My Favorite Game Followed Me!-Chapter 759
Chapter 759
Anton was still stuck in place in the middle of a blizzard, and he did not know when it would stop, so he prepared himself to hunker down in his tiny house. He was not worried or anything like that. He had a massive amount of resources in his inventory, and he had access to Earth’s internet. If worst comes to worst, he could use a town portal scroll to return to the Rose Manor.
After reviewing all the skills that he focused on all of his Diablo II characters, except for the new Warlock class, since he still did not know which of the characters’ skills would best assist him in real life, he turned his attention to his gear.
Ever since he had started playing Diablo II and it had become his favorite game, he had always preferred the Sorceress above all. Even when reading fantasy novels, he preferred that the protagonist be a magic wielder. That was the reason his gear focused on empowering the Sorceress's skills.
He had been playing Diablo II inside his Diablo System for a long time and had managed to collect the best gear with the best stats and options. The main difference was that in the game on Earth, one of the priorities was Faster Cast Rate, but since he would be casting his spells in real life, that stat was not needed.
For his main hand, he was using the Oculus Swirling Crystal. He needed the increase in Vitality and Energy, and for some reason, the Magic Find stat worked on the dungeons of this world. For his shield hand, Anton was still using the Spirit Shield. For body armor, he was using Chains of Honor. For Helm, he was using Harlequin Crest, again because of the addition to life and mana. For the belt, he was using Arachnid Mesh. For the boots, he was using the Sandstorm Treks Scarabshell boots. For the gloves, he was using Magefist.
For his accessories, he was using Mara’s Kaleidoscope Amulet, and for the ring slots, Anton was still using two Stone of Jordans. For unique charms, Anton was carrying the Annihilus, Gheed’s Fortune, and Hellfire Torch, and a bunch of Grand Charms that had plus to Cold Skills and Life, Small Charms that had plus to life and resistances. Weirdly, the total number of charms he could use was the same as it was in the game, even though his inventory was much larger than the one in the game. Any more than that, the charms that were supposed to not fit in the inventory in-game, following the Diablo II game rules on Earth, would lose their effects.
Anton was a little bummed about that, since he thought he had found a way to increase his power through charms, given that his inventory space was massive. The good thing about his gear was that all of them had the best stats and options possible since he had been farming them for quite some time.
He had also collected the best melee gear in case he needed to switch to becoming a melee warrior, but so far, there was never any need for him to do something like that, aside from that one time in that small kingdom between Ormunda and New Drennor that fell, wherein he switched to melee attacks to not harm allies while fighting the undead.
In actuality, Anton became a bit of a hoarder. He had been collecting the best items inside his Diablo II system even though he didn’t currently have any use for them. As long as they had the best stats, he would hoard them, thinking that there might come a time when he would need them.
After reviewing his skills and gears, Anton returned to reading his Array Books. He wanted to really learn the skills so he could start his project of creating beautiful gardens stuck in his preferred seasons permanently, just like some of the gardens in the forest elves’ kingdom. If he gets hungry, he would eat; if he feels sleepy, he would sleep. After a day, the snowfall finally stopped.
The blizzard lasted for three days. Anton dug himself out, stored his tiny house in his inventory, and started flying north again. After a few hours, Anton realized that he was now truly deep inside the northern forest. According to the elves, this was where true danger lies because in the forest depths lived powerful monsters.
Anton actually felt the aura of the powerful monsters. He summoned all of his Ravens to use as scouts and all of his Spirit Wolves as bodyguards. He didn’t mind the aura of danger. It only made his journey more exciting.
He was still flying leisurely, inspecting everything that caught his interest, but if he was being honest, his interest was waning simply because of the fact that everything was now covered in snow.
After three more days of traveling, Anton received his first attack from high-level monsters that live deep within the Northern Forest. It was a web attack from giant, white spiders. Because of the snow, it was very difficult to see them. Thankfully, he noticed the attack because the first ones who got hit were two of his Spirit Wolves.
Anton simply teleported out of the way of the web attack. If he had been hit, Anton would have been stuck inside thick, sticky webbing plastered on a tree. He summoned all of his powerful summons. His Valkyrie from the Amazon skill tree, the Shadow Master and Shadow Warrior from the Assassin skill tree, his Necromancer’s Clay Golem, and all of his summons under the Druid character. He summoned them because he saw that there were tons of spiders, and he could not see all of them due to their color.
He didn’t know if the spiders were monsters or beasts. What he knew was that monsters had mana stones inside of them, and beasts were just basically regular beasts who grew larger simply because they had survived.
The fight started, and after watching his summons battle the spiders, he confirmed that they were monsters because the spiders had magic.
Anton was surprised at how powerful and resilient the white spiders were. After ten minutes of his summons battling with the spiders, he joined in since it was taking his summons too long. He started bombarding every monster that he could see with the Frozen Orb spell. Soon, the part of the forest where they were battling with the spiders was devastated by the battle. After all the spiders that attacked him were killed, he commanded his summons to dig out the mana stones and was not surprised that a few of them were high-level mana stones and the rest were medium-level mana stones. That meant that the spiders were truly high-level monsters.
Looking at the devastated area of the forest, Anton felt a little sad. He hoped that he didn’t accidentally kill any regular animals, but based on a cursory inspection, he did kill some hibernating animals. He decided to move on and not linger in the forest anymore. He dismissed all of his summons except the Ravens, flew high in the sky, and flew as fast as he could to the north. If he continued traveling inside the forest at the pace that he had, he was sure that monsters would keep attacking him, and the northern forest would be devastated.
Anton had decided that once he reached Enundia, he would pause his journey. He thought that it would be better for him to continue once the weather was fair, since it would allow him to see more interesting things if the world was not covered in white.
