My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 665
Chapter 665
“I feel like a young man again, off to new adventures. The difference between my current situation and back then is, right now, I feel extremely powerful. I’ve already climbed down to the 16th floor of the dungeon alone,” Anton’s father said.
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
“I know my situation, son. The Paladin’s skills are extremely powerful. The healing skills can rival the most powerful healers.”
“What floor are you in with your team?”
“We’re currently on the 10th floor. My team members are starting to become extremely powerful. Everyone was now confident that they’re safe with me, since, as I’ve said, the healing abilities of the Paladin are truly something. Not only that, I can also empower my team so we can kill the dungeon monsters extremely fast. Because of that legendary spear, I can also cast my skills non-stop. The best part is that everyone on the team can do so. We plan to climb down on our next delve.”
“Please be very careful, Father.”
“I’m quite safe. Even if I’m in danger, the legendary armor that you gave me provides me with extremely robust defense and a skill that allows me to escape tricky situations, but honestly, I used it during battle and not to escape.”
Anders suddenly turned gloomy.
“I did have to kill one of my mercenaries.”
Anton was startled when his father said his last statement.
“What happened?”
“Gregor stole the Insight spear. He thought that the spells that I’ve been casting that came from my Paladin class came from the weapon. We captured him, and I decided to kill him since he truly betrayed the family,” Anders said grimly.
Anton thought that his father’s reaction was a little excessive, but more than likely, there was more to the situation, and he just let it be.
“When are you going to be able to bestow a class?” Anders asked.
Anton checked the ladder season schedule. The current season had already ended. He hoped that when the new season arrived, there would be a new update on his Diablo II system.
“In three months. Why?”
“I’m thinking that instead of the Sorceress, your sister should choose another class like the Druid, since it also has powerful elemental skills. The best part about the Druid is the summons. Her vacation should coincide with the time that you’re able to bestow a class.”
Anton shrugged and told his father that it would be Anna’s decision.
“I thought you were tired of Paladin and would claim the next class bestowal.”
“I did think of that. I've been reading the guides you provided, and some of the classes are truly interesting. I like the Paladin class, though, and will probably stick with it.”

“What about your gears? Do you need more powerful items?” Anton asked.
“I thought I was fully geared already?”
“Far from it. You need a powerful headgear, belt, boots, gloves, a couple of rings, and an amulet.”
“Why two rings? Why not ten rings?” Anton’s father asked.
“The limit is two rings. It’s just the way it is. After all of that, you can still benefit from what I call charms and tokens,” Anton said and showed the charms to his father using the globe of browser sharing.
“Unfortunately, I can only conjure up to 21 legendary items per year, and not all at once, since each one will take considerable time to produce. Because of the length of time needed, I may not even complete the 21 pieces.”
“Too bad. Can you show me some more Paladin gameplay videos? Choose those that contain difficult fights like boss fights.”
“Sure, but please remember that the game fights are extremely different,” Anton said pointedly.
“Of course, I know that! I just want to find some inspiration,” Anton’s father said, so he showed Anders some gameplay videos from the most famous video streaming site.
Anton thought that he would only stay at the manor for a short time, but his stay lasted longer since his father wanted to watch more videos. He actually did not mind since he wanted to worry his four apprentices, slash new hires, into thinking that he did not care about them anymore, so they would respect him more. He did not want to scold them or anything like that since such behavior was not in him.
More than likely, without him there, the four young men would realize that without Anton’s Meditation Aura, their rate of memorizing spells would severely slow down.
While they were watching gameplay videos, Anders told Anton that his mercenaries had formally written contracts to be part of their family as protectors and guards. Every member who had a brain realized how large an advantage they had been receiving by associating with Anders, since not only was his father able to provide powerful healing, but he was also able to allow them to grow in skill faster than normal when it came to their classes.
Not only that, the deep floor of the high-level dungeon provided them with such a large bounty that each member was now starting to save coins in hopes of becoming wealthy enough to find themselves a partner so they could form a family of their own.
“Oh, remember to give new movies to your aunt,” Anders said, talking about Romina.
“I thought I’d given her enough movies to last for more than a couple of years?”
“You did? I think I remember Romina telling me that she planned to increase the number of theaters or something of that sort. I’m not focused on that since my attention is solely on the growth of my personal strength instead of the manner. I’m starting to feel guilty for throwing all of the responsibilities to Raymond, Romina, Bruce, and Sarah.”
“It’s just the way it is, and I think they would have to accept that since the only way to truly protect the family is if someone is powerful enough to do so, and with you becoming powerful, everyone will feel safe,” Anton said.
Anton only returned to his room in New Drennor when it was already the wee hours of the morning.
The next day, when Anton left his room, Kirk, Mesono, Omar, and Abdul looked relieved.
“I thought you’d left us,” Kirk said, and Anton almost laughed out loud when he saw that the four had teary eyes.
Anton just rolled his eyes and told everyone that he would not do something like that since his family needed wizards. Abdul went forward and apologized and promised Anton that he would be respectful from then on. Anton simply nodded.
“I still plan to move alone today, so just stay here and strive to increase your mana capacity so you can start memorizing your third novice spell. Did you notice anything different when I was not near while memorizing your spells?” Anton asked.
“Yes! It’s extremely slow! Like a tenth of the previous speed that we had,” Mesono said.
“That’s still above the normal rate you all should be able to memorize your spells since the suite is filled with mana from the Mirror Power Bank. I think I told you before that I have a spell that allowed me to emit an aura that would hasten the memorization rate of the wizards who are near me, that I allowed to be affected by that spell,” Anton said, and the four nodded.
“Go tell Ishmael and Tess that we’ll be watching a movie in a couple of hours,” Anton added.
Omar and Abdul rushed outside to inform the innkeeper and Tess, while Kirk and Mesono remained and started memorizing their spells. Anton returned to his suite, started hunting charms again, and gathered items that he could use to craft powerful items. He had also started collecting a specific set of items for each of his Diablo II characters.
