallowed it.
"Let’s stay here at least twice a week so we can do this." He suggested.
She was surprised. They were living in the same house, but her brother and other people were also there. Staying with him alone twice a week was like moving in with him.
"Are you having second thoughts?" He asked.
She shook her head. "It’s not like that. I-I was just thinking about what you said. Are you asking me to—"
"Live with me? Yes." He said in a firm tone.
She gulped. "C–Caden, this is— Are you sure?" She stuttered.
He gave her a reassuring smile. "Why do you have to ask? I’ve been one hundred percent sure since we were six. And besides, we’re still going to stay at Queen’s more often than here."
"I–I would love to. You already know my answer. But I still have to ask my parents and of course, Lucas." She said.
He took her hand. "Don’t worry. I’m not forcing you. I just want to stay with you in a small space. Queens is too big for us. And we’ll return to Flousia soon, we’ll both get busy."
She understood Caden’s feelings. Once they returned to Flousia, he would have to do his duties as the crown prince while she do her princess lessons.
"I’ll call them now." She said and took her phone.
Caden stared at her and waited as she talk to her parents.
"Yes, Dad. I think this will help us know each other better before getting married, right? And Caden said we’ll stay here only twice a week." She said.
After the call, she slowly put her phone down and sighed.
"Well? What did they say?" He asked.
