My Goddess is Good at Pretending-Chapter 655: Mech Team Battle
The 5th, 6th, and 10th princes arrived at the Stellar Arena. Still, they separated themselves from the 12th princess who got included in this matter.
Regardless of what, they wouldn’t let the 12th princess get a piece of cake from this.
"Princess Euphemia..." Euphemia’s assistant called out, but she didn’t dare to say anything beyond her boundary, much less convince the princess to back down.
"Fret not, Cindy. There is no way that merchant can beat me, especially with those fools in the front row. They can have what they want, but my family heirloom must return to my hands." Euphemia clenched her fists.
Before coming here, they reminded her sternly that she could not obtain anything from this, so she shouldn’t covet anything. They allowed her to team up with them only after she agreed to that but under one condition: Her family heirloom should return to her.
Those three princes schemed everything, planning to make the Guardian of Dream suffer a huge loss. They took advantage of the representative lady’s arrogance to speed things up, and what would follow was clearly a plundering. They wanted to obtain those expensive highest-quality items for free.
As for the Guardian of Dream’s secret backer, those three princes might do something to squeeze dry anyone who challenged them. Moreover, this one was a fat sheep. Regardless, she also wished to teach this arrogant merchant a lesson, no matter whether the leader was a daughter of a Duke Family or not.
The three princes were pretty cunning to limit the duel to a four versus four mech battle, not the brawl or fleet war, considering that the Guardian of Dream had just purchased two tier-9 spaceships, the Stellar Monarch and the Quantum Wraith.
It would be a losing battle even with their combined forces, but as for the mechs, the newly purchased machines couldn’t enter any legal event for seven days after purchase. So, the newly purchased tier-9 mechs also couldn’t be used for this sacred duel. Unless the Guardian of Dream already possessed at least four tier-7 mechs, there was no way this merchant could rival the imperial descendants, let alone defeat them.
"The duel is almost here, but where did they go? Don’t tell me they ran away due to fear?" Cedric looked around, searching for the Guardian of Dream Merchant Group’s whereabouts.
"It’s even better. We can justifiably hunt them down and capture them, confiscating everything." Althar crossed his arms, not too worried.
"He-hee... they are a beauty gang. How dare they seize my Night Witch. I’ll make them grovel under me. Taming the all high and mighty women with lightning rods will be exciting, keke. I shall make them my btches." Lucien mumbled with a low whisper, devising a scenario to punish and discipline those arrogant women.
"..." Althar and Cedric could faintly hear what Lucien said. The 10th prince was a notorious lecher beyond saving.
"He is a lost cause beyond redemption. If it weren’t for the big cake, I would never want to associate with him." Cedric pursed his lips, feeling a little disgusted.
"I heard he has an infectious disease." Althar covered his mouth, whispering softly.
"It’s terrible..." Cedric flinched a little and quickly moved to a safe distance.
A few moments later, the appointed time for the sacred duel finally arrived. Four imperial descendants entered the grand arena floor clad in their respective exclusive combat suits.
Their mechs were stationed in their private encrypted void, awaiting their summons. However, their opponents still hadn’t arrived!
"The hell? Are they too late or have they already fled?" Euphemia felt annoyed, feeling this merchant was underestimating the imperial family too much.
"We’ve been here for quite some time actually, listening to all the ridiculousness of your little schemes. You even defamed us. We’ll whip your asses good." Elysia spoke up from the imperial seat’s back row.
The nearby VIPs, including the princes and princesses, were shocked beyond measure. They and the guards couldn’t even detect an imposter among them! The lady who was at odds with the 5th, 6th, and 10th princes was behind them all along. If she desired to harm them... it would be very disastrous.
"Let’s meet them." Elysia moved her finger, inviting Yuuki, Morfina, and Meiying to fly to the arena floor with her.
She honestly felt a bit irritated, but she took it for granted because her opponents were just spoiled brats, unaware of things.
"Yes, master." Yuuki, Morfina, and Meiying replied in unison and immediately followed Elysia closely behind.
"A noble high-elf and an exotic nine-tailed white fox?" Persephone widened her eyes when the challenged party came down to the arena floor.
As for the one who led the team, it was a young lady with an angelic appearance. It was hard to believe her siblings tried to harm such a tender, graceful young lady only for personal benefit.
"I see, you didn’t run away. It would actually be more interesting if you did, though, keke." Lucien smirked and licked his lips, staring at the newly arrived beauties like delicious food served before him.
"Can I handle him? I want to beat that smug expression out of his face." Morfina felt incredibly irritated just by looking at that lecher prince’s face and attitude.
