My Goddess is Good at Pretending-Chapter 645: A New Space Merchant
After listening to Haldeall’s merchant journey, Elysia seemed to understand the feeling. She also started her career in her previous life as a small trader and built it for years until she owned a company.
"I see... So, you are a middle-class merchant fleet on a secret mission now. Seeing how the pirates are waiting for you, I think they have been targeting you from the start." Elena tapped the table.
"That’s still hard for us. We don’t know where the information leaked to those pirates." Haldeall sighed.
"If it’s not from your client’s side, then it’s from your crew. There might be a mole infiltrating your group." Elysia glanced at the aliens in the distance, hinting about the clue.
"We’ll look into it at the Chomik 90 Plane." Haldeall had his own suspicions, and he would surely check his entire crew immediately.
"Is it fun, being a space merchant? You literally became half mercenary at this rate." Elysia crossed her arms as she had to put the matter forward.
"It’s not a fun matter, but the way for us to live."
"Is that so? Can you do us a favor? We need to create a new merchant identity."
The source of this c𝐨ntent is freeweɓnovēl.coɱ.
"Sure, that’s the thing, eh?"
Elysia stated her request, and Haldeall was stunned when he realized what his savior was asking.
"Is there a specific reason you want to create a merchant identity?" Haldeall cleared his throat.
"We are currently under the guise of anonymity. For some reason, we need another identity so we don’t have to reveal our real identity. The one who saved you is not us, but the Guardian of Dream Merchant Fleet, alright?" Elysia pointed at the captured pirates in a special cargo prison. They would claim some bounty rewards for capturing them alive.
"I see! Alright, we’ll help you to register as a new merchant fleet." Haldeall finally understood the meaning behind the request. He readily agreed, happy to help.
"We’ve arrived at Planet Chomik 90. Help us with the registration, and you can go to your delivery mission afterward." Elysia looked aside and nodded in response to Xentia’s signal.
"That was fast..." Haldeall was amazed. It only took a few minutes and they had arrived.
Haldeall and his aides then expressed their gratitude once more before returning to their spaceships.
For this matter, Xentia sent a high-tier battleship to go with the Kraken Thistle Merchant Fleet to visit the Chomik 90. However, Elysia only sent Zera as their proxy to register their fleet as a new merchant.
"Zera, that planet is a bit unlawful, so it’s okay to be a little rough." Elysia held Zera’s arms, briefing the task ahead.
"Please rest assured master. I will complete this task without fail." Zera nodded in understanding. She then boarded the high-tier battleship, flying at the last in line to follow the merchant fleet.
"She is doing a solo mission in the social ecosystem. Will that be okay?" Elena felt a little worried.
Truth be told, Zera never once received a task to deal with people, let alone paperwork. However, Elysia sent Zera for this matter.
"It’s okay. Zera is the best suited for this task. There are many thugs, and she can do whatever she sees fit. Our Executioner will do the task fine." Elysia put her hands together, trusting Zera.
"She is an Executioner? You take the same term as the one on Earth, hmm." Elena took off her helmet and flicked her long golden hair.
"Xen, do you know our current location?" Elysia checked the universe map in their database, but they had not done a proper mapping for this galaxy.
"We are in the eighth galaxy from the higher universe boundary. This is the same space realm as Vrelenia." Xentia showed her master their rough location using the virtual screen.
"So, we are between Vrelenia and Quadtria, huh. Aegis Intergalactic Empire... this kind of civilization has existed and developed for tens of thousands of years. I really want to know who founded this sophisticated civilization. Aegis’s central mind is located in the Imperial Palace, our next destination." Elysia tapped her cheek as she stared at the turquoise planet in the distance.
"Yes, master." Xentia nodded in agreement. She was also intrigued and wished to learn a few things from her predecessor.
She and Aegis had so much resemblance with their own super artificial intelligence system, but she lost in many aspects because Aegis already existed far longer than her.
While waiting, Xentia dispatched thousands of robots to dismantle the pirate’s spaceships, unloading the loot they had acquired. Unfortunately, only a few could be considered useful, and the rest were simply thrown into the scrap heap.
Since Zera would take a while, Elysia gathered with her family members, disciples, and representative elders for an experience sharing. It was their first official battle in outer space, and she wished to know their impressions.
---
Chomik 90, a turquoise planet no more than half the size of Earth, but inhabited by more than ten billion humanoid creatures, the alien people.
