My Goddess is Good at Pretending-Chapter 657: Bad Parenting
In those three minutes, Elysia and her team only focused on defense, but they would occasionally counterattack. Unfortunately, four tier-7 mechs could never overpower them. Those princes couldn’t even get past Yuuki, Morfina, and Meiying’s defenses. Not even the strongest attacks could knock down their shields, much less leave a scratch to their mechs.
After the three minutes passed, Yuuki and Morfina led the charge, assisted by Meiying from behind. They defeated the three princes with a one-fell-swoop offensive formation, ensuring the opponents suffered a crushing defeat.
As for Euphemia, Elysia tested her mech’s close combat prowess and amplified magic during those three minutes. She did receive all of Euphemia’s attacks. Unfortunately, it just looked like an adult receiving countless harmless beatings from a baby.
Once the three minutes passed, she bonked Euphemia’s mech with her magic staff to shatter the force field. Then she cast an energy disturbance, ensuring Euphemia’s mech would malfunction and fall into emergency shutdown.
"Ugh, damn you. You’re not getting away with this." Euphemia groaned in pain. The last hit truly put her resistance down to zero. Her energy got drained, but she could do nothing about it. She couldn’t land any hit, and with no mech, she had no power to fight back.
"Have you ever wondered why we dare to fight you even though you try to intimidate us with your imperial descendant status?" Elysia flew out of her mech, floating down and landing on Euphemia’s mech.
"That’s because we’re not afraid of you. Your royal father won’t save you, but be grateful because we’re merciful." Elysia whispered as she entered the mech directly to the cockpit.
"You, how did you come in here like a ghost?!" Euphemia yelped in shock and fear. She paled and trembled slightly, afraid of what was happening.
"Fufu, whether I’m a ghost or not, it doesn’t matter. But, the bad girl should be punished." Elysia checked whether they were in any preaching eyes or not. After ensuring it, she cast a barrier and unbuckled Euphemia’s seatbelt. After that, she summoned a thick rubber slipper and gave the bad girl a good spanking as a lesson.
"Aaah! How dare you. Aah!~ stop, aah! Not even, ugh! Please don’t spank me anymore..." Euphemia pleaded with teary eyes. She couldn’t resist it, it was stinging, and it was so shameful.
"I wonder which one of you said there is a sky above the sky? That also applies to you. Also, we’re a merchant. If you have any business with us, we can always talk about it. We don’t even know what you are looking for. If you truly wish to retrieve it, come with us later." Elysia wiped her hand, feeling satisfied after she taught a bully a lesson.

She turned around, leaving her words behind before vanishing. "Worry not as your spanking lesson is known by nobody other than my people."
"Hateful..." Euphemia gritted her teeth with a flushed face and teary eyes. She rubbed her buttocks, trying to ease the pain.
Once the battle concluded, Elysia put her mech back into the void, and so did Yuuki, Morfina, and Meiying. A moment later, the Stellar Domain collapsed and everyone was transported back to the Stellar Arena.
The four imperial mechs fell to the ground, three were heavily damaged, and four imperial descendants crawled out of their cockpits.
"Attention. The sacred duel has concluded. After careful analysis of the final exchange and combat data... victory is awarded to the Guardian of Dream Merchant Group. The imperial descendant team has been defeated. As per the agreement, the Guardian of Dream should explain the clarity of their funding source. The defeated side is required to clear out the Guardian of Dream’s name and pay compensation for the losses the Guardian of Dream suffered."
The robotic referee’s voice echoed through the arena, announcing the result of the duel.
"Damn it! Why your power output can’t even deal any proper damage to those mechs?! You are on par with them." Lucien kicked his mech, blaming his defeat on his machine.
The colossus was busy dealing with Euphemia, but he couldn’t even handle those three mechs despite having similar combat power. Once the opponents made a move, those three took them one by one, and his team lost less than a minute after the three-minute head start passed.
"This... has turned into a difficult situation." Cedric mocked himself. Despite his loss, he still had a backup plan. This merchant harmed the royalties and he would make things difficult. He would obtain what he wanted for sure, and those beauties would suffer sooner or later. Those girls could celebrate their victory, but it wouldn’t be for long.
"Ugh..." Althar leaned against his broken mech, holding his fractured arm. He couldn’t think about anything else at the moment because the pain was still there even though he had injected a first aid med.
"..." Euphemia remained silent, standing awkwardly as the burning sensation was still stung on her bottom.