"How bold of you, rebellious elf. Are you craving my rod so much? Come to me and I will discipline you well." Lucien squinted his eyes, aiming at the elf as his first prey.
"Sure. Yuuki and Mei will handle the other princes. I’ll handle the princess because she has a personal grudge against me." Elysia nodded at Morfina’s request.
"Heh, are they your best fighters? You better come with the best fighters or you’ll lose miserably and suffer a great loss." Euphemia’s lips twitched, feeling offended. She didn’t wish to end up like this even though she initially wanted to bully this arrogant merchant, but the other party kept taunting her.
"You don’t stand a chance if I bring my best fighters. We don’t have all the time to accompany you. Let’s end this conversation, and begin the duel." Elysia stared at the three princes as if it was she who was challenging them.
"Let’s see how long you can maintain that arrogant attitude, cheeky girl. You are merely a small princess from the remote plane, unaware of the greater might of imperial descendants." Cedric snorted sarcastically.
"You should be concerned about your future..." Elysia sighed and shook her head.
Since the two parties were already on the sacred arena floor, the duel could finally be announced.
The Aegis System would be the one to oversee the overall situation as the judge and referee. A grand screen emerged above the arena floor, displaying information about the duel. A robotic voice then read out the details.
"The Sacred Duel of the Stellar Arena shall commence. The duel to resolve all the grudges and grievances. With this, both parties agreed to heed the rules. On the challenger’s side, the 5th imperial prince, Althar von Aegis, the 6th imperial prince, Cedric von Aegis, the 10th imperial prince Lucien von Aegis, and the 12th imperial princess, Euphemia von Aegis."
"The imperial descendant team demands the Guardian of Dream to follow the procedures and directives to explain the suspicious source of funds. All purchased items will be confiscated until further notice. The Guardian of Dream’s side expresses firm objection, and henceforth, the duel is issued."
"On the challenged side, the Guardian of Dream Merchant Group’s leader, El, and her three aides, nine-tailed fox, Yuuki, high-elf, Morfina, and frozen cloud cultivator, Meiying. They demand to clear their good names and the four imperial descendants to compensate them for this unilateral oppression and intimidation. They will still explain their source of funds regardless of the outcome."
"Mech duel, four versus four. Please be prepared for a spatial warp to the Stellar Domain. Prepare your mechs. The spatial warp will occur in a minute."
"They are not the least bit afraid even though they need to fight four imperial descendants." The crown prince was taken aback.
He knew his juniors caused yet another trouble, but he did not expect this merchant to be so fearless in front of the imperial family even though it was in the imperial domain. If it were the other merchants, even the other Duke-class, they would shallow their grievances and follow the imperial descendant’s demand even though they had to suffer a loss.
"Don’t surrender too soon, beauties. Come forth, Imperio!" Lucien flicked his fingers, calling forth his exclusive mech from his encrypted void.
"Andromeda, answer my call."
"Purge all challengers, Albatron, emerge."
Althar and Cedric summoned their exclusive mech in turn.
Three large void rifts emerged behind the three princes, revealing three fierce-looking tier-7 imperial mechs.
"Don’t disappoint me. It will be me who will teach you a lesson. You should kowtow and apologize to me, and also return my family heirloom." Euphemia smirked and then summoned her mech as well. "Unicorn, come before me."
A bluish-white mech emerged from the void, and she immediately flapped her wings to board her mech.
"Hmm..." Elysia observed her opponents. It was only four tier-7 mechs that were probably on the same level as VIP mechs. The exclusive mechs were more powerful because they could be compared to tier-8 and tier-9 mechs, depending on the pilot. So, Meiying would be the only one who would have a hard time because the enemies were equal.
"Proceed with care as planned." Elysia put her hand on Meiying’s shoulder.
"Meiying understands." Meiying nodded in understanding. She felt honored Sacred Sakura Goddess called her by a nickname, but she still couldn’t get used to it because it sounded like someone else’s name, not hers.
*Zap*
The spatial warp occurred, bringing everyone standing on the arena floor to the battle arena in the spatial domain. The previous arena that was no more than 200 meters wide instantly vanished, replaced by an arena in outer space with a barrier boundary and more than 2 kilometers wide.
Even though the battleground had changed, the audience in the Stellar Arena could still watch everything that happened through a spherical hologram that covered the entire arena floor. It resembled a bubble world for them to see.
"Hey, didn’t the judge warn you to board your mechs immediately!? Do you want to fight with just your bare hands? Summon your mechs now." Euphemia shouted out loud.

"Sorry. Please pardon us." Elysia raised her hand, and a spatial rift occurred as she summoned her team’s mechs.