The sight was relatively the same as civilizations in sci-fi stories, a world with many tall buildings, flying cars, and cyber technology everywhere.
The Kraken Thistle Merchant Fleet led the way to the Merchant Union, escorting an important guest.
"..." Zera narrowed her eyes as she saw this world was filled with many desperate, poor, and starving creatures. The crime rate had clearly skyrocketed, and she was sure it would be easy to find thugs and bad guys courting death.
"Let’s see who dares to mess with me. I don’t mind killing some death seekers on this unlawful planet." Zera faintly smirked like a cold psychopath, understanding her master’s intention.
A few moments later, they arrived at the Merchant Union in the center of the main government city. Zera did not have to do anything and the spaceship docked automatically as it was controlled by Xentia remotely.
She warped to the exit and walked out of the spaceship casually, meeting the blue octopus man.
"You need to pay toll fees!" A thug voiced his anger loudly, followed by his henchmen’s demands.
"This is not the first time we have been here, and merchants are exempted from tolls on every visit to the Merchant Union. Who are you to make your own rules? Do you want to oppose the Merchant Union?" The Kraken Thistle’s spokesperson emphasized his stance, refusing to pay the extortion.
"If you don’t want to pay, then don’t blame us if something happens to your broken spaceships. Let’s go to that nice spaceship. That one should be pretty rich, unlike these poor bums." The thug leader snorted sarcastically as he walked away with his henchmen.
Yet, they soon stopped as they caught the sight of a rare beauty. It was a human-like lady with fair skin, a beautiful visage, and a sexy body. While they were bewitched and amazed, appreciating the beauty, Zera was already approaching. She kicked the thugs high into the sky with a dark wave without a shred of consideration.
"You’re in my way." Zera spoke coldly. Unfortunately, the thugs had already been blown away, flying like shooting stars with screams that were swallowed by the wind.
"!!!" Haldeall and his crew gasped, not expecting the messenger their savior sent would be this straightforward. However, she was so powerful. Despite not knowing what she said, they were sure she condemned the thugs.
"..." Zera was aware there was a language barrier. Her master had yet to add the new language to the Elysium Channel, and she had to use the telepathic technique to communicate with them. "Lead the way."
"Alright, please follow me, miss. We’re currently at the Merchant Union’s branch. This world’s society is pretty rough, but there are still rules." Haldeall led the way politely.
He would surely address those thugs’ provocations behind the scenes later, but the savior representative had handled those thugs well, and it gained his appreciation.
"..." Zera remained silent and followed the blue octopus man in silence.
The ones who would enter the Merchant Union’s main building were just the two of them, and they went directly to the private chamber for a VIP registration.
After following all the procedures, Zera felt the receptionist made it difficult for her. Therefore, she chose a shortcut to get rid of unnecessary things.
"Make it fast. I want this done in less than ten minutes. I don’t care what it takes for it. Name the price and you shall have it." Zera pressed the receptionist to work quickly. She casually leaked her intimidating aura, scaring the receptionist who couldn’t go anywhere before her request was done.
"Y-yes, ma’am! I’m just doing my job! I’ll do it, but please spare me and retract your aura!" The receptionist felt like crying. She was terrified because this dark lady exuded an intimidating aura that was equal to or stronger than the strongest combatant she had ever encountered.
She didn’t know why this kind of unreasonable, powerful lady would come to create a merchant group, but she wasn’t in a position to ask. She could only carry out the request as asked, or she felt she would bid her head goodbye. However, the dark lady did not give her enough information for registration!
"Ha ha ha! It’s good to be young. However, miss, even if you are a secret expert or some arrogant noble, please pay attention to your attitude in other’s domain." An old man with a brown stone-like body entered the room with a burst of amiable laughter, but his expression said otherwise.
He already heard the crux of the matter from Haldeall, but he felt a little depressed when he saw the proxy lady in person. His aura got overpowered, and he failed to neutralize her intimidating aura.
"I’ll spare you just this once. Don’t make me wait for long, including you." Zera retracted her aura, pointing to the troubled receptionist and the newly arrived stone man.
"Yes-yes, according to your wish, miss. It will take a few minutes for Kenny to finish her job. Would you be so kind as to have a cup of tea and have a little chat with this old man?" The stone man sat in the living room, pouring tea for himself and his guest.
