My Girlfriend is Famous Singer-Chapter 1: A Beautiful Woman at Bar
Chapter 1: A Beautiful Woman at Bar
Ronan sat at the bar, drinking wine and feeling sad. He had been doing okay in life—not rich or famous, but earning decent money and building something for himself. Then he died. Yes, he died.
He had always thought he'd become successful in the next ten years, maybe even a big shot. But he died before he could achieve his dreams.
"This world sucks," he muttered, switching from wine to beer and taking a sip.
If he was dead, though, how was he sitting in a bar, drinking beer? Around him, people—alive, happy humans—danced and laughed, enjoying their night.
It was because he had been reborn. Yes, reborn into a 22-year-old body.
This should have been a good thing. He was young again, full of potential, with endless opportunities ahead. Plus, he had knowledge from his past life. Shouldn't he be happy? So why was he sad?
The reason was simple: this wasn't Earth. It was a new world, one that looked a little like Earth but was completely different. The countries, continents, history—everything had new names and new rules. All the knowledge he had from his old life was useless here. That's why he felt sad. All the hard work he'd put in before was gone, wasted.
He sighed heavily and stared at the bar counter, feeling disconnected from everyone around him. They belonged here, living their normal lives. He didn't. He sighed again.

Then he noticed a woman. Something about her caught his eye instantly. She wore a long white dress that covered her from neck to ankle. It wasn't tight, so he couldn't tell much about her figure, except for the slight curve around her chest. She had light brown skin and black hair tied in a messy bun, with a few strands falling against her cheeks. She sipped her wine slowly.
When he saw her face, he froze. She was stunning—clear eyes, a small nose, and full lips that touched the edge of her glass as she drank. The way she swallowed the wine was oddly beautiful to him.
Ronan didn't plan to approach her, though. He stayed where he was, sipping his wine. He wasn't confident enough to talk to her. Every now and then, he glanced at her and saw her turn away every guy who tried to hit on her. She didn't even look at them.
After a while, the wine gave him a little courage. He decided to try talking to her. The worst that could happen was rejection, just like the others. That wouldn't be so bad. So he stood up, pulled out his phone, and opened the camera to check his reflection.
He was good-looking. His fair skin, clean-shaven face, blue eyes, and messy red hair made him stand out. He had to admit, this new body was way more handsome than his old one from his past life.
He glanced down at his clothes—a shirt with rolled-up sleeves and plain jeans. Decent enough. With a deep breath, he walked toward her.
She glanced at him with one eye as he approached. He stopped, his mind blank. What was he supposed to say? "Want a drink?" "Hey babe, you look beautiful?" "Nice weather, huh?" No, that last one was stupid—who talks about weather in a bar?
He'd never done this before—talking to a girl, especially one this beautiful. Nervous, he rubbed his forearm with his other hand and stammered, "Um... I... Would you like to drink with me?"
He cringed inside. That was awful. She'd reject him for sure. He could already hear her saying, "No, I like being alone."
Or maybe she did want to be alone. That could be why she came here—to sit quietly with the bar noise in the background. If that was true, her rejection wouldn't be about him. That thought calmed him down a little.
"Sure. You can sit beside me," she said.
"Yeah, sorry," Ronan mumbled, nodding. Then he froze. "What?" He stared at her, wide-eyed.
"What?" she asked, tilting her head to face him fully.
"I mean... nothing. I can sit here?" He pointed at the empty stool next to her.
She nodded.
It felt unreal, but he sat down beside her. He ordered another wine, and then... silence. He had no idea what to say. He hadn't expected her to agree. He hadn't planned this far.
The quiet grew awkward. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. "Um... my name's Ronan. What's yours?"
"Xyaa," she said, sipping her wine. "You're really nervous. Is this your first time talking to a girl?"
Ronan felt his face heat up. He nodded awkwardly. "I wasn't expecting you to say yes. I saw you reject everyone else. I thought you'd do the same to me. That's why I came over."
"Oh, so you wanted me to reject you?" Xyaa asked with a small smile.
That smile hit him hard. She looked even more beautiful up close.
"No! No, not at all," Ronan said, shaking his head. "It's..." He didn't know how to explain himself.
Xyaa chuckled softly.