When she looked at the three princes, she could say that she only suffered a little compared to them. Her mech’s system was only malfunctioning due to that strange energy disturbance, but her mech was still intact, while those princes got their mechs badly damaged. Aside from her depleted energy, the only thing that stung her was the shameful spanking...
And yet, she still had to compensate for the so-called damage when the merchant side actually suffered nothing besides the accusations from the three princes.
"We won’t make things difficult for you because of the Aegis Emperor. You’ve watched from start to finish, so why don’t you come here and say something to your children?" Elysia looked up, beckoning the hidden spectator to come down.
"Ho ho, I can hide nothing before your eyes, huh. I thought no one would be able to notice my presence in the hyperspace."
A spatial rift tore through the space above the arena. The crowd gasped in awe as a majestic figure emerged like a bright blue star, descending as if the laws of gravity were his to command.
The Emperor of Aegis was clad in flowing blue robes adorned with sapphire. His presence radiated an overwhelming aura of power. His eyes gleamed with ageless wisdom to survey everyone.
Everyone in the arena was caught between reverence and fear. They instinctively fell to their knees. Even the gathered royalties bow low as a sign of respect and submission to the Emperor’s unparalleled authority.
"Let us speak truthfully now, without the guise of mortal station." Aegis was honestly curious. He wondered why the immortal lady would spare her precious time to play along with his foolish children’s scheme.
"So, you ended your seclusion early and decided to meet us as the Emperor. They are naughty children, begging for attention, but also deserving of punishment. I wonder why you neglect them, letting them do as they please." Elysia rested her cheek on her palm, honestly wondering. Broadly speaking, Aegis gave excessive privileges to his children, spoiling them with power that could ruin them.
He spent most of his time in seclusion, but his real self was always online in the Aegis System. And yet, he simply let those spoiled brats do whatever they wanted.
"They are free to do whatever they want as long as they don’t break the imperial rules. Regardless, they need to build what can make them my worthy descendants." Aegis laughed. He just didn’t have time for them. As long as they didn’t cause any big trouble, he turned a blind eye to whatever they did.
"It feels wrong and strange to me. Is this the world’s standard?" Elysia wondered, but she didn’t bother with it.
Aegis simply made his children with a method she didn’t know, but all of his descendants apparently had no mothers, or perhaps, it was just unknown to anyone other than Aegis himself. After the descendants were born, he simply sent his descendants to the remote region, entrusting the task of raising them to his people as commoners.
Once his descendants reached adulthood, he would send his envoys to fetch his descendants to the Imperial Palace, changing their status from commoners to royalties. And after that, he literally neglected his children, letting them do as they pleased.
"If you have free time, how about you stay for a little longer? You can educate them better if you want."
"Are you trying to keep me?"
"That’s your assumption, but I will provide the best facilities if you wish to settle down here."
"Thanks, but no. We have some ongoing tasks. We will come with some interesting goods on our next visit."
"Alright then, I’ll look forward to it."
"Fufu, and prepare your funds. We’re a professional merchant."
Elysia and Aegis chatted lightly like old friends.
Yet, the situation raised suspicions among many people. They witnessed the scene with their own eyes and ears, and the Guardian of Dream’s leader was clearly no ordinary person as the Emperor of Aegis himself spoke highly of her and was also polite to her.
"Children, you owe an apology to Lady El. She is my friend, the revered Archduke appointed by me, and also the distinguished interstellar merchant from afar. She came to deliver my purchases. Her source of funds is unquestionably under her name." Aegis turned around, explaining a bit so nobody would try to bother the immortal lady.
"!!!" Althar, Cedric, and Lucien were shocked beyond measure. The merchant they wished to bully and exploit was actually the Emperor’s friend. They had never once heard their father had a friend before, but one appeared before them, and they messed with a truly dangerous person. If they couldn’t obtain her forgiveness, then it would truly be a disaster.
"Wha-" Euphemia’s already pale face grew even paler. She felt her heart stop beating and her blood stopped flowing for a second, as she was too shocked by the revelation.
"I would be happy if they could learn from this. But, you also need to take the blame. I’ll give you this. If the next time your children behave badly, I’ll hold you accountable as well, Lord Aegis." Elysia sighed and handed over several books.
The four imperial descendants were still stunned, petrified by the revelation. However, the parent would be responsible for the children’s misconduct. Therefore, she gifted books about how to be a great parent, understanding your child, and how to raise a child.
