My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 124: Help!
After beating Vyra, the whole Sanguini guild didn’t seem interested in fighting more.
All except the woman who got sucker punched by Claire at the very beginning.
Every once in a while she opened and closed her mouth, rubbing her jaw with pain as she glared at the blonde beauty, her mind bubbling with thoughts of revenge.
However, the majority ruled and thus, the poor woman couldn’t do a thing. Not like she could’ve managed to defeat Claire regardless.
"Since you all are here as well, I can only assume you all are also targeting tombats?" Claire asked calmly once the atmosphere felt more mellowed out.
"Wow you actually have a brain? Surprising!" the woman taunted, rubbing her jaw painfully.
Vyra chuckled. "That’s enough, Sena," she then turned to Claire. "Yes, we need 10 for our task."
Jaq narrowed her eyes, her twin daggers spinning in her grasp lazily. "We need 10 as well. Since we were here first, let’s go turn by turn, yeah?"
Vyra laughed, shaking her head. "Since we are more people we should go first."
Eva smiled beautifully from the back, giggling. "Yet all of you got beaten badly. Do we need to send our Aaron for another brawl to teach you manners?"
Katie and Lia gloated at the Sanguini guild members, adding their own mockeries into the mix.
Vyra’s expression hardened, her gaze shifting to look at Aaron who stood tall and calm, his lips curled into a serene smile as if he was a sage who achieved the dao of peace.
She respected him a great deal after he managed to defeat her in a fair fight, and in addition, he was also handsome!
But despite the respect and interest she had for him, she didn’t want to jeopardize her tasks for him.
She turned to look at Eva, calmness exuding out of her. "We are going in first. We will make sure not to hunt a single tombat over the required 10. You can have the rest."
"We don’t know how many there are, so how about we go first?" Claire refused to back down as well, knowing that if they missed their chance now, finding more tombats would be nigh impossible and their task would be doomed.
Not only that, they would have to pay a fat penalty for reserving a task and still failing to complete it. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
As for how they both got their hands on the same task, Claire could only sigh in frustration. There were rare chances that it happened under intense and busy situations, when two agencies posted the same task and both got listed by the government.
Vyra had realized as such as well and yet, the realization changed nothing.
Due to governmental error, the UHRA would not charge a penalty for not finishing the task, but they won’t be getting any rewards either.
And it was the rewards that lured their small group so far. How could they forsake the rewards?
It just so seemed as if another fight may break out between the groups, but then a noise suddenly pulled their attention towards the stadium.
"HELP ME! ANYONE! PLEASEEE!"
It was a masculine voice, the pitch low and echoing with fear clear in the tone.
All the women present exchanged glances with each other, their gazes settling on the thin and narrow entrance to the stadium that appeared to be stained with blood and flesh.
The entire huge stadium only had two paths to enter or exit from, and out of which one was most usually locked shut.
So realistically, there was only a single path that one could take to enter or exit the stadium, and in the event of a labyrinth outbreak, such a scenario spelled nothing but doom for all the civilians, and even the raiders in most cases.
The tombat that they were tasked to hunt was one of the most notorious and annoying nocturnal creatures that could be found within the Gammora Labyrinth.
It wasn’t strong at all. The ranking of their race came at only a couple ranks higher than a normal hobgoblin.
However, its true strength wasn’t in physical might, but rather the strength of swarms and tactical warfare.
The tombats were blessed with the ability to shapeshift, allowing them to turn into regular bats to hide and camouflage themselves. But of course, the universe was fair so it weakened them during the day and gave them slight visibility under the moonlight.
As when the moonlight falls upon their figure, it causes them to appear in their true forms rather than their shapeshifted disguise.
This was the only way to hunt them properly unless you wanted the blood of countless innocent bats on your hands.
"It could be a mimic." Lia reminded their group, her voice cutting through the echoing masculine screams and snapping everyone out of their daze.
"That’s true. A mimic was also among the monsters that managed to survive the initial clearing of the monsters." A woman from the Sanguini guild nodded with a thoughtful expression on her face.
"I have a simple fix to it. I can do word magic." Another woman chirped haughtily, finally getting the chance to flaunt her unique mastery over magic.
Seeing as no one was resistant to her idea, she summoned a wand into her hand and closed her eyes.
Faint mana particles began to get expelled out of her pores, something Aaron could feel due to his close connection with this strange energy as she started to speak in a soft voice.
She started slow, only a couple words at a time before increasing the speed so much so that all everyone else could hear was mindless blabbering.
But Aaron could feel it was much more than just random blabber, as the mana itself seemed to respond to her words.
"Where are you?" the woman said softly, smiling with her eyes closed as a mana string floated into the air and headed within the stadium to convey the question.
Instantly, the reply came.
"HELPPPP! PLEASE, HELP!"
